The Nexus is a powerful multi-dimensional machine that rips heroes and villains from their homeworlds and sets them against each other on battlefields in far off destinations (for reasons that no one can explain)! Under normal circumstances, it just takes characters from the worlds of Blizzard Entertainment (Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo). But in celebration of the new season of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, and the announced release date of Heroes of the Storm (tm), the Nexus has sent some of Blizzard's greatest champions to battle the holders of the Elements of Harmony in Equestria!

Now, with Princess Twilight trapped inside their team's Core, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy and Rarity must take their team of 5 to the lanes to battle in DotA-style to save their friend, and their base, in Ponies of the Storm!!!!

(I recommend changing your chapter reading format to have a dark background to read this. You'll see why.)

*IMPORTANT*
Time to get real for a second. I'm not going to finish this story. There are two main reasons.
1. Activision's influence over Blizzard has soiled a once beloved company. Their premature halting of development on Heroes of the Storm showed their love, not for creation and entertainment, but for profit. The same with the mishandling and understaffing of Warcraft 3 Reforged. A company exists to make profit, I understand that. However, after things like the Diablo Immortal incident and the Blitzchung fiasco, I can see they no longer aim to please fans and make money at the same time.
2. More importantly, after the recent allegations that have come to light (July 2021) about the behind-the-scenes activities at Blizzard themselves, I can no longer support them as a company. It hurts. I love their characters and their games, but... unless they clean house and really fix their internal issues, I cannot give them another penny. I will not give them any additional positive attention by continuing this story. Can you "separate art from the artist?" Do you stop watching movies or shows if a lead actor has been shown to have done something despicable? Can you be sure every name listed in the credits is always a well-behaved human? What percentage of the people involved in a piece of media can do something wrong before the whole thing is tainted? I think many people have had to deal with these questions in recent years. Whether you do or not is for each individual to decide. As for me, in this case, the artist has ruined the art for me.

Pinocchio wasn't the only wooden puppet to become a real person.

There are other puppets out there, animal-like beings controlled by quasi-intelligent trees. Ponies call them timberwolves and know them as nothing but beasts. But what happens if one of those beasts were to gain the intelligence and ambition of one of the most successful hunters in the universe, a human?

This story loosely shares continuity from Split Second: An Eternity Divided. Reading that is not required at all.

Isaac, or "Ike" as he is commonly referred to as, is a run-of-the-mill young man with a past untold. He had a wonderful life growing up, until a sudden turn of events left him working day to day as a miserable cowboy of Northern New Mexico. Shutting himself from the rest of the world, but at the costly expense of prolonged loneliness. A true loner.

However, that all changed when Ike is sent to Equestria to rekindle the dying spark what remains of his hollow chest. Not only meeting new faces, but also the drawn faces of his forgotten creations.

Unbeknownst to the isolated frontiersman, a dark secret rests within this brand new world, waiting to bubble to the surface. What terrors will be found?

Book 1: In 2095 A.D., the US launched the first Colony Ship, headed for Centaurus: a planet in Alpha Centauri's habitable zone. 6000 years later, the colonists found a way home from the system the accident sent them to: one of four human nations forged from the survivors of the crash had opened the EarthGate, giving them control over contact with Earth, which they visited immediately, only to find something had beaten them to the cradle of humanity and had wiped all traces of humanity from its surface,

A crossover between Sid Meier's Civilization II: Test of Time's Scifi mode (it's a really awesome experience for those of you who haven't played it. Plus, Scifi mode is already a crossover between Civ and Master of Orion!) and The Conversion Bureau! Earth fell to ponification in 8080 A.D., only twenty years before the Lost Colony opened the gateway home. This was going to be a single fic, but due to a suggestion from Safhell, who preread the chapters I have at the time of posting this, it's being split into a saga! This first story is the introduction, and from there, the story will split into multiple paths following different characters and situations during the ensuing conflict until a conclusion fic is added to end the saga with the grand finale! (If you guys don't like the idea of it being a saga instead of a standalone, let me know, and if enough of you are against the saga idea, I'll just merge them all into this fic).

Please leave constructive criticism for anything I could do better, for I know this fic is far from perfect. Just remember that a lot of things use the mindset present in all Sid Meier's Civilization games, so logic is a bit skewed at times when compared to how things work in the real world (such as the colony ship being all citizens of the nation that launched it and not multinational. It's just how Sid designed the games).
