A normal end to a normal day -- at least, that's what it was supposed to be.

But it wasn't.

Luna went to raise the moon as usual, but something went wrong. Terribly wrong. She felt it, but she couldn't stop it.

None of us could.

It appeared too suddenly -- acted too quickly.

The only warning we received was a roar and a bright flash of light, then everything was gone. No more Canterlot, no more ponies, no more anything.

Nothing survived.

Nothing... except for us and whatever 'it' is.

We may be immortal beings, but that doesn't make things any better -- if anything, it makes the pain all that much worse. The only thing we can really do now is try to avenge those dear to us. Our subjects... our families... my friends...

Everything.

I don't care how long it takes, and I don't care if it's a pointless battle. All I care about now is making sure we put that thing down for good.

After that?

Twilight has been assigned by Princess Celestia to study Dark Magic, something that has almost virtually died out. One day, halfway through her assignment, she receives a surprise visit from the Princess herself, who gives warning that dark and trying times are coming, and returns home. A confused Twilight then begins searching for large problems, both inside Equestria and out. When she discovers a major threat that nopony is prepared for, things quickly go downhill. Equestria seems doomed to total destruction, until a hooded pony appears with an offer. An offer that could either save them from catastrophe, or make things much, much worse...

Story is canon until Twilight becomes an Alicorn.

The idea for this (as well as the title) came from the game, Dark Cloud. I am not affiliated with Sony or Level-5 in any way.

But when the latest Cmc stunt goes a little to far, Sweetie makes a horrifying discovery that turns her world upside down - and turn her friends against her.
Unable to bear the haunting looks of others, she runs away from home.

Thus - with the world seemingly stacked against her - she sets of on a journey to try and discover the truth behind her existence, and the secrets of her origin. And above all else if there is a place where she belongs.

Or will this be a heart's warming eve she'll be forced to spend alone?

So, once again I escape my prison, falsely accused of being crazy. I have only one person to turn to. I hope she still loves me after what I did last time. Now, about that crazy bit, I'm not crazy. I'm mentally incomplete, learn the difference.

Now to actually get myself 'fixed' I need a knife, and a way into Princess Twilights living quarters. Any ideas?

This is a new Idea I had. A Displaced story that is not about the Displaced but another being from the Equestria the Displaced got sent to.

He couldn't let this lie, not now. This was his chance to pay back the one person who truly changed his life. Red Mann didn't give him this assignment, Red Sniper made this one himself. The others will not help him on this, the skilled assassin decided this was a job he can only do himself. No other shall get involved, her life was his to save... No one else's.

The BLUs were after the one that pulled him out of the gutter, out of the darkness within his mind. They showed him quite a time, and always had that smile on her face. She made him feel good about things, made him want to keep seeing the next day. To keep fighting on, so that she could keep smiling.

That's a promise, and a professional keeps his promises.

I'm so sorry. We opened the box...
