Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo have done many attempts at getting their cutie marks, but failed every time. They fail to realize that this isn't about talent, it's about knowing yourself, and the best way to know that is through your dreams. With the help of a pony named Nights, they'll surely find the last key to getting their cutie marks.

Or so they thought. But what happens when three mystical and musical creatures from Equestria obtain Chaos energy and Equestrian magic? And plan to use it to conquer the world? Heroes must return and join together once again to save the world again, while surviving high school, AGAIN.

So after a few strange beings ended up in Equestria, and she got to know Shadow - the serene and lonely Hedgehog - she immediately began trying to make him happy. But so far, it hasn't been working. She's tried everything, but he just doesn't seem to be a sociable guy.

She has already learnt her lesson, thanks to Cranky Doodle. She can't just pester Shadow in an attempt to make him crack a grin. Instead, she has to find out what had turned him into such an introvert. So she decides to throw him a huge, blowout surprise party for him on Hearts and Hooves day.

But she has barely scratched the surface of Shadow's dark history. Little does she know of the things in store for her that particular Hearts and Hooves.

After their original dinner was ruined by Sonata, the Rainbooms, the Dazzlings and Flash Sentry decided to eat out at a Mexican restaurant called Sombra’s Taco Ranch. While dinning, Sonata accidentally switched the signs and ended up in the freezer instead of the bathroom. She couldn't leave because the freezer door was broken and can only be opened from the outside! To make matters worse, Sonata’s mistake leads everyone in a restaurant trapped in the freezer with her.

Sonic, a boy who's life is always hectic on his adventures while he's on his runs he comes across a purple haired girl named Twilight Sparkle who gets sent to Sonic's world from a failed spell she did.

Together these two polar opposites will go together in adventures and might end up getting more closer then apart.

However, her fellow Shadowbolts and best friends don't seem interested in playing music with her, claiming their genre preferences are too different for this to work. When everyone else at Crystal Prep Academy turns her down as well and she is about to give up, she unexpectedly receives help from two girls outside of her school. But soon, Lemon must learn creative differences as well as a certain past between her fellow band members might make this band thing a bit more complicated han she originally thought it would be...

Trixie was looking forward for her cruise trip on her summer vacation, but was ruined the moment she met up with a member of the Rainbooms and the Dazzlings and ended up on a trip with them. Just when her day couldn't get any worse, their ship was caught in a hurricane and then ended up stranded on a desert island. As Pinkie and Sonata were busy having fun, Trixie was determined to get herself off of this island without losing any more of her sanity.

Sonic, Shadow, and Silver have been sent to the world of Canterlot High along with the seven Chaos Emeralds by the Master Emerald after hearing of a prophecy about the fate of worlds. They will have to go through school again if they are to regain the seven Chaos Emeralds and saved the worlds from the eternal darkness, for the emeralds have been claimed by some of the students of Canterlot High.
