Chapter 20
Battle of the World Fate
(Group POV)
The teens were standing on a hill, looking at Metal Overlord, Mephiles, and Nightmare Rose
"What do we do?" Rarity asked.
"We need to regain all the Chaos Emeralds!" Rainbow said.
Suddenly Metal Overlord roared, and he spit out seven gray objects, towards the teens, "You want your Chaos Emeralds? Well here you go!"
The seven Chaos Emeralds landed at the feet of our heroes, grey and drained completely of their energy.
The girls each picked up an Emerald and looked down at them.
"Without the Chaos Emeralds' energy, we can't become our Chaos Guardian forms. What now?" Rainbow asked.
"We can restore the Chaos Emeralds' energy, but it requires either the Negative or Positive energy given from emotions." Sonic said.
"But just us 14 aren't enough to fill them completely." Ace said.
Then Silver remembered something, "The Prophecy!"
"What?" Shadow asked.
Silver pulled out the prophecy scroll and handed it to Knuckles, "Read this out loud Knuckles."
"The servers are the seven Chaos. Chaos is power, power enriched by the heart. Harmony is control, control of the Chaos power. Chaos and Harmony joined together to stop the darkness." Knuckles read.
Suddenly seven small beams shot out of the scroll, causing Knuckles to fall backwards.
The beams shot towards each of the girls holding a Chaos Emerald.
"Sweetness. Time to restore the Chaos Emeralds and go Super." Sonic said.
But the beams didn't go into the Chaos Emeralds. Instead, they went into the girls.
"What?" Sonic said.
Rainbow Dash the Chaos Ninja, Rarity the Chaos Archer, Sunset Shimmer the Chaos Knight, and Twilight Sparkle the Chaos Mage appeared.
Then Fluttershy, Applejack, and Pinkie Pie were each hit by a beam.
Fluttershy had a yellow robe with a hood, and she had a conch horn in her right hand, "I am Fluttershy the Chaos Tamer."
Pinkie Pie had formed two pink arm cannons on her arms, a reticule formed over her eye, "I'm Pinkie Pie the Chaos Party Girl."
Applejack had two lassos on her sides, she had leather gloves, and her boots now had spurs, "Ah'm Applejack the Chaos Cowgirl."
"And together, we are the Chaos Guardians!" The Chaos Warriors shouted in union.
Then the Chaos Emeralds they were holding flew up and began to glow brightly, and they refilled the energy.
"You guys will need these." Rainbow said to the Mobains.
The Chaos Emeralds then began to circle Sonic, Shadow, and Silver. And then they entered the three boys.
Sonic's hair had pointed upward was golden-yellow; his clothes had become golden-yellow; and his eyes had become crimson red, "Now I'll show you!"
Shadow's hair had become golden-white, with his red streaks; his clothes had become golden-white; and his eyes had become ruby-red, "Behold, the ultimate power!"
Silver's hair had become golden-white like Shadow's, his clothes had become golden-white; his gloves were now glowing golden-yellow instead of blue; and his eyes were ruby red, "Let's do this."
"Ace and I are in this too. But not us." Dark smirked as the Dark Emeralds appeared around him and Ace.
"Dark Fusion!" The two brothers shouted in union.
When they fused together, Drake stood where the two used to be, "Let's do this."
"LET'S GO!" All of them shouted.
Super Sonic, Super Shadow, and Super Silver flew towards Metal Overlord.
Drake and Lilac ran over to Nightmare Rose.
And the Chaos Guardians ran over to Mephiles.
(Nightmare Rose vs Team Darkness)

Drake and Lilac looked up at Nightmare Rose.
"Nightmare Rose! We challenge you to a duel!" Drake called.
Nightmare Rose slowly drifted downwards to the ground, "Oh? Do you now? What are the stakes?"
"If we win and defeat you, you release Amy Rose from your power." Lilac said.
"And if I win and defeat you both?" Nightmare Rose asked.
"You can have the power of Drake the Dark Chaos Master." Drake offered.
"No. It's of no use to me." Nightmare Rose said.
"Then what do you want?" Drake asked.
"I know what she wants." Lilac said.
Nightmare Rose smirked.
"She wants me." Lilac said.
Nightmare Rose clapped, "At least someone is smart."
"No. You cannot have Lilac. You can take over my body. You can take Dark's. But you will not have Lilac's." Drake said standing in front of Lilac.
"Drake... er... Dark, Ace, or who ever you are. I can take care of myself." Lilac said, "Now let's take care of this nightmare."
"Uh uh. Two on one isn't quite fair." Nightmare Rose said snapping her fingers.
A black cage formed over Lilac, trapping her in it, "Hey. What gives?"
Drake turned back towards Nightmare Rose, but received a nice high kick to the face, "Gah!"
"Pay attention Drakey boy." Nightmare Rose smirked.
Drake growled and fired a dark chaos beam at Nightmare Rose.
But she just dodged it, "Really? Is that all the great Drake can do?" She taunted.
Drake dived into his shadow and disappeared.
Nightmare Rose smirked, "You really think you can hide from me? You're too easy to predict."
Nightmare Rose turned around, just as Drake rose out of the shadows behind her, and grabbed his throat.
"Gahk! How... did you... gahk... know?" Drake choked.
"Battle strategy is a wonderful thing. Especially when you know your enemy's." Nightmare Rose smirked. She threw Drake into a wall, "Hmph. Too easy."
Then the rubble started to glow blueish.
"Hmm?" Nightmare Rose said looking at the glowing rubble.
Suddenly the rubble blasted to pieces, and Drake charged at Nightmare Rose, grabbing her throat in the process.
"Gah!" Nightmare Rose choked.
Drake's eyes were blood red and filled with pure rage and anger, "I will make you suffer!"
Lilac's eyes widened as she watched Drake choke Nightmare Rose, "DRAKE STOP! CONTROL YOUR ANGER!"
But Drake wouldn't listen.
'It seems Drake inherits Dark's lack of emotional control. He's going to kill Amy if he can't control himself.' Lilac thought to herself. Then she had an idea, 'Ace! If you can hear me, you need to stop Drake. Cancel out Dark Fusion.' She said telepathically.
'But Lilac, if I do that, then Dark and I will be knocked unconscious.' Ace said.
'If you don't, Amy Rose will be killed. Is that what you want? Another innocent life gone by Dark's hands again?' Lilac said.
Ace didn't respond.
'ACE!' Lilac shouted.
Suddenly Drake's eyes widened and he let Nightmare Rose go, "GAH! Ace!? What are you doing!? NO! STOP!"
Drake then split back into Dark and Ace, but they were both rendered unconscious.
"Too easy." Nightmare Rose smirked. Then she looked at Lilac, "Your turn." She snapped her fingers and the cage rose off Lilac, and dropped over Dark and Ace's bodies.
"Let me warn you, I will not lose." Lilac said.
"I don't plan on losing either." Nightmare Rose said.
Lilac snapped her fingers and knight armor formed over her, then her rapier appeared in her hand, "Let's dance."
Nightmare Rose swiftly flew towards Lilac and summoned a dark sword.
The two sword linked and pushed against each others blades.
"Hrgg. You won't win Nightmare Rose." Lilac grunted.
"So you say." Nightmare Rose smirked. She then kicked Lilac's legs out from under her.
Lilac fell backwards, "Ah!"
Nightmare Rose then snapped her fingers.
Suddenly Lilac's arms and legs were strapped to the floor by dark blue ropes.
Lilac strangled against the bindings, but it was useless.
"This is where I say goodbye to Amy Rose, and hello Lilac." Nightmare Rose said bending over to touch Lilac's forehead.
"NO!" A dark javelin then hit Nightmare Rose's hand, knocking her away from Lilac.
"AH!" Nightmare Rose yelled. She looked over and saw Dark awake, and holding onto the cage's bars.
"Don't even think about touching my sister." Dark growled. He then ripped the bars apart and ran towards Nightmare Rose.
"Impossible. How did you break free!?" Nightmare Rose said shocked.
Dark ran up and punched Nightmare Rose in the head, shattering her helmet, "Because I am Dark Steele, the Master of Darkness."
Then Dark noticed a dark blue gem with a green eye inside it on Nightmare Rose's forehead, 'That must be her weak point.'
Nightmare Rose got up and began to fly away.
"Don't even think about it." Dark yelled as he jumped up to her. He grabbed her legs and began to pull her down.
"AHHH!" Nightmare Rose yelled, her wings began to beat faster and she continued to fly further up.
Dark began to climb up Nightmare Rose's legs. Then he reached for her wings. He grabbed them and then summoned a dark dagger, "This won't kill you, but it will hurt a lot." He then sliced the wings off.
Nightmare Rose screamed in pain.
The two then began to fall back to the ground.
When they hit, Nightmare Rose couldn't stand, due to much pain searing through her body. She looked at her now cut off wings that lay on the ground, "My wings. My beautiful wings."
"Too bad it's all over for you now." Dark said.
Nightmare Rose looked up at Dark, just as he brought down his dagger. He stabbed the gem's eye and it began to pour out dark blue energy.
"AHHHH! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!" Nightmare Rose screamed, holding her head.
"I ended your nightmare." Dark responded.
Nightmare Rose let out one last scream. Then she reverted back to Amy Rose, still wearing Nightmare Rose's armor. Amy then fell unconscious.
(Metal Overlord vs Team Super)
Metal Overlord was flying over the clouds, firing several crystals at Super Sonic, Super Shadow, and Super Silver.
"I will destroy you this time Sonic." Overlord yelled.
Super Sonic did a boost-dash through the crystals, smashing them in the process, "Yeah right Metal. You've said that several times, but in the end, you always loose."
Super Silver used his psychokinesis to grab some of the crystals and sent them back at Overlord, "Its no use Metal, you won't win."
"I may have lost every other try, but this time, I WILL PREVAIL!" Overlord yelled. He dived below the clouds and came back up with a fraction of the Dark Castle, "Catch!" He threw it towards the three teens.
"Chaos Blast!" Super Shadow yelled, exploding with pure chaos energy, and destroying the projectile.
"Ready guys?" Sonic asked.
Shadow and Silver nodded.
"Super Team Blast!" The three shouted in union.
They charged at Overlord and hit him in several areas at once.
"Ahg!" Overlord yelled, trying to swipe at the three super mobians.
When they flew away, Overlord growled, "Chaos Control!"
Super Sonic and Super Silver both froze in time, but Super Shadow remained unaffected, "Hmph. You thought using the Chaos Force would stop me? Wrong. I am the ultimate life form. Chaos Spear Rain!"
Several Chaos Spears came raining down upon Overlord.
"Gah! Rah!" Overlord yelled. He then shot three crystal spears at Shadow.
Before the spears hit Shadow, Sonic smashed them each with homing attacks, "Got your back Shadow."
Shadow grinned, "Thanks Sonic."
Silver then used his psychokinesis to grab one of the castle fractions Overlord threw at them, and threw it back, "Catch this, Metal."
Overlord wasn't expecting Silver to be able to throw the castle piece back at him. The shard smashed into him and damaged his circuits, "THAT'S IT!"
Overlord then dove under the clouds. Then a bright light flashed from under the clouds.
"Gah. What is Metal doing?" Silver asked shielding his eyes.
Overlord rose back above the clouds, but he had the Alpha Egg Cannon merged into his arm, "You're all finished!" He charged the cannon and pointed it at the three heroes.
"Uh oh." Sonic said looking at the cannon.
The cannon shot a huge beam, that engulfed the three super heroes.
"Gah!" They shouted.
When the beam died down, the three were still in their Super forms, but running low on energy.
"*Huff* We *Huff* can't *huff* another one of *huff* those hits. Next time *huff* we're finished." Sonic groaned.
Overlord began to charge the cannon again, "Goodbye Sonic, Shadow, and Silver. Have fun in hell." He shot the cannon towards the three again.
Suddenly another beam from below the clouds shot towards the Alpha Beam, and canceled the attack.
"What!?" Overlord growled.
The Blue Typhoon, fully repaired and upgraded, rose out from below the clouds. And now it had a new Sonic Power Cannon with three turrets, mounted on it.
"Sonic, Silver, and Shadow. Get into the Triple-Super-Sonic Power Cannon!" Tails' voice called.
Sonic, Silver, and Shadow each flew into a turret and stood at the platform in the cannon.
"Ready?" Super Sonic asked getting into a crouching position.
"You know it." Super Silver said charging his psychokinesis.
"Time to show you the ultimate power." Super Shadow said pulling off his inhibitor rings.
"LET'S DO THIS!" The three yelled in union.
The three began to charge spin dashes.
"50%... 75%... 99%... And Fire!" Tails said pulling the trigger.
Overlord shot another Alpha Beam towards the Blue Typhoon.
And at the same time, Sonic, Silver, and Shadow were shot out of the Super-Sonic Cannon.
The three Super heroes collided with the Alpha Beam, and the two forces pushed against each other.
Team Super began to push the beam back towards Overlord.
"No. No. NO! This is not how it is supposed to be!" Overlord shouted.
"Too bad Metal." Silver said.
"You thought you could finish us by becoming a monster? Wrong!" Shadow shouted.
"You're through Metal." Sonic yelled.
Team Super pushed the beam back into the Alpha Cannon and then they charged straight through Overlord's core, creating a giant hole in him.
Overlord then began to fall, "Why!? Why do I always loose!"
"Because we're the good guys. And you're not." Sonic said.
Overlord's head then ejected off, and his body exploded. The head then changed into Neo Metal again, and then back to normal Metal Sonic. He then plummeted below the clouds, disappearing.
"Yeah! We did it!" Silver cheered.
"It's not over yet." Shadow said.
"Mephiles still lives." Sonic said.
The team then flew down below the clouds and headed towards the place where Mephiles was.

(Mephiles Battle)
Mephiles stood on the hill that the Dark Castle once stood, now reduced to rubble.
Team Guardians, Team Super, and Team Darkness ran up to the ruins, and glared at Mephiles.
"We have you out numbered Mephiles, give up now." Super Sonic said.
Mephiles only laughed, "Don't you think your energy is running low for Team Super?"
Team Super suddenly reverted back to their normal states.
"Dammit." Shadow groaned, he placed his inhibitor rings back on.
"Team Darkness have now power over me, due to them only relying on dark and chaos energy." Mephiles said.
"Dammit. He's right." Dark said.
"So the only team that has a small fighting chance against me is Team Guardians." Mephiles said looking at the Chaos Guardians.
"We'll still take you on any day Mephiles." Rainbow said, pulling out three shurikens.
"We've beaten you before, and we'll do it again." Twilight said, opening her spell book, and her staff glowed purple.
Mephiles laughed once again, "You didn't listen to me. You only have a small chance against me."
"We'll see about that." Rarity said quickly drawing her bow and shot an ice arrow at Mephiles.

The arrow hit Mephiles and he was covered in ice.
But the ice then shattered and Mephiles laughed, "Your attacks are only an annoyance to me. I'll show you are true attack." He shot a beam towards Rarity.
Pinkie shot a pink chaos beam at Mephiles' beam, canceling the beam.
"Thank you very much darling." Rarity said.
"Chaos Cage!" Twilight said pointing her staff at Mephiles.
A purple cage formed around Mephiles.
"You think you can contain me!?" Mephiles said grabbing the bars. He then ripped them apart and absorbed the energy, "Thank you for the energy."
Suddenly he was cut from both front and back, "Gah!"
Sunset and Rainbow both jumped back, swords drawn.
"How are you able to harm me!?" Mephiles asked.
"We've been waiting for your return, Mephiles." Rainbow said.
Mephiles then had a slight flash back, "Ah. So you are the Chaos Guardians from 500 years ago. When I was working with King Sombra."
"Yes. And we'll defeat you again." Sunset said.
"Hmhmhmhm. Oh you seven are done from this point on." Mephiles laughed.
"What are you talking about?" Rarity asked.
Suddenly two rainbow beams shot from behind Mephiles, and spiraled upward, "I mean, you seven Chaos Guardians are going away, permanently!"
"That's a Harmony Beam. But the Harmony beam only works on evil." Twilight said.
"But when tampered and altered by dark, negative, or chaos energy, the polarity can be reversed." Mephiles said, "I have set it to remove all Chaos Guardian spirits from within your bodies."
The Chaos Guardians' eyes widened.
The rainbow beam then shot down towards the Guardians, then formed a rainbow tornado around them.
"AHH!" They all screamed.
When the beam disappeared, the girls were still wearing the armor of the Chaos Guardians.
"Uhg. What happened?" Rainbow said, then she saw her clothes, "WHAT THE HECK!?"
The other girls had the same reactions to their appearances.
"Oh my stars what are we all wearing? Rarity was this you?" Applejack asked.
"Heavens no. Though I do ever so much love the clothes." Rarity said.
"It worked! The Chaos Guardian spirits are gone! Now only their descendants exist!" Mephiles cheered.
"Girls. The Chaos Guardians that were in you, they're gone now. You're the last of the Chaos Guardians." Sonic said.
"So wait, I'm a ninja?" Rainbow asked, "It's a good thing I have martial arts training already." Rainbow said pulling out a shuriken.
"I've had archery training before. But not much." Rarity said drawing an arrow.
"These cannons are like my party cannon, just on my arms." Pinkie said charging her cannons.
Fluttershy looked at her horn and blew into it. Suddenly several animals came running to her side. They growled at Mephiles, "Oh. I think I've got my ability down."
Applejack swung both her lassos, which glowed orange when she swung them, and lassoed them to a street light pole, "This is just like lassoing a bull at the rodeo."
Twilight looked through her spell book, "These chaos spells are very similar to the ones I use back in Equestria. Let's try this one. Chaos Control." She then teleported behind Tails.
"Wha!" Tails jumped when Twilight appeared behind him.
Twilight gave him a kiss, "Peek-a-boo, Miles."
Tails blushed.
Sunset unsheathed her sword, which the blade glowed vibrant red-orange, "Swords can't be that much different from any other thing I can swing... Like that sledge hammer." Then she blushed in embarrassment, "God I hate my old self."
Mephiles then smirked, "Don't think you have the advantage because you have more members. Dark Chaos Beam!" He shot a Chaos Beam towards the girls.
"Chaos Shield!" Twilight said pointing her staff upward. A shield then burst out of the staff and around the girls, deflecting the beam.
"Grr. Chaos Blast." Mephiles yelled. Chaos energy exploded from him and shattered the shield.
"Gah!" Twilight groaned, "It seems if my spells are damaged, I am damaged too."
"Don't worry Twi. We won't always need your spells." Rainbow said pulling her mouth-mask up.
Rainbow then ran with quick speed, towards Mephiles.
Mephiles shot several beams at Rainbow.
Rainbow jumped onto walls and ran across them, dodging every beam Mephiles shot. Then she jumped off the wall and kicked Mephiles in the face.
"Gah!" Mephiles yelled in pain. His nose began to bleed. He touched the blood and growled, "I will destroy you!"
"Chaos Bla..." Mephiles began, but was cut off when two lassos grabbed his arms from behind.
Applejack pulled Mephiles against a rock and held him to it, "If ya'll are gonna do something. Do it now."
Fluttershy blew her horn and summoned several crows. She pointed at Mephiles and the crows flew up to him and began scratching his body.
"AHG!" Mephiles yelled as the crows cut his face and body. Then his eyes flashed. A sudden strong gust of wind blasted from his body, sending the crows and Applejack down to the ground, "I've been going easy on you all. Now I am going hardcore!"
He jumped into the air and crossed his arms. Dark and Chaos energy began to build up into him, "RAH!" He yelled, uncrossing his arms. A dark flame aura formed over his body.
"Dark Chaos Lance!" Mephiles yelled, throwing a dark blue chaos lance at the girls.
Pinkie quickly shot the lance with her arm-cannons. The lance then blew up, "Blowing stuff up is fun."
"DARK CHAOS STORM!" Dark blue energy began to form a sphere around Mephiles, creating a small storm, and it kept expanding.
Rarity quickly drew a light arrow and aimed towards the center of the small storm, then moved a quarter inch to the left. When she released the arrow, it flew into the storm and veered towards the center.
"GAH!" Mephiles shouted as the arrow hit his chest.
The storm died down and left Mephiles wide open for attack.
Sunset ran towards Mephiles and jumped above him.
Mephiles saw her and he dropped to the ground on his feet.
"You fell for my trap." Sunset smirked.
"What?" Mephiles asked.
The Sunset that was in midair disappeared in a puff of purple smoke.
Then Mephiles looked ahead of him and saw Sunset in front of him, "Uh oh."
Sunset's left hand glowed, then a small line of light energy passed through Mephiles.
Mephiles was suddenly caught in between two large sun symbols.
Sunset then began to slash away with attacks, and then pulled her sword back and then swung her hardest.
For those of you who don't know, that attack was based off of Link's final smash from Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
Mephiles was sent backwards and he smashed into a wall. He tried to get up, but failed. The aura disappeared from him and he lost his powers.
"Surrender now Mephiles. You've lost." Sunset said pointing her sword's tip at Mephiles' throat.
WARNING: Death scene coming.
"Never." Mephiles said firing a dark beam at the girls.
They all dodged the attack.
Twilight used her staff to raise Mephiles into the air. Then Applejack lassoed his arms. And then Sunset stabbed through Mephiles' chest.
Mephiles gasped in pain.
"It didn't have to be this way." Sunset said.
Mephiles' dead body glowed blue and became transparent. Then he disappeared.

The sky then cleared, and the sun could be seen once again.
All the citizens cheered loudly, "It's over!"
"It's all over. Mephiles is dead. Metal Sonic is gone to who knows where. Nightmare Moon is gone. And Amy is back with us." Sonic said.
They all cheered.
But little did they all know, a blue mist with green dragon-daggers was lurking nearby.
The essence of Nightmare Moon, extremely weakened, was looking at Lilac Steele, "Grr. I may have lost my body again, but I will gain a new one. Hehehe." She slithered over to Lilac and attached to her, but didn't take over her, yet.
(Next Day)
(Canterlot High School Grounds)
The Mobains and Equestria Girls stood at the mirror portals.
"Do you really have to go?" Rainbow asked sadly.
"Yes we do. According to Tails' scanners, Eggman had returned through a portal, back to Mobius." Sonic said.
"Will we ever see you again?" Rarity asked.
"We don't know. It's a small chance we'll ever get back into this world." Silver responded.
"But if we do find a way back, we will come back." Shadow said.
"We promise." Dark said.
"Alright guys, the portal beam is set and ready to fire." Tails said setting up a device that would create a portal back to Mobius, "It's a one time shot and can only take the Mobians through it."
The girls looked at their boyfriends and then gave them each a hug.
"You can keep the Chaos Guardian armor." Ace said.
"But we don't want the armor, we want you all to stay with us." Fluttershy said.
"We know. We want to stay also, but Eggman is still out there. Probably planning a new Eggman Land project." Sonic said, "Don't worry. You'll see us again soon."
The Mobains stood in one group in front of the portal beam.
The beam began to hum and glow.
"We love you all." Everyone said.
The beam shot the group and they disappeared.
"Goodbye Blue boy." Rainbow said.
"Goodbye Silvy, darling." Rarity said.
"Bye-bye Shady." Pinkie said.
"Goodbye Ace." Fluttershy said.
"Bye Knuckles." Applejack said.
"Bye Miles." Twilight said.
"Bye Dark and Lilac." Sunset said.
And so, our seven heroines went on living life like they normally did, unaware that in a year, those normal lives would be changed once again.
