Twilight thought the changelings were done and dusted until she receives a surprise visit from someone who needs her help, and a story of conspiracy and deception leads Twilight to ask herself. Who can she really trust?

While dealing with post traumatic stress brought on by the events surrounding his wedding, Shining armor is awoken in the middle of the night by a call requesting his presence. An unmasked changeling has appeared at the gates to Canterlot requesting to speak with Shining armor, and he's not speaking to anypony else. What does he want? And is there something sinister behind this, or is it all in Shining's head?

Heart Shield has always been different from other ponies, and keeps mostly to himself. When he’s sent to Ponyville, he has to learn to adjust to his new life, and new friends; quickly getting into a routine of helping around the town.
Finding an injured Chrysalis in the Everfree Forest changes his life, and the lives of his friends, in ways he never would have imagined. Despite how the others view her, and despite the past he learns she and his friends share, Heart Shield has seen a different side of her and trusts her completely.
Has the Changeling Queen truly changed, or has she merely used the naïve pegasus while a wave of new, more powerful changelings threaten to destroy everything he and his friends know?

I have never liked my queen. The way she has always kept us in this pathetic excuse for a home, never allowing us to see the life of the outside world. Why do we have to live in this disgusting hive? Why not in the fresh air and beautiful forests? I despise the way she has always ruined the lives of other races just for us to feed and thrive. There must be another way through, and I will find it before she goes through with her final scheme. I will be in eternal regret if she succeeds in this plan.

I will stop her.

No matter the cost.

Young Nictis had one dream: to serve his hive by becoming an Infiltrator, the most vital and vaunted role a changeling could aspire to. To hide in plain sight among the other species, blending in, while gathering the vital emotional energies that fueled his people. Few were deemed worthy of the dangerous job. He was one of the few nymphs selected for training, in the hopes that one of them would develop the skills needed to be entrusted with such a treacherous task.

But when a training expedition ends in tragedy, Nictis finds himself thrust into the role not to serve his hive and people, but to preserve his own life. Separated from the hive, alone, he must put what little training he has to the test. He must blend in with the hive's greatest source of food, and its most dangerous enemy: the ponies of Equestria.

(This story takes place in the same continuity as Fragments, but stands on its own. Reading that story isn't necessary for this one.)

This story is a sequel to Ponies, Pirates and Peculiar Psychopaths

Chrysalis has been driven out of Canterlot, her invasion defeated. However, an old friend from her time before becoming queen is more than happy to help her succeed with her plans.

Will these two achieve their goals, conquering pony-kind and ruling over them with iron fist and hoof? Or will they be stopped in time, preserving the peace that Equestrian has known for as long as can be remembered? There is more than just dreams of world domination at work, though, this is personal for Chrysalis and her rediscovered assistance.

Hopefully, the line that 'Evil never triumphs' will prove to be correct, or else a drastic change is going to descend upon not just Equestria, but the entire world.

The truly frightening part is he’s starting to like it.

A Changeling is rescued by space faring humans and is taught to walk an entirely different path that is separate from all other Hives. She's going to have to fight her way to create an bright future for her kind and somehow make the ponies look like idiots.

It would be so simple if the other Changeling Queens just... agreed on something other than 'look a pony! FOOD!' mindset.

Hmmm... Ever had the feeling that something is missing or wrong? That something shouldn't happen yet it does? Strangely enough, I'm feeling that way. And so does my new allies.

...

...Oh, did I forgot to mention my new allies are a bunch of pony-shaped creatures that feed on love? No? Well, they are. And the leader, Chrysalis, won't bug off me. Heh, get it? Bug off, cuz, you know, they have holes.... and look like insects and.... oh whatever.

The thing is, I'm not exactly a changeling. What's that supposed to mean? It means, I'm a human in a changeling's body........

And I DON'T LIKE IT!

Let's just hope things turn out for the best in the near future... Cuz I'm gonna need a lot of luck and miracles to make it out unscratched... but something tells me in won't be that way.

I have a 'Bitching allowed' rule where if someone dislikes my story, I wish to know why. No matter the reason, I just want to know. Doesn't hurt to know a few things about my story, does it?
