A stable rule is established by the two sisters that defeated the mad god, Princess Celestia: Pure of heart and power to raise the sun and protect her citizens. The other sister is not as fortunate to have as kind a reputation...Princess Luna: Clinging to shadows and bringer of the night. While ponies basked in the bright day, they shunned the night; leaving the younger sister to feel unwanted and alone compared to Clesetia's sun. They worked together to protect Equestria and the Princess of Night lived in the shadow of her sister, sorrow and depression mounting to rough thoughts of hate...but a certain somepony just might change that...even if the love is forbidden.

Sunset returns to Equestria to escape the living conditions of the human world. Once she gets to Ponyville to rebuild her life, she runs into a human that makes her feel complete. Except... he doesn't like ponies.

Mark was out of his league, fooling around with an immortal pony princess, and he knew it. To make life easier for himself, he accepted that as a undeniable fact. She would get bored and he would move on. He just didn't know that the great vain mare was called the Subtle Sun for a reason. And that her enemies called her that as an insult.

Princess Celestia didn't have a subtle bone in her body.

Things are a lot better for Anon since the events of Ponyville. His store is doing great and he enjoys the company of all his friends. As the days go on, he finds that the problems of the past are quick to haunt him as he is forced to face the one thing that hurt him the most.

Anon likes his life to be simple. He wakes up, goes to work and sometimes gets himself a good book to read while he is home. It's a routine that he likes to follow, it makes him feel like he has a bit of normality with his life in Equestria. The fact that having Celestia come crashing into his home as part of his routine should prove that his life is anything but normal.

Being a fanfiction writer is one of Shining Armor's greatest traits than being a captain of the royal guard. After finding out that nopony made a fanfic on FiMfiction Ponynet (Ponynet will be mentioned in the fic for future reference), he takes it as his obligation to make it happen and be the first. Deciding to take a break, he leaves his room, accidentally knocking over a magical potion that wets his work on paper, bringing Mane-iac to life. She is persistent in believing that she is in her world still and that he is her husband, causing the poor stallion to struggle with his life, hiding her from Cadence and the rest of the pony society, and trying to figure a way to return her back into the fictional world.

Life can be a cruel mistress, can it not?
