> Is It Wrong If It's Fictional > by TimeRarity64 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > My Life Might Be Over! > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Shining Armor had been a fanfiction writer since Twilight introduced him to one of her Daring Doo adventurous books. The stallion was fond of writing, always exploring his skill in many levels when he had the time. Either they’d be poetry, essays, biographies, Pikies (The pony wiki), non-fictional stories, or letters he would send to Twilight time from time; Shining Armor simply enjoyed writing. Reading was what he also enjoy, finding it one of his favourite inspirational tools to assist him in his work. The only thing Shining Armor never did was show his literature to his wife, Cadence, or his mother and father. Twilight was the only one who saw his work first and at times edited it when he couldn’t. She was also the only pony that knew his alias since he began publishing his works to the Canterlot’s Fan-works that sale hard cover copies of his fanfics at conventions, and also publishing at the famous and well-managed industry, Manehatten Free-writing Publishers. Shining Armor was only fourth to being one of the greatest writers behind their aliases. The pony in first place was Daring Doo, above Ms. E. I. Xirt, and Lunara Sol. He was proud of that achievement for sure, though he only wished he had the courage to tell his family and wife…most of all…his wife. Shining Armor enjoyed comics a lot, mostly the ones Spike collected time by time. Whenever he was asked to baby sit the dragon, he would gladly agree, hoping to read whatever new volume the baby dragon obtained. All in honesty, Shining Armor enjoy hanging out with Spike, being able to relate with him by that certain category. Time by time they would discuss their favourite comic or go to conventions. They’re times together were the times they unleashed their true nerd with their type of community. Most conventions they would attend would be Ponicon being located in Las Pegasus or Coltpan. When Twilight was going to be gone somewhere like in the Crystal Kingdom, the two would travel to annual conventions located in the Gryphon Kingdom. This was something the stallion was not ashamed about. It was normal for him. Whenever he went back home after watching over Spike, the baby dragon would let him borrow one of his comics until he was finish and returned it in its normal condition. Power Ponies was one of those comics he would ask for, enjoying the plotlines, actions, dialogues, and backgrounds with the heroes and villains that either involves being in the city known as Metropolis. Though, the heroes were not that interesting to him, instead it was villain they would encounter time by time in many issues. He was fond of this villain, the villain being a she, and loved her character for who she was. Her cynical, cruel, selfish, power-hungry, and mad character along with her traditional ominous sardonic smile was what he searched for in many villains. The femme-fatale she was, her name was Mane-iac! She was amazing in his eyes and one of his favourite types of villains that were rarely seen in many stories. She was preferred as being perfectly done in his opinion, and better than the generic, angst, and life-hating nihilistic types. She had been insane from the very beginning since she made her appearance in the series. Even a background made from the creator described her character being a clear sign of greed. Her hair was what he was so fond of too. The way they moved around, so life-like, and carried off their strange allure majestically and perfectly, better than the hero known as Radiance. Though, there had been fan-works he read that had her paired with Radiance more than the other characters, especially the one who was used for comedic relief. His name has no importance. He never founded a fic where she founded love or love founded her. No fic involving an OC. He knew OCs had a tough chance in being characterized as good since many had traits too stale, boring, horrible, or Pouenish from the fancy Mary-Poueny. It was difficult to make an OC that would attract ponies’ attention and pass on as good. He was a critic to others and himself, so experienced in this, he had to read carefully and truly understand the character and story before making any points at it. But he gave his feedback privately to the writers and not out in the public as most others do on the Ponynet. Though, his feedback came through the electronics than letters. Taking sheets of papers, an ink quill, and some energy drinks. He made sure everything was private and Cadence was gone. Entering into his private room, he sat down in front of his desk and began writing. Time did not matter to him at the moment as he focused his attention towards the words being sprung onto the white sheets of paper. When he made a mistake, he would usually scratch it and continue instead of crumbling up the paper. He was not like many authors that would rip up their papers or crumble it most of the time if something did not seem right. The writer took his time to read over his work and make another copy to see if it is better than that one or worse. Trial and error was a procedure Shining Armor went through in his own way over and over again until he came out with the perfect piece of writing. When it struck the final hour where Cadence was coming back home, he finished writing the last paragraph for his first chapter and stacked the completed sections on top of each other, setting them on top of a table near his potion shelf. Sighing in relaxation, the writer set down his dry quill on the table and tosses away his empty energy drinks into the trash bag, before picking it up and carrying out of the room, shutting the hidden door hard. A potion bottle fell to the side, popping out its cork, releasing a stream of purple liquid that touched the written sheets of paper. Suddenly, they began glowing brightly, causing the entire room to shake. Soon, the papers began floating into the air as more objects fell to the ground. They twirled, crumbled, and twisted in many strange forms until they began fused together behind the bright purple light that concealed their forms. When the room was done shaking, a massive green glob of hair fell to the ground, releasing a groan in pain. When the strange green glob’s of hair revealed to be actually tendrils of hairs, it revealed a purple mare with a slimmed body. She revealed her white teeth and smiled evilly as her bright emerald eyes with red small pupils in the center scanned the area she was in. She soon let off a maniacal laughter as her long, loose, strange mane began spreading out, covering most parts of the room, moving everywhere like octopus’ tentacles. Her tendril like hair soon grabbed the handle of the door and twisted it, but it suddenly came to a halt once they founded out the door was locked. The mare stopped laughing and glared angrily at the door. “You insolent fool think you can prevent, I, MaNE-IaC from getting out! I will show you like those pathetic weak Power-Ponies that I am not to be messed with!” She yelled turning her tendril like hair into a battering ram. “Know suffering!” She yelled swinging it into the stone surface. When the door was destroyed, it revealed a hallway on the other side, enlightening another evil laugh to escape her mouth. She moved out and looked left and right, seeing Shining Armor taking a right down the hall, she would expect him to be startled or at her sudden entrance, mostly making a hole in the wall that surely would catch anypony’s attention. But before he made his turn down another hallway that led towards the living room, she noticed he was wearing large headphones over his ears and humming out a chorus out loud, oblivious to what happened behind him. “I found you my dear husband!” She cooed, sneaking towards him, using her mane’s unique tendrils to support her in the air. “Every day is exactly the same…there is no love here, and there is no pain.” Shining Armor sung quietly as he sat down on the couch and turned on the TV in front of him. Looking for the remote, he looks left and right before finding the small device by his side. Clicking the on button and switching it to his favourite channel, Ponytoon Network, he smirked and took off his headphones. Shining Armor stared at the TV for a few seconds enjoying the show about some blue cat performing crazy antics with an orange fish, he decided to turn off his Tphone and set it to the side. He suddenly gasps once he felt a warm touch resting on top of his shoulders. He sighed in relief and shut his eyes once he felt soft kisses pecking his back neck and heading towards the side. A chuckle escaped his mouth once he felt the pecks begin to tickle him. “Sheesh, honey, I did not know you are so happy today that I am getting attacked by your lips. Were you poised from the beginning to strike this captain when he least expected?” He asked, licking his lips, enjoying the warm sensation from the gentle touches of the soft lips that pressed against the sensitive spots in his neck. “You bet, lover.” The stallion’s eyes jolted open as he scrambled off the couch escaping the mare’s clutches and fell to the ground. The stallion scurried back against the TV breathing heavily in horror as he stared at the mare before him. “W-w-w-w-w-w-what in tartarus, y-y-y-you are real!” He yelled. Mane-iac giggled and lowered herself over the couch and towards her trapped “husband”, licking his right cheek slowly before giving him her traditional maniacal smile. “Of course I am real, how’s my sweety doing from work? Has he been still helping those pesky Power Ponies again to the point they tired him out. Those ponies don’t understand a thing in how to handle a stallion.” She said staring into the petrified stallion before her. “They need to be gentle.” She said as one of her right tendrils caressed his right cheek. “And loving.” She puckered her lips, leaning towards his face, only to kiss the screen of his TV. She blinked twice in confusion before turning around spotting him crawling away from her. ‘How in the blazes did she get here, wait, how did she get in this world to begin with? She is a fictional character for Celestia sake!’ He was cut off from his thoughts when he felt a cold shadow hovering over him. Looking back slowly, he came face to face with Mane-iac where their noses were touching each other. “H-hi.” He muttered. “My dear, why are you frightened, have I really aroused your attentions towards my uniqueness?” She asked, leaning down to kiss him, until the sound of the door unlocking shifted her attention to the hallway. “CADENCE!” Shining Armor cried out in hope, but paused and froze in terror, “NO!” He yelled, crawling out from his trapped position and grabbing Mane-iac’s right hoof, rushing her through the back of their house. He scanned the area and was glad no passing folks of the neighborhood spotted him with the strange mare and her sultry attraction towards him. It would be too difficult to explain his position or perhaps the end of his entire life if it was too late to escape from this unpredictable circumstance. “My dear, where are you taking me? Somewhere private so that we may bask in our glow of love and perhaps…” She leaned close to his ear and whispered, “Make foals.” The stallion choked on his own spit; beginning to cough once he heard those last two words escape the evil mare’s mouth. Spotting the abandon factory up on the hills north from his home, the stallion did not answer the twisted mare and rushed her to the place. It took them twelve minutes to make it there and twelve minutes for Shining Armor to hear her endless seducing words he would say he remembered Cadence saying a lot to him whenever she was in the “mood.” “This place has been vacant for many years, yet I know somepony that puts most of his free time into fixing and cleaning the things here up. You’ll be staying here for now on.” He said, panting out of breath as he rested against a soda machine. They were inside of the empty manager’s room and had a good view of the flourishing neighborhoods that stood in Canterlot. Mane-iac admired the view, but deep down she was already making plans in ruling the city and perhaps the world. Suddenly, her ears perked up as her attention sprung back to Shining Armor after hearing him saying she would be staying in this place for now on. “What do you mean, dear? This place is going to be our home?!” She spat out in joy, laughing a bit before looking around excitingly. “I…y-yeah, let’s go with that.” He said smiling nervously. “H-how did you…come to this world?” “What do you mean lover?” She asked, grinning at him, “I was always here to begin with! I must make plans, those Power Ponies will know what’s coming once they fight against me and with you by my side, and they will surely understand true agony and despair and have no choice but to obey me and my every command. Or perhaps be eliminated, but then again, every villain needs their foe.” Shining Armor paused for a moment, feeling a sense of memories rush into his head. She acted just like her character from the comic book and even said the lines from his fic. His heart sank as his coat’s color grew paler. He nearly fainted before stumbling onto one of her tendrils that caught him. “Dear, you’ve been acting weird. Are you okay? Do you need rest?” Mane-iac asked, smiling madly at him as she carried him towards her. “N-no thank you…umm…dear? I am perfectly alright. I just need to get back to my place and get some things for you!” He panicked as she leaned close to him. “Are you sure?” She questioned breaths away from his lips. The stallion nods his head furiously and gets free from her gentle warm tendrils of hair, quickly walk-running to the door backwards. “Of course!” “Well, be back, my love! Your wife yearns for you, along with her babies.” She said, holding one of her tendrils of hair, licking the sides of him before stuffing her face into it. Shining Armor felt like his theory about her coming to existence in this world was slowly and slowly coming to life. Not wanting to stay in the room any longer, he quickly left her alone and rushed back home. After twelve minutes passing by, he returned into his home, breathing heavily out of breath. He came through the back and was relieved that Cadence was not around, but once he went straight towards his hidden room located in the hallway, he froze in place, staring at the very being that can snuff him out in the planet without a single thought of mercy. She was beautiful, magnificent, and wonderful in his eyes, but most of all…behind that was a mare he was afraid of and in love with—his wife. Standing next to the massive hole in the wall where all of his collections rested in, she was tapping her right hoof on the ground staring at him sternly, awaiting an explanation. “Dear, I can explain…well…I can’t…but I can try at least!” He panicked. “Go ahead, try, I want to know why there is a hole in our wall and a bunch of broken stuff in this room I never even knew existed.” Shining Armor cried on the inside. His hard work destroyed by the unknown was something he mentally felt sad about, but gladly not depress. Forming up an excuse, he played along with the hole in the wall as one of his magic spells gone wrong. “I sneezed!” He yelled causing Cadence to look at him confuse, startled a bit. “You…sneezed?” She questioned, tilting her heard, attempting to hear him out again. “Yeah, I did! I was going to levitate my Tphone and I ended up sneezing accidentally firing a spell into the wall!” He lied; feeling like this was the mad mare’s ploy to escape from her world and into here. “What about this room, I never knew this existed?” Cadence asked, causing Shining Armor to gulp. “It’s…it’s my quiet room. Somewhere I go to escape from the world and relax!” “So, this is where you usually go when you don’t feel like spending time with me?” She asked, narrowing her eyes. “N-n-no, never, Cadence! I swear! I only go there if I feel like releasing a lot of stress, you know how work is! Whenever you are around, I sometimes even go there to make plans that I want to be a surprise for you!” Cadence remained silent for a few minutes, causing the air to remain quiet. Shining Armor could only hear his heart beat rapidly as he waited for his wife’s next response. She clearly was not amused. Suddenly, Cadence sighed and shrugged her shoulders. “Look, it does not matter. You better clean up this mess.” She said, pointing her right hoof at him. Shining Armor nodded his head furiously with a nervous smile as sweat ran down his forehead. Cadence smiled softly and began walking, heading down the hall, before brushing her tail against his nose causing him to blush lightly and turn back to her. “And if you ever feel stressed out just ask me and I will settle you down in many ways than you can imagine.” Shining Armor nodded his head and smiled softly. “Y-yeah.” He said. When Cadence was out of sights, Shining Armor quickly entered into his room and searched for his written sheets of papers. He searched all over the shelves and used his magic to levitate all the broken heart-breaking items up into the air. Looking left and right, he started to panic; feeling like his entire theory was possibly coming to life into a hard cold fact. Taking a step back, he accidentally fell back onto his back and groaned in pain. “Dang it…ouch.” He muttered, getting up from the ground. Looking at the object he slipped on, his eyes grew wide as he picked up and stared at it in horror. “Shining, I’m sure you know a few spells to fix that wall, hurry up, you’re going to miss TAWOG!” Cadence yelled. Shining Armor shakes his head side by side and quickly tosses the empty bottle of potion into the trash can, before rubbing his temples. “This is crazy! Too crazy! She came to life…literally to life from the damn fic! She…she thinks I’m the main character and that she still is in her universe! I can’t let Cadence know this…or anypony at all! I have to keep her secret from everypony and find a way to bring her back to her world!” Quickly entering into the hallway, he turned back to the piles of broken hard work he made and cast a void spell sending them into another pocket-dimension. He soon cast a Terra-spell and fixed up the wall, before turning down the hallway and making it to the living room. ‘Alright, I will visit Mane-iac tomorrow, and try to use a spell that will bring her back to her world. While doing that, I will have to make sure Cadence does not get suspicious around me and most of all…I must have her be distracted with other stuff. Maybe make a false letter and have her fly to the Crystal Kingdom, giving me more time to handle that crazy mare in the factory.’ He planned quietly, as he sat down next to Cadence who giggled at the silly antics going on in the show. One problem though, that was pondering around in his head, was how Mane-iac was going to take it if she founded out he had a wife. She clearly looked convinced that he was her husband and to find out that Cadence was actually in his life, problems were going to surely occur. He loved both the mares, seeing them beautiful and perfect in many ways. But Mane-iac was fictional. She was not real, so how could he have deep feelings for her if he had Cadence in his life? The poor stallion felt trapped. As if he was an unlucky character in some love triangle written from the stand-point of view by some author outside of their universe. If that was true, he would not hesitate to beat him into a pulp, if it was her, he would surely have to be polite and ask for her to stop making his life even harder than it was. Shining Armor truly felt like his life was on the brink of extinction. -To Be Continued?- > Why Is My Life This Hard Now? > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Shining Armor's heart made slow beats that went along with the rhythm of his orchestrating fear. He moved towards his door, keeping cautious tabs on his steps. Sweat rolled down his forehead as the beats began to pace. Once he made it to the door, he paused and stared at the knob. He gulps his spit, and reaches out, but once he opened the door, his body froze in fear as he stared into the very being of death. "Shining, who is it?" Cadence asked, peeking out from her room, staring at her husband's back. Shining Armor's eyes bolted open as his body was drenched in sweat. It was only a nightmare and gladly, he awoke on 8 A.M. as it read on his beeping alarm clock. Shining Armor turned the clock off and sighed in relief, letting his mind settled. Today was perhaps going to be another day he might not make it out alive. The morning sun shined through Shining Armor’s blinds as he stay snuggled into Cadence’s coat. He slowly awoke from the warm rays and released a light yawn that brushed against the alicorn’s neck, causing her to giggle lightly from the ticklish air. Shining Armor nuzzled his face in her coat, earning a delightful groan, before releasing himself from her and hopping off the bed, stretching out for the day. “Today I have to visit the Crystal Kingdom’s library with Twilight, so you will have more alone time for yourself, okay?” Cadence asked, rolling on the other side of the bed, smiling softly at Shining Armor as he finished cracking his bones. “Yeah, but do you really have to go?” Shining asked, staring at Cadence disappointingly before sitting down on the ground. “Yes, dear, I do. It is important that Twilight and I figure out who would want an ancient scroll from the Starswirl vault. It wouldn’t make sense to steal it and sell it if nopony but that dead bearded wizard knows how to use it.” She said, before facing the ceiling. “Honestly, I don’t want to do this, but Aunty Celestia just had to put this assignment on my own flanks.” Shining Armor chuckles lightly from Cadence’s annoyed attitude that earned him a dangerous stare. He froze and rubbed his head trying to muster up the words to say in order to get him out of a possible predicament that would surely escalate downhill. “I agree with you, I don’t think you deserve such an assignment that has no quality to it.” He said quickly. “Quality?” “What I mean is,” he calmed down, “there are so many other ponies out there willing to hunt down some thief then sit around there house all day off from work. You don’t have to be one of the few if you forced into this even when you are clearly not interested in the job.” Cadence took a moment to think as her anger settled down, causing Shining Armor to sigh in relief from his quick save moment. “Nevertheless, dear,” she groaned, “I still have to do it. You know how Aunty Celestia is, she won’t take no for an answer.” Shining Armor shivered after remembering his time beside Celestia that Cadence never knew about, right before he joined the guard. ‘Why? Oh why would she make me dress up like a filly?’ His thoughts were soon brushed away after Cadence hopped out of the bed and quickly planted a kiss on the right side of his cheek. “I will be sure to keep you in contact, letters would be fine right?” She asked, heading towards the exit that led straight into the hallway. “S-sure, that would be fine.” Shining Armor said, resting his chin on the sheets, once Cadence soon exited the room. He heard her hooves clopping against the wooden floor heading down towards the kitchen on the opposite side of the hall. The stallion took a moment for himself to shut his eyes and release a long awaited sigh. That lasted till a few minutes after he felt soft tendrils wrapping around him. His eyes bolted open as his body escaped the strangling appendages that started to curl around him by his bed side. “Hello, my sexy stud,” the mad mare spoke in her typical sultry tone, “How sad, your friend down there does not seem to be so active again like he always is in the morning.” Mane-iac said after entering through the window, using her hair as leverages to provide her movement and height. The poor sap of a stallion began panicking right after he shut the door and locking it, before glaring back at the mad mare angrily. He started to soon calm down, before allowing realization to sink in what the situation was in front of him. “You broke into my house!” He shouted, “Why are you here, I left you in the factory for a reason?!!” “Dear, I did not break in; I simply just unlock the window and entered into your room…our…room.” She said, leaning down to him at eye level, “And I was very lonely in that factory.” She softly sung her syllables like canary bird’s melodious tune. “L-look, you can’t be here! I told you to stay in that factory!” He panicked, trying to push her back out the window, but her hair had the upper hand in the situation when it began holding onto the sides of the walls preventing the stallion from succeeding in his plans to rid of his guest/intruder/lover. She soon turned the tables for the unicorn in white, once her tendrils began circling around his hooves. They soon gripped them and flipped him upside down, face to face with the Lilith of his life. “And why can’t I be here with my lover, hmm? Is he planning to surprise me with something tasty and delightful?” She teased, licking the side of his right ear. He could not help but moan from this, and when he did, he shut his mouth quickly, biting the lower lip to ensure silence. “Ooo~, did you enjoy that?” She asked, but only to find her stallion getting out free from her hair-tendrils after they loosened up. He began backing away from her, terrified at her towering seductive physique along with the mad bi-polar mentality. “Look, get out! You’ve pick the wrong time to harass me!” “Oh, but why haven’t you call the police?” She questioned, lifting a brow in amusement once he froze in place. She caught him good. “It’s…it’s complicated!” He stated, but Mane-iac seen through his sweating mask and cracked it with ease, awaiting its plummeting so that she may see the pieces shatter and allow a soothing tinging noise to echo in the air. She eventually leaned down, allowing her hooves to settle into the carpet beneath them and slowly—with a predator grin, began trotting towards the stallion. Each step, caused him to back away in terror, sweating furiously from the sick glare she gave. He stared into the face of horror, coated with lust and greed, along with a carnal intention to return to their ancestral instincts; he was staring at a rabid animal in heat who targeted him to be her mate. When the world paused, and life became a victim to the cliffhanging man holding for dear life to a branch, and all Mane-iac had to do was corner him; being breaths away from his lips as her expression became bedroom eyes, laced along with her sweet odor coming off her hair. It was alluring, he could not deny that fact, for it was pushing him closer to her, but his mind had the leash in hand and pulled him back, trying to save him from destroying his marriage and falling into the succubus’ embrace. “Shining, I’ve made you lunch and left you some bits on the table just in case you get hungry and want to order out. I also just found out it was Hearts and Hooves day, so consider this your gift, you can return me mine when I return, sweety!” Cadence’s voice echoed down the hall and was heard from the room. Mane-iac pauses, once her expression turned into anger. The stallion gulped remembering that marish look all too well. It was not just from Cadence, but also from his mother. His dad was a handsome stallion that was very considered eye candy to all the mares in Canterlot, while his mom was the most feared. She was a protective woman while his father was a loyal husband and great father. However, whenever a mare passes by, sometimes a stallion to make it a bit spicier, she gave him that angry look; the look of jealousy, anger, and possibly betrayal as if he looked back at them and smile when all he was doing was just walking ahead talking about whatever came to his mind. Luckily, he was good in bed from the way he heard through his room once they settled their differences in who can make each other bust first and better than the other. His parents…were a strange couple. “Who is that, dear?” Mane-iac questioned, her tone growing grim as she slowly made her way to the door. Shining Armor acted out quickly, rushing in front of the mare’s path just as he had to hide his stash of Playcolt magazines from Cadence—sadly, eventually discovered a day later—and shook his head left and right. “T-that’s my wife! She does not know you exist in this world!” Shining Armor said, giving Mane-iac a nervous smile. “What are you saying; I existed here for a long time with you. Wait…wife…you married a mare and had been sleeping with her behind my back the entire time, I should strangle you!” She growled, beginning to grow furious by the second as her hair-tendrils slither around the room, slowly their making their way towards the doomed stallion. They were twitching madly after feeling their owner’s anger course through them. And when Shining Armor noticed their change of reaction from being touchy to being violent, his brain sank into another pit of realization that those tendrils of hair…They. Were. ALIVE! The captain of the royal guard had to act fast, struggling to find a way to make sure this mare would not kill him or blow his cover that would bring him standing up at the gallows. With a steady sigh, he looked at her and began pleading to her by falling onto his haunches and raising his hooves in praying manner. “Please, just, just don’t hurt her! We’ve been married way before I met you and I was going through a love-struggle and you managed to take my heart making me feel like a better stallion!” He lied through his cold hard teeth, shedding crocodile tears in front of her. Mane-iac pauses for a second before looking down at him. Her expression was clearly written in being shocked. This caught her well, and gave the stallion a bit of hope he might make it out alive on the next day. “I-is that true?” She asked, sitting down on the carpet, pressing her right hoof against her heart, as if something warm coated her with happiness and love. That was enough to provide Shining Armor time to escape from the dazed mare and exit his room. ‘Come on, just leave Cadence! Just LEAVE!’ Once he made it to the kitchen, Cadence was not around, causing silence to enfold within the house. Honestly, it felt good to him. The silence was very comforting and provided a nice soothing allure to its surroundings as he finally sat down on the floor and smiled softly. Times like this and he would be trapped in his room typing down some fictional story. He chuckled at that thought, seeing how it would be nice to write about his entire life slowly coming to an end from the very mare herself that emerged from whatever realm and into his, delusion and probably always in heat, seeing him as her husband. Why was she so lewd? Shining Armor thought about for a minute as he tried to piece back about Mane-iac’s coming to his world. He never made her to be so tempting, sultry, and elusive when it came down to the innuendos. His thoughts came to a sudden end once he felt warm tendrils wrap around his chest, squeezing him tightly before forcing him back against tight slick leather that was hotter on the outside, but probably unbelievably hot on the inside. The stallion could feel death hovering over him like the time him and Sombra one on one fought, but instead of feeling the cold gripping darkness of those miasmic clouds the stallion carried, this stranger’s carried only warmth. He breathed out a sigh of relief, before feeling his eyes slowly drift down so that sleep could take over his conscious and bring him to its soothing reposed state. But his eyes shot open after realizing that this warmth belonged to the crazy mare staring down at him with her traditional seductive. ‘Is she always like this?’ He quickly shook his head, before breaking free from the tendrils’ light grip. He backed away to the backdoor breathing heavily as he stared at the mare in horror. She nearly had him in her hold and was prepare to do whatever dark pleasure pent up in her head. “I was very enlightened to hear those loving words. Here I thought you were cheating on me because you were either a pig or pathetic slob with no interests in mares like me, but I guess I was wrong.” She said slowly making her way towards him. Shining Armor could have just ran out of the house right at the spot since he was pressed up against the exit leading into the backyard, but that would have been a bad idea. Today was Tuesday, one of the busiest days on the street in Canterlot, meaning, a no go for him to ever bother going outside. Ponies would definitely see a tall mare using her own mane to walk while chuckling every second. He decided to take this like a stallion and step up to his own possible mistake. “You can stay here, but when it hits night time, I am taking you back to the factory. I can’t have you living here since Cadence might find you and kill me. I don’t want this to escalate any further down than it is.” He said, only to be tangled her wild mane. Just what made them so alive and how did she even get her mane to be like this to begin with? Shining Armor shook his head before finding her face pressed straight into her neck, being squeezed and suffocated to death. Shining Armor’s hooves presses against her chest, struggling to break free from her bear hug, but fails once her tendrils tightened around him, assisted by her slim forelegs. He could feel her breath breathing down his neck, brushing against his sweating mane. “Oh my sweet dear, you are so romantic. It’s like you’re trap in a devastating love triangle. I wonder though, is this Cadence good in bed?” That question froze him in place, causing a massive blush to appear on his furry cheeks. “Does she give you good massages like momma does?” She questioned, rubbing her hooves smoothly against his back. More sweat began pouring down the stallion’s head as if he felt his body’s lust being tested by the slender crazy mare. But everything returned into an awkward pause once the backdoor’s doorbell rang. Mane-iac turned her head to it, loosening her hold on Shining Armor. He was capable of slipping under her legs and crawled towards the door. He peeked through the blinds and spotted another problem in his flanks that made matters pretty worse. “Alright, I need you to hide!” He whispered, turning to her while pressing his back against the frame of the door. Mane-iac only grinned lightly and leaned down towards him, using her hair to provide her stomach leverage to be in the air. Resting her forelegs under her chin and licking her sharp fangs, the crazy mare giggled lightly at her lover’s nervous expression. “Are we going to play hide and seek?” She asked. He pauses for a few seconds before shaking his head furiously with a small smile. “You hide and I will seek.” “Are you going to answer my questions about this Cadence when you find me?” She asked. “Y-yeah, sure, whatever, j-just hide!” He said. Mane-iac rubbed her chin, before licking her soft lips with her slick tongue. “Alright~, but you have to be good when you do this, love. Once you find me, maybe we can at least experiment with what you and Cadence done together.” She said, beginning to walk away into the hall, using her hair tendrils. When she was out of sight and sound, the unicorn quickly unlocked the top half of the door and opened it halfway, peeking out. “Flash, what are you doing here?” Shining Armor questioned in an angry tone, glaring at the orange pegasus with burning eyes. The pegasus was taken back, surprised from his best friend’s reaction. He eventually smirked, brushing off the glare as if it was some kind of joke and chuckled lightly before explaining his presence before his best friend. “Just asking if you saw Twilight by any chance?” “W-what, n-no, she’s probably with Cadence; she said that they had an assignment to do together order from Celestia.” He stated. “O-oh, well damn it. I was hoping to give her this,” Flash pulled out a sparkling necklace with a unique glinting pearl attached to it. Shining Armor could not help but admire the alluring accessory that glinted from the sun’s sparkling rays. “T-that looks pretty nice.” The captain of the guard muttered under his breath. “I know right,” Flash said, “I think Twilight will probably love it when I get a chance to show her it.” Shining Armor shook his head before looking around seeing ponies walking by the streets. He hated the fact his house’s front and backyard faced two streets, he made a mental note to buy wooden fences when the time arises, but for now he had to focus on getting rid of Flash. “Look, Flash, I don’t know when my wife and sister will be back, but I don’t have time to chat.” He said. “Really, I was also hoping we hang out since we are on vacation…for now.” He added in the last part with relief. “Probably catch the arcades or visit some Sports center.” “Now Flash, you know I am not a sports kind of stallion, I prefer video games, manga, and anime.” Shining Armor stated. “Sheesh, you’re such a shut-in otaku!” “Hey, I’m not a shut in!” Shining Armor clarified, but Flash shrugged it off. “Look, dude, do you want to go to the Gaming Convention at least?” Flash asked. “Why, so you can try taking flank and pantie shots on all the cosplayers?” He questioned, his tone becoming flat while staring at the pegasus with an unamused expression. Flash’s cheeks flushed with embarrassment, before rubbing the back of his head. “Hey now, if Twilight can snap shots at coltcuddler couples, and make fanfics out of that, while also trying to get us drunk and do it, I see it that it is an eye for an eye if I can just simply take those shots for “research”.” “Okay…one: That was only once that we kissed while being drunk, thank Celestia the higher captains didn’t caught us on that act or we would have that poor sinful Trotflic church and crap on us, “Dude they hate everything, “Let’s not make any assumptions on things that are too obvious.” Shining Armor cut him off, “Now, two: Twilight loves the taboo as much as Cadence does, it’s a thing I think they got into once they started merging with the crazy yaoi fanatics out there, next to the yuri ones.” “I see where you are going.” Flash said, nodding his head for confirmation. “And three: research…really? Dude, you have some strange issues with my sister that I am glad aren’t violent, but I think should be kept very private behind doors or the bedroom. Look, keep that between you two and not me.” “Alright, alright, dude, I get it! Keep my activities, especially Twilight’s, in-doors. So, you still wanna hang out?” Flash asked, tucking Twilight’s gift under his right wing. Shining Armor had to think for a bit before looking back at the hallway. Somewhere, just somewhere in those narrow depths, he could sense the daemonic embodiment of Lilith. He could have sworn he heard soft giggles and his name being called. Turning back to Flash, he prepared to answer him, but was struck dead in silence once he heard a loud giggle in the background, catching his friend’s attention. “Is somepony in there?” Flash asked. “W-what, no, of course not,” He shouted quickly, “just the television being loud and all! I’m just watching some Power Ponies.” “Dude, seriously…they made a show out of that comic series?” Flash asked becoming unamused. “Yeah~” He said smiling nervously. Flash sighs and says, “Hey, look, I don’t know everything you’re into. Honestly, I was raised on Video games and sports; I have no knowledge of the outside world. I will leave you to your thing, but if you ever get bored…hit me up, ‘kay?” The pegasus asked. Shining Armor nodded his head, wiping the sweat rolling on his forehead off. “Yeah, I’ll keep you in ‘tact. Now see you later, Flash.” “See ya, bro. I’m going to buy a game and hit up any roleplayers on poniroleplay.” He said with a delightful grin, before turning around and trotting away. When Flash was out of sight, he shut the door and locked it. Shining Armor released a sigh before turning to the hallway. He shook his head lightly before trotting into the embedding darkness where his demon waited for his bulk otaku body. Further and further, the darkness grew harder to see. Whatever made it so dark, was a mystery to him since he could have sworn there were two light bulbs—new and bright—on in the hallway. Then, he stopped and heard that terrifying giggle vibrating against his ears as the echoplex became wide and strong. He froze and slowly looked down seeing the pitch black floor begin to move. Once he saw that, he stared up at the ceiling and saw a speck of the light bulb uncover from whatever masses of darkness that confined it, shining bright. Then, hooves wrapped around his neck, before hot air touched against his neck, sending shivers down his back. “You found me…lover.” Mane-iac whispered. “Y-your hair…it…it literally covered the entire hallway?” He muttered in shock, watching the dark tendrils turn green after allowing the two light bulbs to shine brightly down on everything. “Neat trick I learned from watching this old movie called Aliens. The way they use their bodies for camouflage was very unique. So, I mimicked it and it helped me pretty well in my life. I can so easily get into banks without breaking a sweat.” “That’s…pretty scary…and cool.” He admitted, breaking free from her light grip and glaring at her nervously. “So, it’s my turn to find you.” “Umm, let’s not play right now, okay?” He stated. “W-what, but why?” She asked, becoming disappointed and confused. “I have to figure out how you got into this world and how am I going to keep you hidden.” He said, sighing in annoyance. “All of this is really too much for me to handle, but I am not the pony to easily give up.” “Dear, you are confusing me. I’ve always been here, beside you for a very long time. Hiding me just feels like you are trying to get away from me.” She said, frowning at him. The stallion felt a bit bad, but cursed those guilty feelings for existing in the first place. He actually wanted to get rid of her. If she stood here in this world any longer, she would surely to be dis-covered. “It’s not like that,” he lied, “it’s just I don’t want any of us getting in trouble, especially from Cadence and the police. Trust me, “dear”, you don’t even want Princess Celestia on us or…for my sake, we’ll be sent off into the sun or moon, and Celestia forbid Pluto. Nopony likes Pluto, seriously!” Mane-iac thought for a moment before nodding her head softly. “I understand than, my lover. I shall keep low, but I don’t want that Cadence taking you all for her own self.” She said, glaring at him sternly. “Noted.” He stated quickly, becoming frightened by her stern stare. “Good, now do you mind telling me…what’s your sex like with her? > Life can be such a damn... > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The heart rang rapidly as sweat began to form in beads, sliding down the white forehead of the captain. As his heart raced and only the sheets of the shadows from which the hallway light gave off its dimmed illuminated rays of light, he kept his mouth shut, his breathing slow, and his dilated eyes forward to whatever terror resided on the other side. Then that cackling laughter pitched with a high feminine tone of a hearty laughter echoed in the hallway, bouncing back and forth upon the walls. He could feel that cold presence that made slithering sounds as if it was pushing through muddy waters within a swamp. Then that lingering scent of sweet strawberry with a sewn of vanilla made its way up his nostrils as if calling out to him. The captain knew well what resided out there, what tell-tale horrors that promised an absolute end to all of life. The sickening twist of abhor obscurity; which became the absurd abnormality to which he could not find himself growing out of. The presence of this maniacal horror approached closely, making each movement sound closer, disturbing, and downright grotesque. When he gulped, he nearly jumped back against the wall when a large shadow went against the small sides of the door, blocking out the light and enshrouding him in complete darkness. He didn't move, breathe, or thought of any skill at all that would probably blow his cover and doom him to the fate under whatever madness was behind that door. His eyes shook in terror as he prayed in his head to Celestia this would only be a nightmare all from the horror games he played. Soon, that chuckle returned with a cruel scoff before the dark form behind the door that shielded the hallway light moved away, returning the stallion his light. Everything was quiet now, and only the gasp for air was, made quietly by the stallion before he panted. Five minutes was what he gave himself before he made a slow move towards the door and opened it. Introduced by the light upon the ceiling, the captain exited carefully with hesitant steps and looked left and right. There was the exit leading outside and to the right was the split in the hallway leading to the bedrooms and bathroom along with the kitchen and living room. All felt safe, quiet, and clear. However, his heart instantly paused for two seconds after a soft appendage lowered down to caress his right cheek. He slowly looked up, taking a big gulp of spit and gazed before his predator. The eyes of a beast was upon him and he was too scared to do anything about it. And when the predator spoke, lowering its daemonic form from the ceiling it hung on with its slick appendages, its tone was sultry, devious, and had a honey touch of an ominous premonition to an unsettling event. "Seems like the lovely prince has wandered into the temptress' web, how maddening could this be! For it looks like you're trap!" Her voice bellow with another chuckle that soon burst into a loud laughter. The stallion had no time to back away from her appendages as they were no there than her long, slick, smooth, green locks of her alive mane. Fast as a snake, they swept him up and against her tight purple suit where her scent was different, this time being a salty pinch of water. He was eye to eye with the crazy mare who pencil shot green eyes and twisted grin was plastered in front of him. "Shit." He muttered before she puckered her lips and leaned down, that until the bell rang from the door catching her off guard. Fast and quick to act, he broke loose from her grip and landed down on the ground with a rough roll. It caused some pain to affect him, but he did not hesitate to run towards the door. "Lover!" Her voice called out, sounding both excited and venomous. But he did not stop running to the door. When he came close to the door, he used his magic to twist the knob and open the door, but only a crack. He peeked with a nervous to terrified expression as if hoping this wouldn't be the end of his very life. "H-hello." He greeted, but soon gasped before the pony before him. "It's been a while, Sir Armor, have you fallen before me already, even if I only came to visit." Spoke the devious mare before the mouth-dropped stallion. Her white coat and slim body, matching with her neatly combed mane and braided tail that, both were baby blue, gave off a soft to vibrant glow. But Shining saw through the mare with ease just by gazing at her eyes. Those orbs were not even capable of being forgotten. "Chrysalis!" He shouted almost in horror before falling back choking on the terror of the air. The door was pushed open completely as the changeling in disguise entered with a soft chuckle. "You shouldn't be surprise to see me since I called you I was coming by to chat." She stated, leaning her head down to him with a sardonic grin, "Unless you just decided to give me a show of praise?" She asked. "Like hell!" He shouted rising to his four. "Look, just because you were absolved by Celestia for whatever half-flanked reason, doesn't give you any rights to pester yourself into my damn life!" He stated only to freeze in terror at the rising dark figure behind Chrysalis. "Oh hush you, I love messing with you and Cadence, by the way where is she? Shining? What's with you and that look, weren't you taught to not give pretty mares funny looks, it can stick to you forever and it's impolite!" She stated in an annoyed tone, but her body became tense and her eyes shrunk once she felt a cold brush against her side. Quickly turning around, she was face to face with the maniacal mare that was grinning from ear to ear while her nose was pressed against hers. "Hello." Mane-iac greeted calmly. "Holy me!" Chrysalis shouted stumbling back as she looked at the monstrous mane that slithered and remained attached to the ceiling, leveling the mare in the air. "My life is over!" Shining Armor groaned rubbing his temple as Mane-iac began laughing at the changeling’s display of startled fear. "Who is this?!" Chrysalis shouted. "I am Mane-iac! The terror of Maretropolis! The, “Okay, Shining Armor, you have a lot of explaining to do!” Chrysalis interrupted the mad mare’s introduction causing Mane-iac to pout with a twitching left brow. “What?! No I don’t!” Shining shouted, looking at her annoyed. “Oh you do, Sir!” She stated with a strong stomp on the wooden floor. Shining flinched from the hard sound of the wood being stomped on by both of her hooves. “Alright, sheesh, after that, you got to get out of here as I try to figure out how I am going to handle her.” Shining Armor stated, rubbing his temple again in annoyance. “Oh, lover, you can handle me roughly if you like!” Mane-iac said in a teasing tone, leaning against Armor as she hung upside down with her mane supporting her. “And may you explain to me who this mare is?” “I am Queen, “used to be queen,” Shining interjected. “I am Chrysalis, former queen of the proud species known as Changelings.” She stated giving Shining Armor an annoyed glare while he stuck his tongue out at her. “And I am trying to figure out what a mare like you is and doing here in this pathetic of a husband’s home.” “Excuse me?” Shining asked, glaring angrily at her. “You heard me, you’re too much of a nerd to be a proper husband who works hard and knows what he’s doing most of the time. Plus, quite improper too.” Chrysalis said in a calm tone. “Nerd, my husband is no nerd but a genius!” Mane-iac stated in a proud tone. “You’re not helping!” Shining shouted at Mane-iac as his cheeks became flustered. “Genius, ha!” She scoffed. “He’s a genius at not being adequate and knowing a good place to take a mare out to dinner. I’m surprise I had actually consider him proper of a meal when I was a ruler of my kind. That stallion is too up in his world that’s busy being fantasy like, while I’m stuck in the real world struggling to maintain a house and a balanced check. He should get that head out of the clouds before it’s too late. Did you know he collects these cards call Coltblade?” “Hey, don’t you dare talk about them. They are old and vintage! Flash and I freakin’ love them!” Shining yelled. “What is that?” Mane-iac asked, becoming confused and interested upon the subject as Shining only hope it would end sooner. “Well it’s a card game based on these table top spinners and such. I think it’s quite stupid and pointless since it is derived off of some show ponies waste their lives in. Shining here spends bits upon bits for these cards and all he does is play with Flash Sentry. Such an anti-social stallion that supposedly fits being a captain of the guard.” Chrysalis said, smirking at Shining Armor. “Celestia…I hate you.” He groaned. “And I love you.” She puckered her lips only to find a thick mane pressed against her lips. Shining froze along with Chrysalis as Mane-iac gave a grim grin down at her. “You can’t love him…he’s my lover.” Her voice was venomous, as those dark orbs burn into the changeling’s skull. When the mane moved away, Chrysalis remained silent, frozen in fear as she continued looking up at Mane-iac. A bad feeling made its way up Shining’s back almost like a chill. He gulped and felt the need to ask if she was alright, but before he opened his mouth, he shut it hard and tight when the Changeling glared angrily and confused at him. “D-did I hear that right?! LOVER!” She shouted. “H-hey!? I’m sure she mentioned something like that before, what, did you think it went through your ears like nothing?” He yelled, “Plus, it’s not what you think. Where this mare is coming from, it’s very complicated. Something I rather not explain!” “Oh-ho-hoo! You might have to, or I’m telling Cadence!” She yelled causing Shining’s heart to drop dead. “O-oh come on!” He cried out. “You’re not right?” “I might, if I get something out of this!” She said with a laugh. “Who is this Cadence?” Mane-iac asked, lifting a brow. “Don’t worry about it, for now! I got to get you back to the factory! You shouldn’t be here, especially around this damn bug!” Shining said, trying to push Mane-iac towards the exit out the house. However, he was having trouble due to her mane being dragged along and soon gripping some of the base boards. “I am no bug, you miserable pest. Look, I’ll shut my mouth if you do as I say.” Chrysalis said with a dark cold grin. “Like hell! I know your damn tricks, not gonna work on me again.” He stated using his shoulder and applying as much force as he can to push out the pouting latex suit wearing mare. “Then I guess I should just tell Cadence, that you’re, “Okay! Okay! But not now, alright! I already have enough trouble as it is!” Shining interrupted her with a defeated sigh. “Ha! And who said blackmailing couldn’t be easy!” Chrysalis laughed. “Says the mare that enjoys old flicks and stupid movies on romance, and did I mention soap operas that I hear Rarity and you watch.” Shining said, glaring at her as sweat began to form upon his brow. Mane-iac was becoming extremely difficult to him, on purpose. “Hey, we enjoy those pieces of fine media thank you very much! You’re all into that stupid comic book nonsense and manga! Since I took Cadence’s form, all you do was say how much you love that sort of stuff! Especially when I found your hentai stuff!” Shining Armor nearly slip and slam his chin onto the ground once she said that, causing Mane-iac to fly out. But as she flew out, he could have sworn he heard her yelling, “Weeeeeeeee,” in a joyful tone almost like a child. He looked back at her with red cheeks and gritted his teeth. “You’re really a pain in my ass, you know that!?” He shouted. “Heh, says the one that knows how to use his mouth.” She teased. “Look, help me get Mane-iac to the factory.” He groaned. “And I can do whatever I have to do to keep your mouth shut, okay?” Chrysalis tapped her chin before shrugging her shoulders. “I see no reason in not helping your sorry-for-an-excuse ass.” She stated calmly, trotting past him with a brush of her tail against his chin. “You’re annoying.” He groaned as he followed her by the side. “And you’re beautiful.” She countered, only to pause and look around. At the moment, they were outside in the backyard and for some reason, Mane-iac was nowhere to be found. “I think…she’s gone.” “…” “Shining?” Chrysalis glanced at him only to see a frozen stare, gazing straight at the city of Canterlot. “I think I know where she went. When she sees a city…she sees a playground of…” He paused and gulp. “Of what?” Chrysalis asked becoming worried. “Destruction.” He finished, narrowing his eyes. “Do you have to overly dramatize everything?” She questioned in a deadpanned expression. “This is why I can never get along with you.” He groaned, facehoofing. “Looks like you got to go get her before ponies freak out and questions arises. You know how the princesses are.” Chrysalis laughed. “Oh, I’m not getting her…we are.” He glared. -To Be Continued- > Chapter is coming soon, just a load of problems with RL I need to write other stories to escape from. > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- A new chapter will come soon, darlings, just busy with RL and stuck in writer's block.
