Things happen. Nothing happens in between these things. If they did, they'd simply be things with more nothing between 'em. So how do you measure the nothing? Two ponies, equally flawed, intend to find out together... no matter how far it takes them.

This is the story that won first place in /fic/'s eighteenth write-off competition. The original story--here, split into three chapters--was written and edited over a period of just seventy two hours. I intend to add additional chapters whenever the fit comes upon me. Every culture has its own myths and stories, its heroes and monsters. Enter the Buffalo Legends, where mighty heroes like Broad Hoof, Quick Star, and Clever Horns perform feats of daring and courage, where tricksters like Star Dog wreak havoc and cause mischief, and where the Spirits of old come to life once again. These stories, told by an unnamed buffalo elder, have been passed down since time immemorial, and now they are being passed down to you.

Each chapter is a separate, mostly stand-alone fable. Unless stated in the Author's Note as adaptions of existing legends (and this won't happen very often), all chapters are original.

Seventeen years have passed since the day of Sunshine and Rainbows, and the New Canterlot Republic is stronger than ever. But with success comes greed and ambition, the various factions within the Republic jostling for the right to decide the future of this new civilization. Now their ambitions drive them to gain control of one of the most ambitious projects yet faced by the NCR, a project two hundred years in the making... peace with the Zebra Empire.

Welcome everybody, my name's Markiplier and this is a short story about one of the worst days of my life. I had to spend twenty-four hours in a world of multicolored ponies and try to survive this chaotic world within the allotted time. Fans, they are many, they are awesome, but sometimes... they're not from our lovely little rock called,"Earth."

Joyous Blossom, the unicorn daughter of Sweetie Belle, is spared from death by Princess Celestia, and is instead given therapy to deal with her problems. What they don't know is that she is far beyond therapy, and she becomes more dangerous than anypony thought possible.

Now it is a race to prevent her from becoming her aunt, a task that is no easy feat. For Blossom is literally built to be the deadliest serial killer that Equestria has ever known.
