Equestria. It is the finest country of them all, where ponies live in peace an harmony. What Ponies don't know is why. It's easy. In the shadows of Equestria is the Reaper Organization operating, lead by Death. This organization is responsible for keeping the world free of danger, to prevent ponies from getting harmed.

This story follows the four reapers, Horror Movie, Darth Star, Blue Thunder and Miasmic Fog as they stand up against the evil forces that lurks in the shadows, threatening the safety of the villagers of Equestria. But even their powers might not be enough...

These are short stories based in the same universe as my most popular fanfic, Chains. If you haven't read Chains before, I suggest looking into it as you maybe lost if you are not familiar with that story and its universe.

Chains

To elaborate on what these are, they are stories that will either be Canon, or Non-Canon with the Chains storyline, either way, they are not going to be particularly important to it either. They're just fun little ideas I have pop in my head.

When I post a new chapter, I'll have it in the Author's Notes as to whether or not it should be considered Canon, or not.

A/N: This is based on the Koala patches of the indie game Starbound. The game has since seen a full release and things have changed. These changes will be nodded to, but otherwise do not appear in the story.

Princess Twilight Sparkle is given the honor of being the first pony on all of Equus to engage in interstellar travel. Her mission: to explore unknown space, discover new planets, find new life, boldly go where nopony has gone before, and report back her findings five years in the future.

Things go wrong during her flight, and she soon finds herself stranded above a planet many worlds away from her home, with no fuel and dwindling power. If she wants to survive, she has to gather resources from the planet below. She slowly starts to develop her survival skills, but along the way, she encounters a friend who can help.

Jack Thomas, a "human" from a planet called "Earth," happens to be exploring space as well, and he seems to have a head start in figuring out where exactly she's at. Together, the two of them set out to find a way to return Twilight to her home.

There was only one explanation. For all of it. All of the strange, erratic behavior. Her irrational fear of the sun. Her nocturnal habits of locking herself in in the dark and closing all the blinds. Wearing her sunglasses everywhere, even inside! It was time to invest in some silver, garlic, and a wooden stake.

Necromancers. Sickly ponies bathed in cloaks of darkness, bringing ruin to all who fall under their shadow, terror to those who meet their gaze. Ripping the dead from the grave and conscripting them to their army of evil and conquest. Woe to the towns that dare draw their interest.

Such are the legends.

This is a story about one of the kindest ponies I know.

Hugs, heartbreak, and humor will follow in droves.
