It is the summer of 2020. The popular TV show "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" has finished its eighth, and what appears to be final, season. In the wake of increasingly violent attacks by an extremist Internet-based terrorist group, the founders of the popular pony site, Equestria Daily, decide enough is enough. Bronies from all over the world have gathered in a small, abandoned industrial park in the run-down outskirts of Chicago to find the culmination of their dreams: Equestria. Through the wonders of science, they flee Earth for a land of magic, mystery and secrets. They will be weighed, they will be measured... will they be found wanting or will their dreams come true?

Due to a typo on her permit to build a new barn, and the meddling of a recalcitrant bureaucrat, Applejack is stuck running a bar, at least until Mayor Mare gets back to town. So sit down and have a drink in Ponyville's least likely watering hole!

It seemed like it was going to be a perfect morning for Twilight, until she realized she had woken up with Rarity and Rainbow Dash, tenderly cuddling next to her on the bed. Just what the hay happened last night? And why do they keep calling Twilight 'mistress'?

While helping Twilight rearrange her lab, Spike comes across a magical powder that changes him into a pony! While Twilight tries to find an antidote, pony Spike has some adventures of his own.

(Originally posted (part 1, at least) to EqD in May 2011. I'd run across a ponified Spike picture and suddenly got an urge to write it. Another story that I tried to make seem like a viable episode)

NOTE: This story takes place in the same continuity as Appleshy, Sparkle Kitten, Trixie's Great and Powerful Revenge, and Tragic Magic. It takes place chronologically after all of those except Tragic Magic. The other stories are not required reading to fully enjoy this story (though feel free to read them anyway!), but there are one or two elements that call back to Sparkle Kitten in particular.

Princess Celestia will at last get a taste of Twilight Sparkle. No, not in that way! The whole Elemental Harmony Squad is involved... no, still not in that way!

Popsicles will be prominently involved... and again, not in a naughty way. The only naughty pony here is Luna.

Sweet Apple Acres had always been filled with secrets, even during its inception almost a hundred years ago. Apple Bloom had heard the tales passed down to her from Granny Smith, but never thought anything of them. At least not before the screams near the barn began to ring out through the night. When the Cutie Mark Crusaders stay over at the farm for one weekend in autumn, old stories and legends begin to boil back up to the surface.

Applejack had always warned Apple Bloom to stay away from the barn at night.

Twilight always thought that being able to send the Princess her letters instantaneously through Spike's fire breath was the best thing in the world. Instant correspondence with her mentor and secret crush could never be a bad thing, right? Unfortunately, Twilight has a habit of writing her secrets down on flammable materials. Now her secret's out, so what's a panicky unicorn to do? Panic, obviously!

Both warriors know and practice the virtues of living men, but one knows the truth, and the other is clouded by lies. Would one know the truth and fight good people to save lives, or be blinded by divine intervention with assurance of their deeds? As many answers as there are questions, one can assume the worst in this land of corruption. Because they pirate what little they can to stand for what they believe. They are pirates of virtue.
