A dragon suddenly takes up residence near Ponyville. Cirrus Cloud, an ordinary pegasus living in Ponyville who has trouble making friends, ends up meeting it through a strange series of events.
It turns out the dragon is mute, and somehow, Cirrus Cloud manages to befriend it. But how does one be friends with a mute dragon?
Life is hard to deal with. Whether the problems are internal, or external, it's never easy. Finding a good outlet for your problems is a good way to reduce the stress of life, but when the outlet is another pony, with problems of her own, you may find your own problems taking an unwarranted backseat to theirs.
You find yourself in Ponyville, with no recollection of who you were, and who you are. Making that discovery is just the first step, though.

My name is Frosty Winds. I was just your typical, rank-and-file Enclave scout. I had an ordinary life, living in contentment among my loving family and good friends. Things were good.
At least, I'm pretty sure that was the case; I honestly can't say for certain anymore. One moment, I was being recruited to take part in a routine Wasteland scouting mission, and the next moment I wake up as a prisoner of the Steel Rangers.
On the bright side, I’m not missing much. Just all of my memories. And my left foreleg. Nothing important, really. Pile on a disease I’m not vaccinated against and being a few clouds short of a weather system probably doesn’t make any of this much better.
As if that wasn't enough, apparently I made a deal before I lost my memories. If I don't complete my task I agreed to within a month, I'll die. Of course, it would be helpful if I could remember what the agreement was.
So here I am, floundering aimlessly about the Equestrian Wasteland. I have absolutely no idea what happened, what I should do, or how to uncover the secrets that lie within my stolen memories.
Help. I need an adult.

In the year 2148, Earth Ponies discovered they were not alone in the universe.
Discovering an ancient cache of technology belonging to an extinct race identified only as the Alicorn, the Earth Ponies soared to new heights of technological advancement. With their newfound strength, they searched the galaxy for more hidden treasures of the Alicorn empire, soon discovering the existence of other space-faring races that shared their lust for progress and knowledge.
But when their fevered searching unearths ghosts that were better left buried, and mysteries better left unsolved, the Equestrian Galaxy is besieged by an ancient foe bent on nothing than the total destruction of life. Only one group of friends, led by a single Earth Pony soldier, can stop the coming darkness, all the while trying to answer the great question at the center of it all; what happened to the Alicorn Civilization and the Equestria that was?
Caramel can't seem to do anything right. When he finds he has a crush on a certain purple unicorn, this proves doubly true.

But, when her secret does come out, their reactions might surprise her.
