For months now, Ponyville Schoolhouse has enjoyed peace and harmony, but such tranquility can never last. When she's not listening attentively in class, taking a test, or doing her homework, she becomes the baddest of the bad. It falls to Miss Cheerilee to set the filly back on the straight and narrow before it's too late, at least according to Dinky herself.

I will respect canon, but we are also changing a core fact, and its effects will ripple outward. Our beloved ponies will be changed, as they must. The stream of fate carries them on tides we never witnessed before.

Twilight, Applejack, I hope you're both ready. Come, the water's fine, and I invite you to swim with me. Let us see what would happen if Applejack's mother survived where fate had once demanded her end.

Shady Fortune is an ambitious stallion. The old manor outside of town is an ancient eyesore. Where most ponies would see a tear-down job long-gone undone, Shady instead sees potential and beauty in the decrepit old house.

But he's not the only thing living in Buckwheat Manor, and Shady will soon learn that not all spirits remain at rest.
