Technically a prequel to my other fic, The Twilight Prince: Redux, and uses common worldbuilding, but should be readable as a stand alone one-shot.

First Contact. It was all over the news, how could it not be? A station could be heard, if one tuned into the right AM station. It played on repeat. It came from outside this world. Was it in peace? What did it mean?

In chapter 32 of Responsibilities Discord turned Blank Page into a mare for a "short" time. This here is a take on how it could have turned out differently.

Flurry Heart has grown old enough to begin attending school. However, she may have been spending a little too much time around her father, Shining Armor. She's been acting...different than the other foals during playtime. During a parent-teacher conference, Shining is informed of her behaviors.

He never wanted to be a Prince, nor to rule. But he's stuck with the job, which means having ponies relying on him.
So he's doing his best.
Which would be fine, except ponies seem happy to keep finding brand new ways to make it harder for him.

When the Triarchy of Princess Trixie, Princess Twilight, and Prince Mark took over from the missing Royal Sisters, they made many changes. Most were for Equestria as a whole, but some were in Canterlot Castle itself. Under their more informal manner of ruling, unusual characters and events livened up the Royal Castle behind the scenes for the most part. These are vignettes of some of those people and their effect on those around them.

Rarity has an important question for her close friend, Twilight Sparkle.

Princess Luna's Return produced a few side effects, and one of the more consistently annoying is a never-ending parade of those who claim to be the hitherto-unknown virtue of This Is Worth Some Free Drinks. Others take it further.

Division Seven is an international, multispecies effort, created in an attempt to find and discipline those charlatans. And ideally, to do so before something... happens.

The planet has strange ways of reacting to the presence of true Bearers.
