Princess Luna is the guardian of the dreams of all the ponies in Equestria. She takes great pride and great pleasure in this duty, but when the dreams of Applejack and Rainbow Dash keep forcing themselves upon her, she finds her waking world tinted by the nightly passions of two ponies who can't quite seem to admit to each other what they want.

This is an attempt to make a single moment into a story.

Event: Rainbow Dash has been with Applejack for a while now. They've been together for a while now, but none of them made a move yet. Rainbow Dash and Applejack are in Applejack's room after her work is finished. They've been sitting on Applejack's bed for quite some time. Rainbow Dash wanted to ask her something and the moment starts there.

Rainbow Dash and Applejack share some time together on top of the Equestria State Building, and try to confront some feelings they have bundled up.

Rarity has a normal life in Canterlot with her family. But when she sees Princess Luna raise the moon at the Winter Moon Celebration, Rarity decides to enter Luna's gifted unicorn school. She passes a test that was given to her at school and becomes a student of Luna. As she learns magic, Rarity will discover that an ancient evil will return to Equestria.

Retirement becomes boring once the relaxation fades. Boredom strikes. Celestia is content; Luna is not. But it's Twilight, sending them on a mission, one like they underwent, countless years ago, to pave dangerous lands into something safe. Together.

When the zap apples fall Applejack remembers thing and has to start thinking clearly.

Applejack drops preparations for her own family's Hearth's Warming Day celebration when she finds out that her marefriend, Rainbow Dash, is going to go visit her family for the first time in a few years. Rainbow Dash is reluctant to introduce Applejack to her family, but the farmer won't take "no" for an answer. Together, the two travel north to Vanhoover where Applejack gets to meet the ponies that raised the awesome and amazing Rainbow Dash.

Applejack realizes one morning that Rainbow Dash has apparently moved in with her. This discovery surprises Dash more than a little, too, and sets off a chain of events neither could have imagined.

The original minific version of this story came in fifth in the Dec. 2015 Writeoff Association contest, "Things Left Unsaid." And the full, three-chapter-and-an-epilogue version won 3rd place in The Fourth AppleDash Contest: A Little Twist of Lemon using the categories "A Life-Changing Event" and "An Important or Memorable Date."
