This story is a sequel to XCOM: Ranger

With the fate of her friends on Earth hanging in the balance, Twilight has to hunt myths to figure out a way to cure Sunset and save Templar Laetitia.

Taking Daring Do as her guide—and accompanied by a ragtag team of griffons, a Skirmisher-turned-breezie, and Rainbow Dash—Twilight must travel across the lands at war with the Storm King, to reach Ancient Fleece, find a lost city, and obtain the legendary sword of King Disc Ovis: The Algae Photis.

Before you read: This is a side-story to XCOM: Ranger.

I will provide all possible information needed for those that do not have the time—or inclination—to read the other story to still be able understand this one. It's a LOT of info, however, and I'm not just going to dump it all in one go. The backstory will emerge as the story progresses.

This story is a sequel to Sonata Time

After Sonata helped her fellow sirens from being homeless. They are know going to Canterlot High.
As Sonata enjoys her new life with her friends Adagio is hiding a dark secret from both Sonata and Aria.

On top of that Sunset Shimmer tries to befriend Adagio. Will Adagio accept this friendship?

After being dared by Pinkie Pie, Sunset Shimmer and Rainbow Dash stay overnight in an abandoned mansion in the woods of Canterlot. Now within its walls, they find out that the history it holds is far darker than they could've imagined.

Ever since Camp Everfree, Twilight has been asking herself the same question every night: how does one ask out Sunset Shimmer?

Normally she turns to science, but science can't help when emotion starts to override everything she does.

Inspired by the story The Sunlight Project by Space Jazz, a story I highly recommend. Also, this is my first story on this site, so all constructive criticism is welcome and appreciated.

Twilight Sparkle had always been a bit strange. Whether it was her unconventional name, her naturally purple and pink hair, or her persistent belief that science held the answer to everything, it was enough that this strangeness prevented her from forging any sort of relationship up into high school.

Now, just starting her final year, something mysterious happens at Kanterlot High School. The kind and benevolent principal will no longer speak to her. Students with names just as weird as hers are popping up out of nowhere in the same day. Everywhere, everywhere she turns there’s talk and sight of magic, followed up by a terrible monster being unleashed on the school. And worst of all? Twilight finds herself almost willing to believe it all.

Almost. Good thing she’s smart enough not to, right?

Twilight Sparkle has been going to Canterlot High for a while now, and her first Halloween with friends is almost upon her. At the request of Pinkie Pie, the girls agree to have a fun night of Trick-or-Treating, candy, and lots of scares! But there's something Twilight wants more than all the costumes and candy in the world, and her name is Sunset Shimmer. She just has to work up the courage to talk to her!

More than one thousand years ago, the world was a continuous string of wars. With nations at each other’s throats, leaders would place their trust in the assistance of mercenaries. But of all the mercenaries in the world, none were more feared than a special group known only as “The Cutters”. This group of three ponies, an earth pony and two pegasi were so feared that most nations would hesitate before hiring them. Mainly because their number one rule was to work for the highest bidder. Even if it meant killing their current contractor. With a past shrouded in mystery and a skill unmatched by any nation. these three mercenaries would kill without hesitation, without fear, and without mercy, a jewel for any nation’s military force. Yet there is more to them than what meets the eye.

It's been almost a thousand years since Nightmare Moon's banishment and while experimental juggernaut Sgt. Alex Ray Johnson has been trapped in stone for most of the time, as per his choice, his release to help with the mare in the moon's return could be an unexpected turn of events. While he helps get Luna accustomed to the new times, he has the opportunity to make friends and actually be welcomed into society. However, not all stories have nice tales. As a dark enemy looms on the horizon, Alex will be put to the test as he will face many dangers and even wage in a war to defend those he deems friends. Will he survive?
This is my second story and will feature many aspects and events from COD 4 MW, COD MW2 and the armored juggernaut suit that Alex is wearing from mw3. There are many lands through the mirror; strange ones where all manner of things are possible, even one where the righteous are instead wicked and the only hope fell to the villainous. A world put out of sorts when the Good King Sombra absorbed the evil of the Two Sisters.

The Overlord, Thorax, has come to set the world back into its dark path, and only the recently turned Sisters stand in his way... but they'll need help. Light once came through that mirror. Surely light can be brought forth again, to quell this rising evil before it is too late.

Canterlot High is a pretty great school to go to, thanks in no small part to the students there. However, as with any school, it has more than its fair share of odd, unexpected and just downright crazy moments. But, let it never be said that the boys and girls there can't handle some craziness in their lives. Fun, romance, excitement, the suspicious lack of any regular classes, Canterlot High has it all.

Besides, for all the ups and downs the place has, it's not as if they have a pair of nigh-immortal magical beings from another universe watching them all, right?
