The Text, an odd and capricious being that only talks by printing words into your mind, seems to quite enjoy teleporting people with no preparation into Equestria and seeing what they do. Most get some help almost immediately after reaching there, or get into problems with the denizens, but what happens when one person brings their own problem with them? On April 18, 2543, during the battle of Psi Serpentis, Vice Admiral Preston Jeremiah Cole and the crew of the UNSC Everest gave their lives to defend humanity. Cole had been the most successful military commander in the history of the UNSC, winning twenty-five consecutive battles against the Covenant. His accomplishments were remembered, and he was honored as a fallen hero. But do heroes ever truly die?

This story takes place immediately after the "Death" of Preston J. Cole in the short story; The Impossible Life and the Possible Death of Preston J. Cole, written by bestselling author Eric Nylund. The story is from the novel, Halo Evolutions Volume 1.

I highly recommend that you read this short story, so that you may better understand Cole's back-story. Otherwise this crossover may be slightly confusing to the readers.

Also, the drawing of Cole on the left depicts him from his younger days. In the story he is over seventy years old, so as you can tell the picture is not up to date, but it was the best I could find. The Sangheili are a saurian species of fierce, proud, strong, agile, intelligent warriors and skilled combat tacticians. They are named after their home planet, Sanghelios, and are known to Humans as Elites, due to their adeptness and skill in combat. The Sangheili formed the military backbone of the Covenant for almost the entirety of its existence, they fear very little, and take great pride in an ancient, honor-laden code.

However, this group of Spec Ops Elites, Grunt, and Kig-Yar have crashed landed in Equestria by way of a slipspace drive being detonated in the middle of the ship they were heading to, the 'Glory Upon Salvation'.

Now they have to find a way off the planet and back into space so they can continue their journey to the Blessed Path... by dropping hot plasma on human worlds.
But will they want to, when something they revere tells them otherwise?

This story starts some time before the season 2 finale, but after the other episodes of season two. Season 3 stuff will only be used if I find a reason for it/don't think it's OP (I'm looking at you Twilicorn and Mirror Pool.)
This story also takes place before Halo: Reach, so don't expect things to stick very close to the games.
