A thousand years ago in Equestria, Luna's frustration and desperation has been building for years and years as her social and political isolation grows, but just before Luna's jealousy and resentment can turn into murderous hatred against her sister, a new event triggars Luna's mental collapse and pushes her over the edge. When Luna by circumstance finds herself alone in Celestia's room she reads her sister's diary out of curiosity and discovers all of the disparaging criticism that Celestia has leveled at her over the years about how much of a nuisance Luna has been to her, but has been too polite to say directly to Luna's face.

Luna and Celestia had always supported and stuck with each other all their lives. Even when the common-ponies critisism and shunning of her was at its worst, the knowledge that her sister loved her kept Luna going. The realization that nopony, not even her own sister valued her or thought she was fit for the throne completely shattered whatever remained of her fragile psyche.

And so Luna just gave up...

She gave in...

If no one wanted her there...

Then she wouldn't stay there...

She would leave.

Walking home at night clearly is one of the most stupid decisions you’ve ever made. That only becomes even more clear when you wake up in an unfamiliar place with strange new limbs.

Haven’t you ever been taught about stranger danger? Don’t go into dark alleys, don’t approach strangers in trench coats, and definitely don’t antagonize them for offering you glow-in-the-dark stickers. You never know if they are some strange, world-bending, celestial deity of some sort that gets easily offended at insults to their precious, precious sticker-selling business and decides to punish you by slapping a sticker on you, therefore transporting you to a world filled with fun-loving equines and terrifying monsters with racial problems.

Your stupid decisions aside, at least one good thing that came out from this situation was that you at least look kinda bad-ass. However, it really does make you stick out from the generic brands of ponies in this... “Equestria” land you woke up in. Hopefully your quick (not really) wits and profound knowledge in the art of profanity, sarcasm, and unknowingly ominous statements that you blurt out of your large, now fang-filled mouth. This is a changeling/centaur reader insert. I was kinda planning on making this gender-neutral, but i think it will be a bit more room for hilarity if the reader was female. There are an innumerable amount of worlds Sunset could have been sent to. Fewer where she kept her magic. Even fewer that have others with powers. In fact there's full teams of heroes and villains in this world. But Sunset's never really been much of a team player. She stayed on her own, under the radar as she built herself up from nothing.

One night though, things go wrong and she starts attracting attention.

Disturbances in the magic of Equestria causes rifts between worlds. One unlucky hiker stumbles into one such rift and finds themself in a new body and in a new world.

After several jumps go wrong, Anon lands himself, er, herself into another land of colorful equines. This time stuck for an entire year before being able to continue on her quest of returning home.
