The night is young. It has been a week since the Battle of the Bands. An argument breaks out at a dining room table, with three teenage girls. Someone gets thrown out.

Even unable to sing well, a siren is never silent.

This is how it feels to be Sonata Dusk, right now.

After their defeat at the Battle of the Bands, the Dazzlings lost practically everything that mattered to them. They couldn't sing anymore and they had lost their control over everyone at Canterlot High. Still, this hasn't deterred Adagio and Aria from trying to regain their powers and exact their revenge on the Rainbooms. As for Sonata, she has found herself in a odd situation. A new transfer student who is unaware of anything that happened has captured her attention with his heroics. Now she must decide whether to help Adagio and Aria get what they want, or try to move forward and better herself.

After the Battle of the Bands, the Dazzlings left, defeated and very angry. Well, two left that way. The blue one was left, abandoned. Her name was Sonata Dusk. She was left out of the Dazzlings, and was all alone. That is, until a boy comes by her side. Dusk Shine. He soon became her friend. And with that, love comes. A story comes.

Starswirl the Bearded is a powerful wielder of magic, who for many years has safeguarded the realm of Equestria. From treating different nations, teaching the princesses, to facing horrible magical creatures of the land, he has seen it all. However, on one fateful day, his life would change. During a raid against trappers he discovered three small children and he knew of what they are. Knowing the risk they would bring he knew what dangers they possessed to Equestria.

Yet, how could he do his duty for his country when they were the last of their kind?

The Dazzlings have been living in a very poor life since the Battle Of The Bands. And when the Rainbooms ask Sonata, Sonata only if she wants to reform, (they'd provide her with the things she needs, like food and water if she agrees) she has to decide if she wants to live a better life or stay with her only family.

After their defeat, the Dazzlings have disappeared. When they hide from Canterlot High and other people, they blame each other for their loss. Saddened, Sonata Dusk flees from the others. Aria Blaze stomps off after a fight, and Adagio looks for guidance.

Author's Note: There will NOT be a sequel. I am touching up on the ending of the story to make up for this.

Sonata couldn't believe it. She wasn't smiling, she wasn't happy, and was clearly shattered. She could only think of one solution: Jump. Finish the job. Besides, who would care that she's dead? Nobody liked her anyways... except the ones that cared.

Ever since you were young, you've always preferred the rainy days over the sunny ones. The key word is days at any other time, it's just annoying, especially in the evening. It gets too cold, too damp, and too obnoxious. To combat the cold, you grab your favorite blanket, a bowl of soup, and your favorite film, you were gonna ride out this night like you did every night.

That's until a bright orange blur catches your eye. It takes shelter under the bus stop across from your house. Everything in your being is telling you it's just another homeless person. But, this one wasn't like any hobo you've seen. Her clothes were somewhat clean and she didn't seem very unkempt. You can't help but investigate.
