It pleases me so much to have asked you for this story. Truly, as I knew would be true, you nailed it in a way my style of writing just could never do.
I made a try with a tale entitled "Maternal Bonds Of Eternal Friendship". However it pales compared to what you achieved through this telling of Celestia raising Spike and how she knew that, one day, she'd have to let him go in order to grow alongside the one who was always meant to have him.
The tale, for me, fills in a huge gap that I hope the show fills in during Season 9. Comic #40 did a good enough job with when Twilight first got responsibility over Spike. However the time before this really needed some telling and, well, your writing is perfect for it.
I'll be looking forward to sharing this very soon. I appreciate you helping me to create some very special content for a most very special day to come. :)

This was just too precious for words
This is a cute story, but it makes no sense for a baby dragon to drink milk from a bottle. They're not mammals. I'm sure Spike could digest it, but I doubt it would be the best source of nutrition. Also, because they're not mammals, baby dragons would sleep through the night instead of waking up several times to nurse.
Sorry to be That Guy, but I have experience taking care of baby birds and reptiles, so that part jumped out at me.
You mean for the dragon? Who breathes fire and can bathe in lava?
