"My name is Lyra Heartstrings, and you will not remember me. You won't even remember this conversation. Just like with everypony else I've ever met, everything I do or say will be forgotten. Every letter I've written will appear blank; every piece of evidence I've left behind will end up missing. I'm stuck here in Ponyville because of the same curse that has made me so forgettable. Still, that doesn't stop me from doing the one thing that I love: making music. If my melodies find their way into your heart, then there is still hope for me. If I can't prove that I exist, I can at least prove that my love for each and every one of you exists. Please, listen to my story, my symphony, for it is me."

I want to read this but i cant remember why

And because i can First

That was amazing...... I can't stop crying now..... I have had the same song stuck in my head for weeks and now this....

Holy Celestia... this is AMAZING. the characterization, the emotion, the derpy, it all fits together flawlessly.

This will become the next classic of mlp. I suggest sending it to Equestria Daily. Its THAT Good.

Dear God... favorite, like, and a follow from me, you little genius, you.

Holy mother of God this is amazing.

I demand closure to this story... But at the same time, it is absolutely perfect as is.

The concept alone is quite haunting, and Lyra's acceptance of it even more so. And you've already got my brain going on the way Twilight's did, trying to find a way to help her.

Liked and favorited. You deserve it.

I don't know how you do it, but you just did it again.
I would not be surprised one bit if this becomes the next Fimfiction classic.

Here. Take my feels. Take all of them.

I don't know why, but I'm smiling for some strange reason.

This was, without a doubt, hauntingly beautiful. It's been a while since a story has brought a tear to my eye. And tonight, you've given me another.
Lyra is indeed a very strong pony, knowing that no one remembers her, and yet, she can be remembered through her anonymous actions.
Bravo, I say. Bravo.

Aspicio, diluculo Infinitas Noctis.
Shadow Horizons

The moment I realized what was happening, my face became

Tragic and profound. You have a tracker.

i c wat u did thar

And now I must be swift, for I am pursued by the slathering hounds of grammar, spelling and decency.

Exit stage right.411184

Damn. Great story.

It kinda just ended abruptly, but I absolutely loved the whole concept.

I love Lyra so much, that I don't know if I can handle reading her being sad...

Good sir shortskirtsandexplosions this is one, if not the best fan fic i have read in my short 2 weeks of being a member of this site you captured how it feels to be a background character. What you've just wrote is one of the most insanely amazing things I have ever read. At no point in your story, were you even close to anything that could make me not want to track this. Everyone in this room is now better off for having read this. I award you points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

To 411247: Billy Madison FTW! Now, onto the review:

Kind of reminds my of Greek myths, using stories to explain nature. In this case, the strange quality of our minds to think of the same tune, for no reason, for days on end. Imagine everybody forgetting you after only an hour. Also: This is likely a one-shot, unfortunately. Another chapter would ruin the tone of the story. In fact, if you don't track this (or even if you do), how long do you think it will take until you forget about this story? Cryptic, self-demonstrating story? Major props to you, author.

9/10 'Staches.

This is incomplete? Regardless, well done.

>If Ponyville was any other town
were any other

>The Mayor is obviously made of fare more cultured stuff.
made of far

You casually go from "Derpy" to "Ms. Hooves" and back.

Lyra says "Heh" quite often. Her manner of speaking also sounds very masculine.

Does Lyra actually need to hide, given her situation?

So writing aside, the weakest plot points here seem to be:
1. Lyra's "situation" goes largely unexplained, but you try to explain it instead of pushing it aside, drawing attention to its importance instead of its consequences.
2. Despite time being a factor for Derpy, Lyra is in no apparent rush to complete her project.
3. Lyra seems to bring up a lot of things from canon proper, yet Bon-Bon is nowhere to be seen.

'Course, s'all just my opinion.

Amazing. And incomplete?

THIS should be featured, not that awful "Big Lyra Theory" fic featured now only because the author that wrote it has a fanbase of idiotic teenagers!

You... have a gift, for writing.

A mite stretched out, but very solid. You have - AGAIN - written something leagues above what most writers in the fandom are capable of. I both love and hate you for it.

At first I was like: I'm going to read this now!

Then I saw 11k words.

Added to RIL, will sit down with coffee and noodles tomorrow or something and read.

mmust track with orbital cannon

I loved this. Really brill.

I'm not a teen, I'm 22. Close enough but not quite the same.

Based on the fact that according to your profile you've only read that one fic of his, you're not who I'm talking about.

That guy has another fic called "Three of Me: School Society" that is just... awful. But somehow, it's the second most-commented fic on this entire site.

From writing that fic, the guy somehow got a fanbase big enough to catapult anything new that he makes to Featured just by their views alone. Also, criticize his writing and they'll flame you quite a bit.

I will say that his new fic shows improvement, though.

411448 Your profile pic is fucking scary.

This was very good, have you sent it to eqd? You should if you haven't.

ah. I thought you were referring to just everyone.
I have found nothing to criticize. I try not to be critical of other peoples work. That creates resentment and is not what i see bronydom to be about. But that's just me!

i can't wait for more:pinkiehappy:

Will this be as long as EoP? I'm asking because I am enjoying this, but I simply don't have the time to read chapters weighing in at 30k words along with the other fics I'm watching :(

Really hope that "incomplete" is intentional, 'cause I really want to find out what happens next!

No thumbs down so far?

And well-deserved at that! Asides the grammar nazi in us all tripping over the minor grammatical and spelling errors, this story goes well beyond the sophistication and creativity that goes into your average fic here on fimfiction. And the fact that it's "incomplete" gives me hope for Lyra!

This better get featured soon, for what it's worth.

This is unfinished? But it's already brilliant!

This is long, but worth it:pinkiesad2: it was really good i'm favoring this

Another story makes the front page? Meh.
Another story makes the front page and uses my vector as a cover image? Me Gusta.

It will all disappear forever.... just like my fics. But THIS one, this one will at least live in my heart forever :applecry:.

Beautifully written. The amount of words shall never cast me astray from such well written work. Hell, this isn't even well written, it is perfect to me. The story is sad but can't say I cried.

Ironically, even a story of being forgotten shall be remembered forever. Thank you for the wonderful fic. Going to put this in My Top Favorites so that it shall never be forgotten.

Bloody brilliant good sir..... It DESERVES to be featured, just beautiful....

Brilliant. I realize the word is one often used, but there it is.

*Notice incomplete*
Pleasepleaseplease Continue this.

M. Bison: Yes! Yes!

You hard worker you, how many fics do you have running at one time? And all excellent too, geez.

I can only hope to write like you do - to invoke so much emotion from a few lines of text. Thank you. Thank you very much for sharing this with us all. I'm going to go get started on that writing here in a bit after I stop crying.

I would use emoticons, but that just feels inappropriate for this. It wouldn't be appreciative of the solemnity of this story.

This tops My Little Dashie. In every. single. way. Hands down the saddest thing I've ever read. This. . . this is one of those keystone pieces of art--not fiction, ART--that truly shapes and defines a fandom. Favorited, liked, downloaded onto my phone, cried myself to sleep.

412047 That's exactly what I thought. :twilightsheepish:

That my sir, that is a good story.

It's so telling that there are no dislikes. :applecry::fluttercry::fluttershbad::pinkiesad2::raritycry::raritydespair:

If I don't read this, she'll dissapear?
Eh, screw it, nobody liked her anyway!

It seems a little silly to comment just to say I put this on my "Read Later" list, but I just had to compliment you on the summary: that's one hell of a hook. I'm looking forward eagerly to picking this one up.
