But like most card games, there is something else lying just below the surface.

So when Rarity enters a password into her Scanner, she is plunged right into the middle of a much bigger game, where the stakes are a little higher than normal.

After his defeat in Turtles Forever, Ch’rell aka The Shredder was somehow transported into the Storm King’s territory. Shredder quickly deals with the annoying king and takes over his armies. Now with a new army, Shredder will find a way back to Turtle Prime and finish what he started. But he will need the magic of four princesses to accomplish that.

Nightmare Moon spends a thousand years banished to the Moon, fighting herself and the Shadows both within and without. She watches civilization rise and spread, a quarter-million miles away.

Can she reclaim her power? Can she overcome the six champions her sister has sent to defeat her?

Why do three of the champions look terribly familiar to the renegade Moon Princess? Why does the sight of one, in particular, break her heart?

And why, as the battle continues, does she increasingly hope that she does not win?

Humanity send in a mechanical beast to explore a new world they just recently discovered; however, this world wasn’t uninhabited. Discord's been settling in, if you can call anything Discord does "settling", to life as Fluttershy's housemate. He's friends now with both Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie, he's become an extraordinarily annoying second mentor for Twilight, he and Celestia are even making attempts to repair their old friendship. But what comes as close as Discord can get to "ordinary" life is haunted by a secret he's not willing to share with any of his new friends. He's been exiled from the Q Continuum because he's on trial. And there's a very significant chance they're going to take his powers away.

Crossover with Star Trek: The Next Generation, though don't expect to see much of the TNG characters or see the crew of the Enterprise interact with the ponies. Part of my "Next of Kin to Chaos" series, where Discord is Q. This is what happens immediately prior to and during the TNG episode "Deja Q" from the perspective of Discord's pony friends. Or, why would someone take refuge with "the closest thing" they have to a friend when they have actual friends they could go to instead?

Eight months after settling in Canterlot City, Sonic is eager to prove that he has what it takes to be a true hero. His ultimate test comes however when the evil Dr. Robotnik returns, along with his new partner, Knuckles, searching for a mysterious mystical emerald that has the power to wipe out civilizations.

Meanwhile, graduation is growing near for CHS, but the upcoming ceremony and pre-graduation party were ruined due to an “incident” by the CMCs. Luckily, the whole school, including the Equestria Girls, were invited to a trip to Hoofolulu, Hoovaii to have their graduation there by none other than Twilight’s favorite astrophysicist, Rosette Nebula. 

But there is just one problem. The Dazzlings were hired as music entertainment for the event instead.

While the Equestria Girls investigate the Dazzlings' sinister plans, Sonic teams up with the CMCs, Spike, Tempest Shadow, and their new allies, Miles "Tails" Prower and a mysterious new man who called himself, “Prism”. And together, they all race across the globe to locate the emerald before it falls into the wrong hands.
