Blues himself tells us of his life after that day and as he explores what it means to be "painted blue"; to hope, to fear, to love, to lose. He tells us as he learns what really makes a stallion a stallion, what it's like to leave something you love behind, and what risks one must face in life or risk becoming nothing at all.

All of this, Blues tells us, takes place against the background of critical moments in his life and as he travels the scope of Equestria from Manehattan to Ponyville and Appleoosa. All the while the songs he learns from his pain mingle with the one his mentor, Moody Blues, revealed within him...something unbelievable the old pony did to bring it forth.

Prince Blueblood's ascension to alicornhood had a rocky start, but he seems to have smoothed things out. Certainly, Celestia has been happier since Twilight Sparkle joined the royalty of Equestria.

However, due to misfortune and malady, Blueblood is flung across the cosmos to a strange land filled with bipedal creatures of unknown intent. He flees in fear, hoping against hope that help is on the way, but certain inhabitants of the new world are not so easily avoided. Only one mare can save him now, and she's nopony to be messed with.

Changelings, alicorns, and bronies collide as Blueblood tries to return home.

Rainbow Dash loves flying more than anything else in Equestria. At least that is what her friends think. In truth she loves Fluttershy more than anything and would even trade her wings for a chance to snuggle with the mare of her dreams... but of course that would never happen, after all...cool ponies didn't cuddle. Cuddling was for mushy romance novels and a criminally adorable yellow Pegasus. A Pegasus who had a long mane and tail and smelled like wild flowers. An aromatically inciting mare who should be arrested immediately if she ever wore those pink socks that matched her mane again. Then if Rainbow got into the Wonderbolts she could be the arresting officer and use all the latest interrogation snuggles and tickling implements to get Fluttershy to confess to her crimes of being twenty percent cuter than Equestrian law would allow... but no... Cool ponies didn't love cute things... cool ponies didn't like hugging shy mares in pink socks... and most of all, cool ponies didn't cuddle...

Rainbow dash, everyone knows her. She's the fastest pony in all of cloudsdale and Ponyville, no pony can match her unrelenting speed. To date, she has never lost a single flight tournament and is famed for being the winner of the best young flyers competition AND being the element of Loyalty! There is no pony alive that could match this pony's greatness and skill. But unlike rainbow dash, not everypony is basked in such greatness, or even luck... for some the world isent that great and they feel meaningless... that's how it is for a blue pegasus named Lightning Bolt. Now, do you know who lightning bolt is?

Of course not... who would care about some Pegasus pony, who loves to fly at deadly speeds? who loves the wind in her mane and the smell of victory? Who would care about a Pegasus that tries her heardest to win? Who cares that she has been beaten at every race by rainbowdash? who cares that she is bullied? Who cares that she loves the one she hates, the one she admires, the one she loathes? Who cares that she became bitter and scornful because of this? who cares that everypony knows she is a failure? Who cares that she is hurt, but can't show it? Who cares that, no matter what she does, she will always be...

During some very late night research into unicorn magic, Twilight comes across an interesting new spell that allows the caster and one other pony to travel to another dimension. What could possibly go wrong?

Please note: While it is set in the Deus Ex universe this fic does NOT require a huge amount of background knowledge in order to enjoy it. I even took bits and pieces from other games/other places and added it in for a little bit of fun, even down to one of the the main characters names.

Timeline wise, it's set a little after the events of 'Human Revolution' but is not connected to it.

Rated 'Teen' for language, violence and in the first two chapters partial sexual imagery. This is NOT a clopfic and is never intended as such.

When he left Spurhoof, Sheriff Cranky Doodle handed his badge to Code Red. Why? Heck if Red knows. Not that he's complaining, being a sheriff in a tiny town like this is easy! Just pretend to have a backbone and enjoy the cushy position.

Until the day an unknown pony starts camping on the roof of the Wagon Train Clothier and firing warning shots at anypony who comes close. As if that's not bad enough, now a posse of drifters have arrived who look like they're planning something unpleasant. Suddenly, being sheriff of Spurhoof isn't all that great. But Red's got the badge, so he's supposed to do something about it.

May the Sisters spare him.

Written for the 'Write an Episode' Challenge, partially because the rules intrigued me.

Story is set during the events of the as-yet unreleased Bulletproof Heart sequel. It's not necessary to have read the original to understand these events, although it would help to fully grasp some of the background.
