Seeing the memories of a girl who was separated by her mother, long suppressed memories broke the dam as the pain flooded back in.

Sunset Shimmer leaves a normal life, sure she is magical girl that defeats the forces of evil from time to time, but she has feelings, goals ambitions, good ambitions mind you. However something been bothering Sunset for quite some time, something that she has noticed about everyone around her be it her friends, or even the students she doesn't know. She doesn't have a archetype, or does she.

After the Battle of the Bands, Sunset Shimmer and the Rainbooms prepare for the upcoming Friendship games! ...Or so, she thinks. In reality, the heartbreak along with an assault has somehow broken Sunset's mind. Now, it's up to Flash Sentry, Twilight Sparkle, and others to help bring her back.

That is, if the imaginary Rainbooms want her to go back.

As the last vestiges of winter give way to the warmth of spring, the cherry blossom trees at the Canterlot Royal Botanical Gardens begin to bloom. In celebration of this, a festival is held outside the Gardens, featuring food, games and capped off by a fireworks display.

This year, however, the cherry blossoms aren't the only things to blossom, as Sunset Shimmer will soon discover.
