Andrew your basic every day guy, hates Christmas, he finds no purpose in the holiday, but one day he gets in an accident and dies, or at least he thought he did he soon wakes up in an old crumbling castle, not only that but he's been turned into a small filly, one with black fur and white hair, as well as having a horn and wings, now in a world he doesn't know and being seen as a monster and hated for it, he will have to learn how to live in a new life, all while having heard about this holiday called Hearths Warming.

This is my backstory on Excalibur Edge as she gets a kind of crash course in having a new life, and being kind of rushed into it all. Most of this will be taking place before Skaltrox Defiance Knight's Lavender Heart . So get ready for a bucking wild ride in this mare's life. Well, maybe not that wild.

When the ponies came, they tried to convert humanity with words and kindness, saying that they were misguided beings and the princesses would help them on the path to Harmony. When that failed, the ponies tried the potion, only for it's magic to be countered by humanity's science. Then they tried force and failed completely at that.
Finally they decided to let the Barrier defeat humanity and it seemed to work! Nearly 50% of the planet was covered with humanity doing it's best to find a solution.
Unfortunately, the ponies of Equestria are about to learn a harsh lesson that humanity learnt long ago. The Earth can be paradise for those who tame it, but to others it is hell.

In the year 2024 humanity once again broke the sky with fire as a new president gave funds to companies that were for space exploration. Within his first year he secured a deal with China, Russia and the rest of the superpowers come under a single agreement; the betterment of mankind. Within his second term we were working on machines to propel us farther than Mars and machines to look for detecting radio waves. Fifty years later we found nothing, we realized one of three things has happened we are the first intelligent species, we are the last intelligent species, or we are the only ones in existence. We cried, but we all knew what needed to happen we spread our wings and colonized. Now we discovered faster than light travel and our oldest need came back, the need to discover. One cycle of 24 hours (equivalent to one day and night on Terra/Sol 3/Earth) it all changed.

When the sky over the Crystal Empire is split open by a dark tear, Celestia, Cadance, Luna and Twilight must figure out a way to stop it. But in order to defeat darkness, sometimes you NEED darkness. And that leaves only one option; Sombra.

With his powers under lock down, and a growing connection to the strange darkness, can Sombra learn what it really takes to earn an empires respect, or will he abandon them to the darkness from another world?

Upon the destruction (failure to save) of a realm and thrown though the void, Ethan Pow in another form collides with a unknown barrier protecting the realm where Equestira exist. Causing a part of his crystalline brain to break though the barrier and under some odd effects revived as another being. Believing he is a clone, Delta must learn his propose with the knowledge he knows so far. Hoping he doesn't mess everything up in the process.

When a new nation is born, more often than not it is bound to face the many issues and hardships that come from becoming a new prescence in the world stage. And for the United Mexican States, it was no different. After a brief period of keeping the monarchical rule, they now proclaimed themselves a federal republic. As one of the emerging nations in the Americas, Mexico was ready to stand on its own after centuries of colonial rule.

For other nations, a significant event in their history can act as a rebirth. A time where they can start anew; sticking to their past, forging a new path, or a combination of both. And for the Kingdom of Equestria, it was no different. After a time of ruling Equestria, the Spirit of Chaos and Disharmony, Discord, was finally overthrown by two alicorn sisters, who were made the new princesses of Equestria. And thus, Equestria would enter a new chapter in its history.

These two countries, not even found on the same planet, it was unlikely they would ever meet. That is, until fate had other plans.

The United Mexican States suddenly found themselves alone after a mysterious event. The rest of their world had seemingly vanished, their country now itself an island. Panic gripped the areas near the new edges, and while the rest of the country was still skeptical, the newly formed government now found itself dealing with this new problem.

What they would soon find, however, would create more questions than answers.

Shattered Skies has lived quite some time. He had done well for himself over the past few thousand years; staying out of the public eye and remaining generally uninvolved from pony society while he tended his forests.

Who wouldn't want that, right?

His job came with excellent security and fringe benefits, but after he was betrayed by a princess he trusted, all he wants to do is to live a normal life even if the world tells him otherwise.

After an existential journey goes wrong, a man finds himself in Equestria. With no way to return home he has no choice but to find a path in a new body. Will he discover a place to belong once again in this new land, or be forced to carve one out?

Currently rewriting first eight chapters and editing the rest of the story. Plot will be fundamentally the same, just the quality will significantly increase. There will be some story and character changes.
