This story is a sequel to Head in the Clouds

Written for a small group contest. (Placed 1st! Thank you all for the support!)

Rainbow Dash and Soarin are extremely unsatisfied with how they left their relationship upon parting ways. Friends with benefits sounds nice, but once apart they both realize just how much the other means to them. Unfortunately now neither are in a position to confront the other and reveal what pulls at both their hearts: Love.

Soarin may be duty bound and unable to act, but Dash jumps at an opportunity that could turn their relationship into the direction they both truly want. A story of not accepting barriers. True love exists on all levels and distances.

(Note: this story was admittedly rushed for a contest. Looking back on it now, there are some inconsistencies, such as some of Dash's abilities. The end may seem a bit squished as well. I apologize in advance)

This story is a sequel to First Night and Then Some

Almost a year has passed since Soarin and Rainbow Dash shared a now-famous kiss at Canterlot Stadium. Now, the blossoming relationship they share will be put to an unavoidable test. Their dreams for the future and dedication to each other will collide on the day Soarin dreads: Wonderbolt tryouts.

Soarin and Rainbow Dash share an evening together, and each get more than they bargained for the next day.

Nine years after her acceptance into the Wonderbolts Rainbow Dash stuns the crowd by announcing the impossible, the incredible: retirement. Her status set as officially retired the daring Pegasus makes plans to finally be able to settle down with her old friends and start up a family of her own. After everything she's done has been set into motion she discovers that life doesn't always go down the path you were expecting...

Rainbow's dad has one of the coolest jobs ever. He not only works at the Cloudeseum, but he gets to see the Wonderbolts train there on a daily basis. Today, he's bringing Rainbow Dash with him to work to see her heroes in person, and it's sure to be one of the best days she's ever had.

"I couldn't keep going without you, Dad. I needed some way to hold on to you, to never let you go. I needed to grasp onto the breeze you left behind in your dust, but it was intangible, and I was stopped by the barren force field of reality. You were gone..."

After the painful death of her father, Rainbow Dash decides to write a letter. A letter of regret, a letter of apologies...

Sequel to Rainbows and jealousy and Rainbows and music This is the third story in the rainbows and stories trilogy First one was Rainbows and music.
I recommend you read those stories first cause there is quite a lot of character development in those two stories. and if you read them this story will make more sense.

After the whole Thunderlane thing was over couple of weeks ago Soarin and Rainbow Dash can finaly star their new life together. but the trade negotiations between Equestria and Saddle arabia go south and the world is at the brink of a war. Tragic love story between Soarin and Rainbow Dash whose future together is threatened by war and death.

This story is a sequel to Swooping Pegasus. I would recommend reading that story first to understand some of the bits in this story, but it is not 100% necessary.

Just a heads up, this story is going to be much darker and much more violent than the first one.
