Everypony expect that the wonderbolts have a great life and lot of friends, but when Spitfire damages her wing at a live performance, something changes inside her and she wants to leave Cloudsdale she realizes that perhaps she can't turn to anypony.

Ponyville is a small, charming beach town on Equestria's coast, but it has a tragic history for Rarity. Despite this, she moves with her family to Ponyville to start her fashion business. While she begins to adjust to her new life she still does not believe the "Legend of the Mermare" that visits the Ponyville beaches and docks. Giving trinkets and gifts from the sea in exchange for a book. Especially if everypony in town, even her sister Sweetie Belle, seem to believe it.

So, when she goes one sunny afternoon to relax and read a book by the sea she very quickly realizes that the legend is not only very true but the mermare intrigues her like no pony has ever before.

Allington is a unicorn from Trottingham who seems to have it all, a great family. Good friends, and an interesting job which takes him all over Equestria. His life is however changed the day he sets hoof into Hollow Shades on a job-related trip. It's there he finds an ostracized batpony named Passion Quill who changes his life. She's odd, uneducated, and a beaten mess. But with a bit of help, Passion gets the opportunity to learn how the world outside her backwards town really works, and what it means to have a family.

One day, as the Mane 6 and Spike are having a nice day out, a strange cloud appears to them from beyond the horizon. This cloud starts to cause immense chaos with its magical lightning bolts, with the chaos looking similar to the kind Discord had created before. After defeating the cloud, Twilight starts to act strangely, and the next day, Twilight's body parts start to change into different animal parts! Not knowing what to do, Twilight and her friends race to talk with Princess Celestia about this, with Twilight changing more and more with the more chaos she causes...

After Twilight Sparkle made her biggest secret public much earlier than she'd originally planned, the lives of the Element-Bearers and their closest friends somehow managed to become even more complicated than they already were. Yet despite the flurry of all of the added activity this brings, Princess Celestia decides to undertake a particularly ambitious project: the reformation of Discord. She delegates the task to Penumbra Noctis, who, more than anypony else, can empathize with the draconequus' situation, and who is therefore best suited to showing Discord the magic of friendship. On the surface, it's a very reasonable plan.

Unfortunately, Discord has never had much patience for reason.

This is the fifth and final story in The Petriculture Cycle. Reading the first four stories, which begin here, is highly recommended.

Twilight Sparkle has spent months researching chaos magic, developing a new spell to unlock magic nopony has ever experienced before. But when something goes wrong with casting, Twilight finds herself turned into a Draconequus and unable to control her new chaos magic. If she ever wants to be a pony again, there is only one who can help her learn to control her new magic.

Of course, learning from Discord was never going to be simple. And after a while, being a draconequus doesn't seem so bad anyway....

Twilight lives in the land of dragons with her dragon family. She is content to be surrounded by her personal library, assist her high priestess mother with her rituals, occasionally organize her high-ranking officer father's files, tutor her little brother in royal manners and sometimes hang out with the third princess.

Moondancer is princess Celestia's protégée. She loves to hole up in the Canterlot research center and eat ice cream with her friends. She is also sporadically insecure about her worth, but she knows that her friends are there to help her through. With them at her sides, she can overcome anything ; she is invincible.

Simple wedding invitations would be the things to disrupt the surfacing tranquility. Except they are not simple wedding invitations. They are entrance tickets to a sinister plot and the gateways to a war between the three empires.

This story was inspired by Twilight: The Dragon Sorceress written by Wicked DG. The premise might be very similar, but I expect my way of handling it, and by extension the end result, will be completely different.

Please note that this story was planned before Gauntlet of Fire. The elements presented in the episode will most likely be completely ignored.

In addition to helping prepare the most high profile wedding Equestria has seen in living memory, Celestia has tasked Sunset Shimmer and the rest of the Elements of Harmony with befriending the future queen of the Dragon Empire and her entourage, the first Sorcerer the Empire has ever had. In the chaotic period following the fall of the Covenant Empire, the Shipmaster Vraal Rutaen does his best to ensure the safety of his race.
