This fic may not be clop (so no explicit man-on-tiny-horse action to be found here) but the original is so you have been warned.

This is a semi-sequel to "The Incredibly Dense Mind of Rainbow Dash." Not really a proper sequel, since it's focused on Cloud Kicker and Blossomforth instead of Rainbow and Pinkie, but it's in the same continuity. So I guess that makes it a follow-up-side-quel story. Or something. You don't need to have read "The Incredibly Dense Mind of Rainbow Dash" to read or enjoy this, but you ought to read it anyway, just because.

Especially when our newly minted captain has to deal with an empty roster, budget cuts, the first non-pegasi cadets, and the pressure of finding out your best friend is now your boss, let alone a princess.

If that weren’t enough to make her quit, her three wing commanders might. Cloud Kicker is a sexual harassment lawsuit waiting to happen; Surprise makes no sense; and Lightning Dust is, well, Lightning Dust.

Meanwhile, Scootaloo arrives at the academy, ready and raring to prove she’s got what it takes to be an elite flyer. Pressure mounts as Scootaloo aims to make her hero proud.

Davril Longfang thought he’d finally got it made, one final contract that would fill his pockets with so much coin he’d be able to retire from the often dangerous job of being a professional thief.

A contract to steal something very powerful from a cruel ruler in a faraway land beyond Cyrium.

Now, stuck in a completely new world with its own problems and internal conflicts. Davril has to fit in with the locals whilst at the same time trying to fulfill the contract given to him by the stranger.

Princess Celestia, in her infinite wisdom, comes to the conclusion that she doesn't have anywhere near enough time to do everything on her busy schedule. Not a problem for her, though. The solution to having no time is obvious: just make some more.

There are many times when we think we are fighting for what's right, just to find out that we have accomplished nothing. We fight wars, destroy lives, and shatter each others dreams to wage a battle for a cause against nobody but ourselves. We throw a tantrum to reality, and it spits right back in our eyes.

This was inspired largely by the song "Hurt" by NIN and Johnny Cash, and if you can spot the reference, then please say it in the comments and I'll give you a cookie. That is all.

John wonders if he will ever get out of this rut and at least play on a stage for once. His chance might have come when he is transported to Equestria where Rock has not yet been discovered. But first he will have to coop with the circumstances and take on all the challenges that are unknown. With Gibson in hand he will open Equestria to a whole new genre of music.
