But they aren't the only ones after Neptune's Blessing. The high-speed race across the seas begins as every flag seeks to claim the wish for themselves, and be crowned King of the Seas.

First story in the Rays of SunLight series.

Sunset Shimmer has just graduated from Canterlot High School, and while that would normally be cause for celebration, it fills her only with a nameless dread as her friends begin to scatter to the winds to pursue their futures. With the latent magic of the human world contained and categorized and the Rainboom's idyllic days of schoolwork over, she finds herself without aim and listless, as though something important is missing from her life.

Fortunately for her, Princess Twilight Sparkle might know what ails her.

So. First time posting on the site after a VERY long period of lurking and reading and enjoying the tales this fandom can produce. To my surprise, I found a dearth of a certain subset of story that I wanted to read, and so I have done this, to put my thoughts to words. After all, it is said that one should write the story they want to read, yes? I've been inspired by a variety of stories like it that came before, and I hope to equal their quality.

I'll try to update roughly once every couple of weeks; please be patient with me and I hope you give this tale a once-over. Pre-emptively tagging with AU, that I might diverge freely from what may come if needed.

Sunset has a crush on Twilight. The problem is, she seems to have a type: people who are incredibly powerful, have some measure of authority and power in their positions, and still have very sweet personalities.

And Twilight is far more powerful and popular than Flash ever was.

But it's okay. It's not like Twilight likes her back, right? Right.

A lone vampire bat sneaks through the mirror portal and ends up in the human world. Instead of apples, it now craves something far richer. And unfortunately for Sunset Shimmer, she's its next snack.

Sunset can't remember any of her activities past sundown. The light hurts not just her eyes, but burns her skin. And she's thirsty.

So very thirsty.

It's up to the Rainbooms to save Sunset from herself before she drinks the whole city dry. Too bad Twilight Sparkle is her primary target.

Twilight and Sunset are sent around ponyville with strange riddles leading them on top of a lonely hill. Little do they know that, this is a set up by the two ponie's friend's. The only question is what for and why at midnight?

It really had been a long time since Sunset had written to a princess, and a long time since she had been a student. But can she put her past behind her, or will her inner demons consume her? With her new teacher being none other than the Princess of Friendship, Sunset's future looks promising.

This will be a SunLight story (SunsetxTwilight shipping). Also EQG (although that's kind of a given).

Sunset Shimmer, the terror of Canterlot High, and former protégé of Princess Celestia, and Twilight Sparkle, a recently transferred girl who has won the hearts of the students and reunited five friends. One struggles against her loathing, while the other seeks to help, both have no idea how their lives are about to change, and how much they well come to rely on each other.

A group simply known as the Organization seeks to create an arms race, using a powerful weapon known as the Firestorm Protocols, but when Twilight and Sunset find one of the protocols, can they come together to stop the Organization's plans? Secrets are revealed, allegiances are tested, and the fate of the world hangs in the balance, the Firestorm Crisis has begun...!

Note: This takes place in an Alt. Universe after the events of the Fall Formal and a little before Rainbow Rocks. Pony!Twilight never arrived to EQG world and CHS, but Human!Twilight did.

After the battle of the bands, Twilight has been thinking over many things regarding the Dazzlings. She feels that she failed in her duty as Princess of Friendship not just because she didn't figure everything out, but also due to the fact she just left the Dazzlings alone. When she defeated Sunset she gave her friends, but Twilight just watched as the Adagio, Aria, and Sonata ran off the stage. Don't they also deserve another chance?

Twilight has decided to make it her mission to fix this mistake, and she hopes Sunset Shimmer will help her. She also hopes the two of them can improve their friendship.

After the battle of the bands, things have been different and better for Sunset Shimmer. However, there are a couple of things on her mind still. The main one being how she wants things to be better between her and Twilight. After all, Sunset knows she owes the purple pony princess everything. She also feels like they didn't really get to know each other better last time Twilight came to the human world.

When Twilight mentions a mission for the two of them will this be the chance Sunset wanted to improve things? Also how deep will their relationship grow if it grows in the first place? Also what happened to the Dazzlings afterwards anyways?
