This story is a sequel to The First Year

A little over a year ago I was pulled here, Equestria. Things happened, I found a kindred spirit, my soul mate. We may not look alike and we think very differently, but together... Well, its a whole new life for us.

The continuation of Living and Dying in Equestria and The First Year, both are pretty much required reading beforehand... Or a lot of things won't make sense.

As I'm sure you can tell by the dates of submission, this story was started quite some time ago. Instead of completely ignoring things that have happened since season 3 on, this will be an alternate reality that branched from shortly before Twilight began the path to become an alicorn.

The council is the ruling body of the entire universe, and have tasked a young warrior with protecting a very special group of mares.

Warning: This story will have religious elements that are a strong part of the plot. While the story will not focus on those elements, they will be the baseline. With that being said, if you are a close-minded atheist that is going to rag on me about it or some other religious person that's going to tell me my views are wrong, please save us both the trouble and don't read.

Rated T for violence and language.

Upon receiving a new shipment of books, Spike learns that he is aging at a surprisingly slow rate, a rate so slow that by the time he would no longer be considered a young dragon, not only would all of the mane six be long gone, but so would their grandchildren... so in order to answer his long daunting question, he asks Rarity out...

For most of Applejack's life, she didn't know what she was. True, she understood who she was well enough.
But ponies don't change shapes, nor do they get strength from love.
Applejack never thought too hard on it... until the events of a certain wedding brought about some harsh realizations.
Now, with Equestria still reeling from the surprise attack, will Applejack manage to come to terms with what she is? Will she even be able to keep her secret safe?
For if the royal guards don't get her first, the conspirators in the shadows just might...

Fluttershy has always seemed to have had a terrible fear of dragons, but nopony has ever bothered to ask why exactly. So when a red dragon named Titan turns up in Ponyville, saying he's an old friend and looking to 'make amends' with the yellow pegasus, everypony, including Fluttershy's closest friends are shocked to say the least. Soon the questions on everyponys' lips are what broke their friendship in the first place, could it have something to do with Fluttershy's apparent fear of dragons, and can they both put the past behind them.
