A week away from finals, Jeremy falls asleep at the wheel and has what should have been a fatal accident. He discovers that he is one of a very small percentage of sentients in the universe. He is an immortal. He cannot die. As he struggles to accept his new place in the universe, he must figure out how he's going to begin his immortality... And where he'll go to spend it.

Note: This is a HiE story which spends much more time on characterization of the human. This will not be a 'brony in Equestria' story; it's a chance to explore fictional worlds through a very unique viewpoint.

The years go by and by for a phoenix. Never once allowed to take a final rest, a phoenix can see many, many things for many, many years. However, one memory may always stand out.

There is a rumor in Ponyville of a place out of the way, on the border of the Everfree forest. No, this isn't Fluttershy's cottage, or Sweet Apple Acres. This is a much more remote place, and much closer to the forest in it's location, and in it's dark foreboding nature.

All you need to do is follow the path you'd take in the running of the leaves, and turn right at every fourth fork in the road, or so the story goes. Eventually you'll come across of a wrought iron gate and a cobblestone road leading up to the house on the hill. The first thing you'll notice is how dark the grove is. Then you hear the noise coming from the house. Something between a skitter and a moan, loud and soft, a sound that makes hoofs shake and teeth chatter.

Now, that's as far as most ponies go, but you lot are curious six aren't you? You just have to know what's making that racket. Well, go ahead then, but don't say I didn't warn you.

Cloud Kicker has an issue.

The human TD Powell is in Equestria, and it is likely that he has... advantages that she cannot find with ponies (and one of her rules is no Diamond Dogs. Ever) but he seems more than a little unresponsive to her advances, claiming silly things like 'I'm not into ponies'. Of course, TD just found out that he can't go back to his planet, so he's stuck in Equestria forever! It's Cloud Kicker's job to make him feel welcome and comfortable, right?

Surprisingly enough, all goes well, and the two become good friends. But when an incident involving love poison affects their relationship, Cloud Kicker will be forced to deal with the fact that one of her precious few platonic friendships may be changed forever.

First, bronies become characters from the show. I, along with most of the world, am not cut in for all this drama. Of course, I don't get to chose the fate behind who becomes ponies next. After a few self-injuries hoping to wake up followed by some screaming sessions, I'm now in the body of a pony who's ego challenges Rainbow Dash's (which, until now, I never thought possible). Now, I (am forced to) set off on a journey to New York while making new friends and whatnot...Yeah, I know. Nothing's that simple. It never is. You know those moments when you feel like the world is completely against you for the hell of it? Wake me up when luck runs in my favor.

Part of the PonyEarthverse. If you have not heard of the PonyEarthverse, I highly recommend looking into it before checking out my story. Remember, the events of the story take place BEFORE season 3. This is prior to 'Wonderbolt Academy'. The main character and everyone else will treat Lightning Dust as a background pony.
