After finding her assistant missing again during her court duties, Twilight finds Spike with none other then Fluttershy and learns that the two have been a couple for a while. After overcoming her shock, she is told the story of how the two, unexpectedly, found comfort in each others embrace...

Discord's reformation has left him both elated and confused. He didn't really know how to be anything other than a villain. Wandering around the castle one day, he experiences a flashback of his life before he became the villain, when he was just a silly teenager in love with a woman far out of his league. His flashback paralyzes his body and causes him to whack his head off Celestia's throne, concussing him and leaving him bedridden until he recovers. He requests a visit with his only friend, the pony who reformed him, Fluttershy. As Fluttershy tends to Discord's wound, Discord starts to feel a strange tug in his heart that he thought he'd never feel again. It doesn't make any sense to the draconequuis, but then again.... What's the fun in making sense?

My Faithful Student Twilight Sparkle...

The lost kingdom of the Crystal Empire has returned from a long period of, well, being lost. I will have to miss this years Summer Sun celebration, as this matter has become one of an utmost urgency.

Since I am working twice as hard during a national holiday, I have decided you should have a break. I have arranged for you to be escorted to Ponyville. Hopefully, you will be able to get out of those dusty old books and make some friends. I know the concept of making friends may seem scary for you at first, but I have every confidence that you will do so with the same vigor you study magic.

I have prepared a chariot to escort you immediately. I hope you have a wonderful vacation Twilight.

When I first received that message from Princess Celestia, I had no way of knowing it would be the beginning of the least relaxing vacation ever. I had no way of knowing me and my friends were about to fulfill destiny. I had no way of knowing that this would be the beginning of a long year, fighting Discord, Nightmare Moon, Megalomaniacal unicorns, and other subtler dangers.

This is the story of a precocious group of fillies called the Cutie Mark Crusaders.

This is the story of Princess Celestia, as she fights physically and politically to keep Equestria safe.

This is the story Three Seasons in the making.

She's the original. She won the paint-watching test, fair and square.

So why do the townsponies keep avoiding her? Why do all her friends keep whispering around her? And why does Twilight keep insisting that she isn't any good at baking or throwing parties?

She's the original. The best Pinkie. She won the test, fair and square. She's not some copy, not anymore…but perhaps being a copy would be easier than being herself.

One night after a crazy Pinkie pie party, the six friends wake up in a forest. They look around to find lots of strange creatures. The friends find a town and almost get mistaken for the local creatures. After a big mix up, the six learn that the creatures are called "Pokemon". Now the set of friends have to find a way back home. The only lead is a local legend, and the knowledge of the champions.

Unknown to most ponies, even to her closest friends, Fluttershy has a baby sister who was born with a mental disability. On the first day of school, Fluttershy wants to ensure her sister has the best possible experience, so she takes matters into her own hooves. But after overstepping her boundaries, Blossom snaps back at her sister claiming she doesn't need her help. Now no longer taking help from her sister Fluttershy, how will Blossom fair on her own?

(This is in no way making fun of any mental disability.)

Scootaloo has never had the best luck. Her parents never seem to get along, she's moved seven times in her eleven years of life, and she'll never be able to be like other pegasi. But in the past year, things have been looking up for her. She's made friends, and it seems like she might be staying in one place for a little while.

Then, without any warning, her parents decide that the family will be living in Cloudsdale with Scootaloo's grandmother.

In her frustration, Scootaloo writes a letter to Rainbow Dash, never intending to send it . . . and to her surprise, chooses to contine writing. Over the course of several months, Scootaloo learns secrets about her family, her idol, and maybe even herself,

Spike loses a bet to Snips and Snails. The consequence? Ask Scootaloo out on a date. But what starts off as a frivolous punishment for the baby dragon ends up becoming much more rewarding than he ever expected.

Congratulations on choosing this, the first edition of A Brief History of Equestria!

For far to long, the vitally important role of educating our foals of the history of our nation has been delegated to Folk Lore and word of mouth, while the realities of the past have been documented, stored and educated only to the elite. It is therefore the intent of myself, the Royal Historical Society, and the Royal Ministry of Education to provide the common pony with access to a document that offers as full a history of Equestria as can be practically provided, which is the tome you now hold in your hooves.

Keep in mind that no single book cannot replace a properly structured and scheduled classroom on the subject, and while an Encyclopedia format would give a much more comprehensive narrative, the copious amounts of information would render the exercise counter-productive. As such, this book can only give what amounts to a summary of an abridged version at best. It is my hope that everypony who reads this gains an insatiable thirst for more. Hopefully with further editions, more knowledge can be included, along with a collection of tie-in texts that focus more closely on specific areas of interest.
