You know the story of Twilight Sparkle. Celestia's unicorn apprentice gets sent to Ponyville, bumps into five friends, recovers the Elements of Harmony, releases the princess's younger sister from a dark enchantment, learns to embody the magic of friendship.

Though, what would it look like if the story wasn't about the original Elements, but their siblings? How would the story of Spike T. Dragon look if he was in his sister's place? If Spike was sent to Ponyville, met some friends, recovered the elements, and saved the day?

Sparkles to Flames is a re-exploration of MLP:FiM with the Mane 6, as well as a couple others, replaced with their siblings or characters close enough to be considered family. It's also a way to explore or expand on some aspects of the show that I personally felt somewhat unsatisfied with, such as Spike's seemingly unique fire. It's also an excuse for me to rewatch the show as a whole. Criticism and corrections are welcome.

Anonymous, asshole extraordinaire and a rotten egg by all accounts, has fallen on good times after being made a commander of the Storm King's vast armies. With the King's forces and equipment at his fingers, he's found great success conquering nations, sowing chaos, and kicking the asses of all walks of life. All while having a rip-roaring great time doing it.
But the day of the Storm King's biggest conquest to date - the nation of Equestria - looms just around the corner. All that's left now is the final few preparations for the invasion: loose ends to tie up, new weapons to seize, and even some co-commanders to annoy to no end. And once those are complete, Anon will be the first in line to take Equestria as his next conquest.
God help us all.

This isn't the first horse story I've written, but it is the first one that is prose instead of greentext. And I'm still a bit rusty on top of all that. Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated!

This is my spin that was inspired by the Hub promo for Villaintine's Day and the film "Maleficent". Discord has lived happily in the Everfree Forest until an unforeseen event robs him of his teleportation and most of his flight . As an act of vengeance, he curses the newborn filly Twilight Sparkle to eternal sleep. Discord soon regrets this and tries to save her from her fate.

Somewhere in a different world, Twilight Sparkle is thrust into an unforeseen destiny with the most unlikely (and possibly unstable) group of friends to fight the forces of darkness and bring the magic of friendship back to Equestria.

That's if they don't kill each other first.

Part 2: Pony Tails

The infamous Scar, once known as Taka, the one-time King of the Pride Lands, has ended up in Equestria. Or is this what hell looks like? Either way, these lands are lush and large and in need of a...King, right?

Or perhaps friendship will find him, and Scar will die, only for goodness to find him and Taka to be resurrected. Hmmm...no, don't think so. Equestria is bucked.

MLP-Lion King Crossover.

Scar has returned, and he is planning a way to take down King Simba and rule over all the Pride Lands. He sends his army to capture Kiara. Once they bring her to him, he sends her through a fiery portal that leads her to a world that she has never seen or been in before. Once they enter Equestria, the Lion Guard must find her before they can find a way to return to Pride Rock and defeat Scar once and for all. Little do they know the other plan Scar has in mind.

This happens after The Lion Guard season 2 episode 5 “The Rise of Scar” and MLP:FIM season 3 premiere “The Crystal Empire”.

When Trixie accidentally opens a portal to Downtown City, insanity insues as Blythe and the seven pets enter the world of Equestria. With help from the Mane Six, can they ever get back home? And what do two mysterious figures want with the pets?

(Quite clearly a crossover between My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and Littlest Pet Shop. Cover art belongs to rmsaun98722 and was made for this story, so permission to use was given.)

Smolder has been sneaking through the School of Friendship, getting wondering looks from her friends and her teachers. Then one night, when Smolder thought that everyone was asleep, Smolder's friends, Starlight, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy, Applejack and Pinkie Pie followed Smolder to the catacombs, where they find Smolder with another dragon. And to surprise them all, the dragon she's with was once a human boy named Aaron Blazer.

The group wanted to know how Aaron got to Equestria in the first place. And they even wanted to know why Smolder was keeping Aaron hidden from her friends and the teachers. And, eventually, they're gonna have to find a way to get Aaron back to his home before his family starts to worry. They contacted new High Princess, Twilight Sparkle, to see if they can find a way to get Aaron back to his world.

But it would take time for Twilight to find the right spell to send Aaron home, so Smolder spent as much time with Aaron, trying to teach him how to fly like a dragon, and avoid causing fire damage with the fire breath he now has. And maybe, the two hang out.

Russell is staying with Twilight Sparkle at the Ponyville Library, but doesn't feel quite comfortable there, so the unicorn devises an icebreaker they can play to lighten the mood, with Spike and Vinnie as their faithful announcers.

But if you want the long description, here it is: The Storm King has been given a second chance by attending a Redemption Class in Twilight's School of Friendship (with that particular class being taught by Discord because he would not stop bugging everyone about it). Of course, redeeming him isn't going to be that easy but, as you can tell by the title, he will come around (especially when there is a worse threat at stake).

In spite of the name, no, there is no Jim Carrey or Neil Patrick Harris to be found here so prepare to be disappointed if you were hoping for that. The only reason I named this fanfic like that is because it sets up the satyr-ical (get it, because The Storm King looks a little bit like a satyr) tone of the fanfic.

PS: The "Yay!" in the title is sarcastic.
