Flurry Heart has grown up with the legends of King Sombra's evil deeds. Crystal ponies fear him. Her parents despise him. Even Twilight Sparkle, the Princess of Friendship, considers him a lost cause after thrice thwarting his attacks on Equestria and the Crystal Empire.

Any one of these factors would cause a reasonable pony to avoid him at all cost. But Flurry Heart isn't always a reasonable pony. And so, one fateful day, she decides to call on the king of shadows himself to answer a few questions.

In the Crystal Empire, just before the crystal heart could blast him into a thousand pieces, King Sombra teleports away to save himself. And after a few months of hiding, when the empire isn't expecting him to attack, he takes over. And he keeps a yellow pegasus mare as his prisoner.

Rainbow Dash was accustomed to waking up in pain; being a Wonderbolt meant that at least some part of her was always sore. What she wasn't accustomed to was waking up in a cell in a world that's turned upside down.

In a place where everything seems wrong, she has to figure out just what she can trust. Is this a grand trick, or is this the world she's always known?

This is the rewrite of Sombra's tale, a mlp fanfiction. What if Twilight, after going home wakes up face to face with none other than King Sombra? What will happen next?

"I would say I was the king of darkness or former king of the crystal empire. But now, I am In a predicament where I have been transformed back to an infant, lost all my powers, and now sit next to the world's first alicorn baby."

"And to make matters worse, I must re-live my life from an infant without the blessing of my powers. Did I ask for this? NO! Do I want to go through with this? Absolutely not! Do I have a choice on the matter? Nope!"

Everything used to be perfect. Sombra was a happy foal, the world was great despite the high chance of freezing. But then it all disappeared. Ripped away in moments.
Sombra wasn't the villain, he was the victim taking revenge. And the sight of the frozen mountains bring back memories of what once was.

This is going to be a big story, but expect slow updates as I'm balancing 6th form with it. How joyful. Also the tags are the most prevalent ones, stuff like sex will appear but not only will it be very vague but it also doesn't happen that often. I will put a warning on the chapter its self. Same thing goes for profanity.

All the King's enemies are defeated, or are they? King Sombra shows his love for his wife, and together they have a child. They are full of happiness, but somepony has to ruin that happiness. Especially when his plans are ruined. This is the sequel to Alternate Ending Of The Beginning Of The End, Part-2.

One day when King Sombra went to Canterlot, he saw a beautiful mare. She was Luna, The Princess
Of The Night. As soon as he saw her, he fell in love with her. That night, while he was looking at the stars, that mare landed on his balcony. After spending some time with her, they become close. How will they ever be able to show their true love for each other? And how much longer can it be kept a secret? Celestia hates him, but Luna loves him.

Twilight Sparkle tries to reform King Sombra into a nice pony, when she finds his horn and takes it to Ponyville. But it is harder than expected. Twilight learns more about Sombra by talking to him and asking questions about his past. Will Twilight be able to reform Sombra, or will she have to banish him? And what happens when a villain falls in love with a princess?

Twilight has failed, or rather, she has succeeded. Her darkness is her power, and together with her husband, Queen Twilight has a new plan for all of Equis. The black castle rises to greater power than has ever been seen before. War is brewing while alliances are forged and others are broken. The days of harmony are dead and gone, and all the world will be forced to mobilize against the might of the Nightmare Hordes. Will they prevail in the faces of Wrath and Despair? Do they have any hope of someday returning to a time of peace and love?
