The comments are gone because of my fiddling with the powers that be (that is, removing chapters and reposting them after editing) a few years ago, when I had no idea of how Fimfic works. I don't remove comments willingly.

Edited and preread by the omniscient, omnibenevolent and omnipotent sourichan,
jeray2000 and JeffCvt.

Sometimes it is not the spoken word that allows one to be heard.

(Short one-shot done on the idea of speaking through silence)

The Spirit Pony is responsible for the End of All That Ever Was. It has always been so. This particular End looks like being a straightforward one – until a certain pink pony intervenes to prevent it happening. Pinkie has a very, very good reason for stopping the Spirit, too...

Now has a reading by... er... me! And another one by hystericaldominolego!
22/11/19: New! Dramatic reading by Scribbler, featuring Quirky Craft and Illya Leonov!

When Rainbow Dash tries to do thoughtful things for other ponies, it generally turns out pear-shaped. Which, of course, is what happens when a pony as unthoughtful as her tries to do such things.

But, hey, what's a bit of a mess when it comes to making food for one's friend? It shouldn't be that much of a bother, right?

Right?

My heartfelt thanks to Door Belle and Garnot, without whom the story would not have been legible (much less enjoyable).

The Filly Guides believe in three basic tenets:

Love your fellow mare.

Do onto others as you would have them do to you.

No filly left behind.

And somewhere between those three would be the rule that any Filly Guide must have all their basic merit badges by the end of their first year. Then again, that rule may be written between the lines of the welcome pamphlet they hand out at orientation. Who can say?

What can be said is that out of all the little fillies of Troop Two-Oh-One, Tag-A-Long has just one scout short of just one simple badge. Easy-peasy.

"Those of us who have a general overview and knowledge of King Sombra regard him to be a despotic autocrat, a power-hungry potentate and a vicious oppressor. And, even if this condemnation is justified, we may perhaps not have the right reason for this attribution. This is due to the fact that before King Sombra turned to the tyrant we all know him to be, he was the greatest knight of the Crystal Empire."
