Princess Twilight Sparkle has died a hero, but no one knows why.

And the rabbit hole only grows deeper from there.

The Crystal Ball Trilogy is a series of stories which deal with time travel, parallel universes, and other manipulations of time and space. Feedback is the first story; it is succeeded by Substitute and Divergence.

Set a few years into the future, this story focuses on the adventures of the older Cake Twins. Much like Friendship is Magic itself this story has no true conclusion, and is always ongoing so long as I have the ideas for it.

Six year old Pound and Pumpkin have grown up a little from the babies they used to be, but there is still much to learn about maturity, working together, and friendship. Working together they protect and love each other, and some days they can't stand each other and get into horrible fights. At the end of the day they always come back together, hating being away from their other half.

Pound is very impulsive, acting without thinking, and talking tough even when he can't back it up. He has no hesitation at attacking others for picking on his sister, insisting that's a privilege only he can enjoy. The unofficial leader, he's usually the one to think of idea's, and also the first to sulk or get depressed when things don't go his way.

Pumpkin is the more rational one, the voice of reason. However, she's still apt to go along with Pound's ideas simply because its better than being alone, and she doesn't want him to get hurt if she's not around.

Together they can overcome anything that comes their way.

Night after night, she sat at her desk, inscribing her tears and feelings into letters that would never reach the one for whom they were created. The hearth fire would take her secrets once more tonight, turning them to the wind to be carried off in a hazy smoke that tinted the air with its sorrowful scent.

Okay, I know this is a weird request, but because of weird coding, I'd like to request that you all read this in the "Light" setting for page color. It's up to you of course, but the coding is going to look pretty dang weird to you if you don't.

So, this was a writing challenge done in the hopes of getting my writer's block kicked to the curb. Character tags are off to avoid spoilers.... They will be added tomorrow since by then, well, the comments will no doubt have turned it into a late-arrival spoiler anyway.
(The challenge, BTW was "So, do Dilemma again, but this time, with FEEEEEEELSSS." So, if you have an issue with "feels" go take it up with my sister.)

Gummy is the best pet in the world! He always listens to me, never moans or complains when I talk too much, and always comes along with me without any resistance. Sure, he isn't much of a talker, but he's a really swell listener. Every day I spend with him is super fantastic!

Yet, Mr. and Mrs. Cake always look sad every time I play with Gummy. Those sillies! Don't they know that Gummy couldn't hurt me even if he wanted to? He's all gums! Duh! Even my friends have been showing "concerns" about my relationship with Gummy.

I don't know why they're being such party poopers all of a sudden!
