The Great and Powerful Trixie is finally the successful stage magician she always dreamed of becoming. However, she can't stop thinking about Ponyville and went wrong for her there. When she brings her new show to town to try and repair her image, the only pony that will accept her is Twilight Sparkle. A conversation leads to a bet, and the bet leads to attempting a mind-swapping spell that fails and traps both Trixie and Twilight in the former's body. Can the two magically gifted ponies get along, and can they keep the mishap a secret from Twilight's friends until a solution can be found?

Fluttershy wanted to be a pet.

Trixie wasn’t entirely sure what to do with that kind of weird information.

Neither was Fluttershy.

Contains: Mild Pet Play. (I know, what a shock.)

Inspired by Fluttershy's Anti-Adventures #21.
Coverart by Pencils

I couldn't resist writing this after seeing that adorable comic.

If by some horrible twist of fate you have not read Pencil's comics before, you should. Right now. Go on, I'll wait.

Edited and firmly critiqued by Phaoray

Standalone, set somewhere between Trixie's Forest Retreat and Trixie's Threeway Trouble.

Trixie has always envied Twilight Sparkle's magical ability, wishing she could match her talent one day. With the incident involving the Alicorn Amulet still fresh in her mind as though it was yesterday, Trixie sets out into the woods and practices a wide array of spells, accumulating magical knowledge along the way. Despite hours upon hours of practice, Trixie feels as though it's all hopeless.

However, one of her training sessions is interrupted by a lone traveler who calls herself Starlight Glimmer. Trixie tries to find out who Starlight is, but the latter pulls her along until she reaches a path with two options, both of which have their pros and cons. Such a difficult decision was the last thing she needed.

This story is a sequel to Actually, I'm Dead

After losing control of the Alicorn Amulet, the Elements of Harmony sealed Trixie inside an obsidian statue. She didn't refuse. She didn't fight back. Trixie gladly accepted her penance in order to keep her friends safe from her own demons.

But some things come back, even if they shouldn't.

Now Trixie has to figure out her own position in the great scheme. Yet as she does so, she will also have to protect her friends, and she doesn't know if she's strong enough.

Big Macintosh seeks help in realizing his greatest dream, but will anypony understand?

This story has been described as "creepy" and "disturbing" by some, though it was never intended to be like that. Still, I feel I should warn just in case. It is meant to be silly and random and not to be taken too seriously.

The Accursed Alicorn Amulet. An item of great power, capable of giving any pony wearing it the power reserved only for alicorns. The power of a god among mortals. All of that, only at one price; your sanity.

Not an easy decision, isn't it? Sure, a mind is something precious and all that, but the temptation of having such a power can be too much for certain ponies. It was too much for Trixie, and she fell for it. It's a good thing that Twilight Sparkle managed to save her from a life of insanity.

But, what would happen if Trixie's sanity wasn't the only price to pay? What else could the Amulet take from Trixie?
