This tale is a spiritual sequel to Three Second Chances, by popular request. It follows the spirit of that tale, but is not a direct follow-up and so no prior knowledge is required.

Anon-a-Miss succeeded. Sunset Shimmer no longer hangs out with her loved ones. One day, the creators of the account realize that Sunset doesn't show up for class. Worried, they went to her house and discovered sad news.

"Shining "Dantes" Armor has had a perfect life as a kind, devoted, caring, and loving stallion. Not only named general of the Equestrian Military, and given a ship of his own to command: But he's also set to marry the mare of his dreams, Cadenze "Cadence" Mercedes. The two of them, whose love proved stronger than even the elements of Harmony. Everything was perfect.

But then, because fate is unkind, and turns a blind eye to other's suffering, Dantes is betrayed by those whom he considered his closest friends. Framed for the crimes of treason, and murder, both of which he had not done, he is condemned to a nefarious prison for the rest of his days. All the while never understanding why he ended up here, and with his fiance' having no knowledge of this treachery. As the years follow, the both of them struggle to hold onto their love, and keep hope alive.

But how can you have hope when all you begin to know is anger? When your only reason for being changes from reuniting with the one you love to having revenge against those who wronged you? Can there be any such hope for redemption in the end? And what DOES such revenge cost? What price is one willing to pay to settle the old scores while pushing aside those who cared for you?

These are the questions which will burn in the mind of Shining Dantes when he breaks free, and amasses a mighty fortune hidden within a secretive isle. But one thing is for certain: the colt he was died in the prison he was trapped in. Now he goes by a new name, tying to the place where he found his treasure, and the beginning of his revenge began.

This is the story of The Count of Monte Cristo, who will learn what the price of revenge is, and find out if he can ever be the same as he was before."

This is a parody of "The Count of Monte Cristo" starring Spike the Dragon. When the dragon is presumed dead by his friends, but is in reality given a chance at a brand new exciting life, a whole new world opens up for the dragon. With a new name, and wealth beyond measure, Spike hopes to get revenge on those who wronged him, and become worthy of the love of his life, Rarity.

Author's Note: I LOVED "The Count of Monte Cristo"! It was just incredible! You have to read the book, or at least see a movie. Of course, this isn't an exact parody (No prison, no treasure hunt, and a few other things), also, I don't exactly remember the book word for word anyway. However, I do believe that you will enjoy this fan fic, whether you like or have read the book or not.

A long, exhausting journey by sea comes to an end as the Venturer, a merchant ship, approaches the docks of Baltimare. On board are ponies such as as Edmond Dash, the first mate of the vessel, and Danglarjack, an equally ambitious as mysterious mate.

Edmond in particular is grateful to be home at last. His heart yearns for his soulmate, Shycedes, a beautiful mare who had lost both her parents in a tragic incident one year ago, living her life as an orphan ever since.

But in his hurry and eagerness to meet up with both family and loved one, he turns a blind eye on those that wish him harm.

The next days will be joyful for him, that may be certain, but his enemies don’t rest, and they won’t show pity.

This story is quite obviously heavily inspired by the ‘The Count of Monte Cristo’ musical and the animatics of the musical, created by Ink Potts. This also means that most of the Mane Six are playing male roles in this story, as they did in the animatics.
This is not an exact replica of the story, however, and will vary in various places and outcomes.

After watching another majestic night, Twilight is told to make a wish because wishing on a star always grants wishes. She refuses. After all, it's only an old pony's tale. Climbing into bed, she has a strange dream, yet little does she know, dreams are the desires and wishes of the heart. Upon her waking, she may just find that the stars are rather lenient in their rules and methods.

Spike Solaris is just trying to live a normal teenage life with his mother Celestia, his aunt Luna and his friends, but only one problem; His father is the ruler of all dragons who wants to take over the world from the humans. Balancing a normal life while keeping the secret that he is half dragon from his friends is bad enough, throw in a power hungry 300 foot tall dragon as a father and that's only the tip of the iceberg on Spikes hectic life.

Strong, fast, impossibly white teeth, the hero All Might is the lone pillar that holds up his world. And perhaps this hero can show her how to be that lone pillar.

Or perhaps she will show him why one pillar cannot stand alone.
