Because even though I said this story version of "The Count of Monte Cristo" was a combo of book and movie, I liked it better when the two got back together because of her undying devotion to Edmond in the film. More specifically, i’m replacing Spoiled Rich with Principle Cinch to be Villefort’s wife. To be honest, those two seem like a more fitting match than my original pairing. Given both Cinch, and Neighsays’s personalities pre-school raze, i could see them getting on rather well......to an extent. It's not that I can't handle writing it, or anything. Trust me: i could keep going if i kept at it. But that's kind of my weakness: motivation. If I don't feel motivated to do something, then I lose interest, and any project I end up working on dies in the water. And my motivation is the input of other folks, and their opinions on what I do. Ordinarily, and apparently by tradition, Fernand Mondego is the primary antagonist in the story of "The Count of Monte Cristo". And I guess I can see why that is: he's Edmond's main rival for the affections of Mercedes. And the 2002 film certainly made him into a nefarious adversary. Now, i'm sure some might have considered the last few chapters a bit of a downer. and I don't blame them. But unfortunately, that's just how grim the old story could get. And yet, that still doesn't stop me from the enjoyment of writing this series. Especially knowing that come next chapter, things are beginning to look up. Things will get a little brighter as Abbe Faria appears to restore hope to Dantes' heart. And i'm looking forward to writing that chapter, i assure you.:)

Was it good? Was it bad? Did you like it? Did you hate it? Was there anything that might have been up for improvement? Or was it fine as it was? I only ask because noone's said anything, and I have no idea if I was any good. That's gonna ruin my confidence a little bit, sad to say. But I sincerely DO hope you enjoyed it. After a while, I finally looked up the military rankings in the army - which is the basis for the rankings in this story. And for the sake of accuracy, I decided to have Shining Dantes be a Colonel, with Sombra being Lieutenant Colonel. At least so his promotion doesn't seem all THAT ridiculous, seeing as how his rank was waaaay too far down to be close enough for general. So, that's a thing. Hope you all have a good evening.:)
