I can't thank you enough for making this story. This quarantine has been nothing but hell, and a story inspired by one of my favorite films is exactly what the doctor ordered (no pun intended). While there are a couple errors, I love the story so far. Keep it up!
I love this concept, but I hope that Trixie learns the same lesson Joker did, that no matter the hell you put someone through, you can't excuse your actions by saying that 'Anyone can become a monster like me!'. In Joker's case, he failed to break Gordon or Batgirl, but maybe Trixie'll do better.

Well, I got to say you doing quite well, CK, besides a few minor grammar errors a little here and there. Its nothing to get too worried about.
All in all you're on a good running start and so far it's being well received by the growing audience. So here's hoping for the next chapters being as equally as good. So with that said, I'll leave you with this.

I was honestly rooting for Trixie in Magic Duel because of this episode. It's a real shame the writers aimed her hatred towards Twilight when she didn't really do anything to piss her off, if anything she should've have went for those three as well as Snips and Snails(the latter two are the one thing that episode did right).
Do horns grow back in this story is what I figured twilight was trying to tell trixie?

naw, based on the irrational behavior of every pony except twilight, there's hints of something far more sinister lurking in the background. even in season 1, fluttershy wouldn't be laughing due to the cruelty of the situation.
This is season 1 mane-six, I can only see them doubling down on their bad habits since they haven't learned the lesson of 'not kicking someone when they're down'.

Well, I don't know about Snips and Snails both are just colts who knew no better or knowing that Trixie was just putting on a show for the audience and not meant to be taken seriously. However they are the town idiots.

As with Twilight Sparkle.....I hate to say this, but she is just as guilty. Those three were her best friends she could've speak up or stop them before any of what happened on stage could escalated lending to the tragic events unfolded before them. but no she didn't,...because she was too afraid or self conscious of what her friends would think of her.
Hell, she didn't even try to defend Trixie from her friends or the townsfolk. So whatever happens from here on out is on her as well.

STILL, Celestia would be PISSED that they would being cruel to Trixie, DESPITE being the "Elements of Harmony", and into "Friendship is Magic". ESPECIALLY causing Trixie's Brother to die in the hospital. An FRICKIN Kid/Colt DIED because of this!!!!! how is she going to know, the whole town fucked over trixie so whose going to tell her. Let's say the mane six find out they caused trixie's brother's death by denying her payment. This twilight isn't going to write a letter about it, applejack is too stubborn to admit she's wrong, rainbow dash's ego won't allow her to apologize, rarity would blame others, fluttershy needs to learn to assert herself as she's too timid, and pinkie pie knows and can do as much about the plot as the author allows. IF the town fount out about causing the death of a foal, then they'd cover it up to not look bad to celestia if she came to visit to visit her student. Then again there is princess luna, wait she's still weakened from getting nightmare moon cleansed from her.

I'm firmly hoping for option 2 just need to write away any chance of them being redeemed. Just like in a horror movie where the characters are unlikable so you root for them to die.

I call that a bit BS! They CAN'T cover that up FOREVER!!!!! Besides, Applejack is BETRAYING her element of Honestly, so they should be Spiritual Consequence for that. I also DON'T think Twilight will keep that CRAZY and HORRIBLE Secret like that to Celestia. ( Plus, she DIDN'T hurt Trixie in the First Place, even though she didn't stop the abuse, or even help Trixie for the money. AT LEAST she is LESS Guilty than the other Three: Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Rarity.)
P.S. It they CAN'T tell her. What If, when Trixie goes on a Killing Spree like the Joker, and when Celestia ( With Luna, and Royal Guards) meet her to put a stop to his massacre. Celestia could just say WHY is she doing this. Trixie would just say "WHY DON'T ask your 'Precious Student and her friends', they took a Precious someone from me, and CAUSED me to turn into the way I am now".
Even though Trixie will PUNISHMENT/Kill the Mane Six herself. What BETTER way to hurt them really mentally, is to show Celestia, the Mane Six's Sins, and the CAUSE of her poor Brother's Death, and turning Trixie into her Joker Persona.

Too right. They may be bearers of the elements of harmony. But as normal ponies they are seriously fallible and flawed. Not to mention Applejack, RD, and Rarity should be a ashamed and deserve what's coming to them. Because let's face it, what if it was one of the CMC in Trixie's brother place?
Applejack already lost both of her parents, so the idea of losting Apple Bloom, would've been too much for her. Not to mention the idea that she was responsible for causing a foal's death. She can deny all she wants and completely bury herself in her work. But eventually the sheer guilt is going to effect her both physically and mentally.
As for RD, her damnable ego and foolish pride is not going to do her any favors. If anything it's going to cost her any chances of joining the Wonderbolts. Because there is no way in Tartarus they're going to allow a pegasus responsible for a foal's death to join their ranks. The public backlash alone would severely ruined their image and reputation. Especially considering half of their fan base are colts and fillies.
As for Rarity....she can pretty much give up any hope of making it big in both the fashion world and the high society of Equestria. No pony in any high position of society or business, be they noble or celebrity is only to touch her with a 10 foot pole. Because who wants to buy a dress or suit from a child killer. Least they want their reputation get dragged through the mud.
As for the entire town of Ponyville, good luck trying to covering up this mess from Princess Celestia. An alicorn who had rule their kingdom for over 1000 years and is one of the most powerful magic users in the land. Who may or may not have multiple ways of founding out, if a town is hiding something from her.
Sorry, if I sounds like rambling, but all I'm saying they're only preventing the inevitable.

You know, it’s kind of funny, a month or two ago I was actually thinking if Trixie had a bad past and the events of boast busters and magic duel went down. I realized that it would have been very plausible for Trixie to break mentally. That train of thought actually led me to wish for someone to create a story in which Trixie becomes a joker equivalent. Because a lot of themes from Batman, at first glance, seem like it would never fit in with a story as happy as mlp, but on closer inspection would fit in very well. Like Trixie becoming joker and the like. Must say, big fan of the “Killing Joke”, loved the philosophical nature of it.

I just wish Twilight Sparkle could of stopped this. But for now, I don't care less about of what happens to Rainbow Dash, Applejack and Rarity.
I'm really enjoying this story. It's a dark and twisted alternate ending to Trixie's debut episode while at the same time it's a parody of one of my all-time favorite films, Joker. When I read that Sunspot died, my heart dropped like a stone. Then again, that's what normally happens when a character I care about passes away (even if it's fake). At some points, I even CRIED when some fictional characters died, even if some were still alive but the plot makes you THINK they pass away. I'm a very emotional person. I also love the gothic horror tone in this story. It makes the story disturbing, but in a good way.
