Was surprised by the ending, didn't see it coming at all. Worked really well with the diary format. And loved the details, like the friendship bracelets.

There was no real way to organically mention this, but Spoiled Rich is kind of a non-issue. At some point, she split from Filthy Rich, and Diamond doesn't really talk to her much these days. I sort of alluded to it near the end there.
Yeah, she's referring to her mom here. That said, in my head, Spoiled did go to the wedding, even if she was kind of bitchy the whole time. She did get them some nice wedding gifts, some expensive silverware and champagne and stuff, which is kinda her way of showing that she cares for DT despite the two butting heads. (none of this is really "canon", but this is how I imagine it)

I think part of it I spent a lot of time hating Diamond Tiara. Now that you realize she is a decent person/pony and her mother is basically the problem, I think it makes stories like this enjoyable because they fit the character.

I always hated Diamond Tiara, but in a good way. You were supposed to hate her, and it was very easy to do so. She was awful as a pony, but incredible as a character. And they redeemed her, which is fine, but I really do miss DT just being a little shit to everyone.

Honestly I want to see where she has progressed. They did that one episode with her and the crusaders and then nothing. I would love to see her and Silver Spoon again with some sort of team up with the Crusaders. Just to see how she is doing. I don't know, may be they have enough of bad girls gone good with Starlight Glimmer and Sunset Shimmer (who are both awesome).
Not bad, i like it... but if your doing a dairy entry story, it really helps to date them... so we have an idea of the passage of time without having to revile on the 'writer' of the dairy to say so.

Originally, I planned to date it, but, for some reason, I couldn't decide what year would be appropriate. I know that sounds silly, but nothing I tried looked right or made sense. At the end of the day, I didn't think the date much mattered anyway, so I left it out. Hope it didn't detract from the story too much.
Awww, this was cute! I think I especially loved the little bits where Diamond is being her typical, snarky self ("I'm so mad I could scream/I screamed and now I'm grounded for being uncouth"), and I really liked the addition of Applebloom's dyslexia. All-in-all, I'd say the story was well paced, beautifully developed, and super in-character--good luck for the contest!

I really liked this a lot. It feels very in character for DT (which is pretty important given it's a diary fic), like a slower burn version of her transformation in canon. I could easily see it being the way the EqG Diamond becomes friends with the Crusaders. And that's not even talking about how masterfully you pulled off the warm fuzzy feelings. Good job!
