Nicely done. Intelligently written, although the last plot twist came somewhat out of nowhere, it still made sense with what else has happened. Also, I was expecting the conflict between Twilight and Pinkie to be a little more sustained, and for the election tilting back in favor of the current mayor because of mismarked ballots.

I like it. Politics is funny thing - you don't want to be mayor but you forced to, so may as well enjoy the ride.. Glad to see Twi was level-headed and didn't throw Mayor out. But next year she'll totally have expirience from all vice-mayor work, so beware, Mayor Mare!

Nicely done, mate. The one thing that really nailed it for me is the debate, how Twilight had a slightly rough start, and how she came up with simple solutions to the problems addressed. I don't know it just really made the story for me.

You might want to consider double spacing with each paragraph, such as after one character speaks, double space then have the other character say her line. Otherwise, this is looking good so far.
Quite a disappointing ending here. I would think Twilight would have known about this obscure statute regarding her not being eligible to run for mayor in the very beginning. Also, given that Twilight finished first, shouldn't she be the mayor and Mayor Mare be the Vice-Mayor having finished in second? I'm kind of torn here, I like the story as a whole but the ending makes Twily look like a doormat, well that and the only friend of Twilight's who was truly loyal was of course, Rainbow Dash. What the hay, you still get an upvote.
I'm glad they both got a happy ending, and I really enjoyed this story!
