SoothingCoffee

Coffee. Coffee is life. Coffee is death. Coffee is God. Long live Coffee.

T

Bad things happen. Good things too, but mostly bad things. Sometimes, your wagon gets destroyed by a giant bear. Sometimes, you make a bad reputation in some town you promise to never visit. Sometimes, you compulsively splurge most of your savings on some fancy-looking trinket that you won't even wear. But getting sucked by a fiddlestinking portal to another world?

Well, not unless your name is Trixie.

I think story you have here. I will track this to see where it will go. Also about halfway through the whole story goes bold, you may want to fix that.

This was really fun to read! Even if I don't share your apparent love of coffee, I think I'll certainly have a look at your other stories!

So I wonder how Louise is going to react when she finally finds out how smart Trixie is and the fact that she is a showmare? This will be one rocking adventure for both of these lovable misfits.

7667827

Who is this Louise, and where is she from? I'd like to check it out, sometime?

Is this Louise with the alicorn amulet? That's certainly a new one.

7667953 Zero no Tsukaima(?) otherwise known as The Familiar of Zero. Its an Anime/light novel series that came out years ago. Pretty good if you don't mind the typical "Random average Japanese teen pulled into an adventure, given special powers and becoming the love interest of multiple girls" type stories.

7668468

The first thing that comes to mind after they description is Sword Art Online. :rainbowhuh:

I'm favoriting and following to see where this goes and I feel bad for Trixie and Louise.

7668476 Also, typical violent tsundere trope to a point in the anime where many viewers think "this wouldn't be considered 'funny' if the genders were swapped".

^ Yep, this. With the addition of slavery, which is not cool. Familiar of Zero isn't exactly my favorite, but I sometimes like the fanfic crossovers where Louise gets snubbed.

7668980 I know. Same here. Once wrote a snippety one shot of Nightmare Moon conquering this new world after her patience was worn thin enough.

7668980

To be fair, of all worlds with slavery, ZnT is definitely the tamest of them all. Heck, I don't think slavery is even allowed -- though I may be wrong -- there. Saito is simply an outlier: he's a human, but also a familiar; a pet. And Louise wasn't the most mind-healthy of people, considering her failures -- enough so that she got a runic name for it -- the pressure by her peers, and her family, and also her own desperate yearning to prove that she wasn't just some overlyglorified peasant.

And it doesn't help that Saito was being idiotic about the whole thing, and was literally asking for punishments.

7668980 Eh, I don't really like the stories that snub or bash Louise. Yes she is a violent tsundere with jealousy issues but it makes sense when you think about it.

She is a teen girl with a distant father, an uncompromising and unsupportive mother who originally had unreasonably high expectations that have shifted into resigned disappointment, an older sister who seeks to emulate her mother and thus treats her little sister in a similar manner, another older sister who, while kind, is also sickly and possibly dying, schoolmates who constantly mock, belittle and insult her for her problems with controlling magic, teachers who do little to nothing to support her or otherwise help with said bullying, no friends, and severe problems with her body image due to still looking like a prepubescent girl. There have been adults WITH caring friends and family who have killed themselves for less!

Drop onto that Saito, a random teen boy from Japan who knows nothing about the customs and society that he has been dropped into, is argumentative and stubborn, constantly stirs up or gets involved in trouble, AND is yet another avenue by which her peers can bully and tease her, and it is really no wonder that she acts the way she does.

For that reason I typically read stories that, if any bashing is involved, bashes the characters other than Louise.

Yes, Trixie is not just gonna stsy there and get a magical slave brand.

And then pink head wakes up as a pony.

Holy shait! Really? A Zero no Tsukaima crossover? I never thought I'd see the day! Now to read!

"I should talk to the Headmaster about her mother."

A zero no tsukaima crossover... wow, just wow.

I have never seen nor heard of whatever this is a crossover with.
That's ever stopped me from liking a story before, so it won't now.

To be honest, I never would have thought I would ever see a crossover between mlp:fim and Zero no Tsukaima, let's see how it goes. (Although, if that lemon-sucking pope from the last season shows up...
Well, let's hope he dies quick)

I feel very sorry for Louise here she not only screwed up her summoning but it rejected her and took off. Now her class thinks she faked her summoning and she has nobody she can turn to. She really needs to meet Trixie and they need to talk.

ah i see... it's trixie instead? interesting... i've yet to see season 4 of zero no tsukaima tho.

Interesting, some major typos - 'adopted son' - not daughter.

Ooh, this is interesting, does this mean Saito is a no show? Glad to hear about Colbert so soon in the story, you can always count on him in a "firefight".... I'm sorry:fluttercry:

This was one major thing I liked about saito, he didn't give a crab apple about whether or not you were noble or a peasant, if you were a jerk saito would disrespect you, but if you were a good person then he was a decent guy and a strong ally. Hmm, if Louise forms a contract with trixie, does that mean she will be gandalfr?

Hill of Swords is still the gold standard for Familiar of Zero crossovers IMHO. And it's funny that I have read tons of them while never bothering with the source material, but I think it shows that there is a good foundation there if you replace all the anime harem nonsense with like actual character development and world building.

7670455 That's what i liked about him the most to. Something i do personally as well. So that made his character relatable to me at least.

I'm loving this so far and I can't wait for more.

There are so many ways this story could go, and I can't wait to find them out.:yay:
I hope zerbst( was that the red head's name?) doesn't try to take trixie from Louise (thought I doubt she swings that way), there are so many questions I want ask in regards to the main story line of the anime, but at the same time I want to be surprised with the direction you go in the future chapters. Best of luck and have fun writing!

7670371 I don't think this the type of displacement fic that you think (not in the sense of involving a certain merchant or anything similar), the only "displacement" going on in this story is how trixie is transported to another planet/universe, sans magical macguffin/cosplay item.

7670477

What? You do not like Overlady?

Male. Ginger, and lacking in soul.

You had won me right there.

Oh this is going to blow up so magnificently :rainbowlaugh:

Hey, just wanted to say congrats for the featured story! It's really good, looking forward to how it progresses.

-Sugar Quill

Ah, I remember that anime like it was yesterday. Definitely reading this later.

You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink.
You can lead a horticulture but you can't make her think.
:rainbowlaugh:

“At the very least, could I check inside the wagon? It seems

Something is missing here. The sentence start at "It seems", but is not completed.

7668468 Don't forget the BDSM Tsundere and the Mark with magicial brainwashing.

Very good intro, you certainly picked my interest.

and so continues the cherished tradition

*waves hand about frantically*I do!Ido!

the anime is not fit for human consumption but the light novel supposedly does have some
Hill of Swords is a travesty though.

Really good work so far, will be looking forward to future updates. :raritywink:

I WILL READ THE FUCK OUT OF THIS SHIT
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Zero no Tsukaima had a lot of firsts for me in the world of anime

As I love both of these, this crossover was very welcome. You captured all the characters extremely well and this is a rather unique way of going about the plot. Poor Louise though. Hope it works out for her soon.:fluttershysad:
