Queen Chrysalis is the leader of the changelings, who feed on the love that other ponies feel for them. We have only seen her for two episodes in season 2 and has not yet returned to the show. Chrysalis is a character with little to no background about her, not even Celestia says anything about past relations. With the show not satisfying the need to give some backing to Chrysalis, we created our own backstory about her. So let's read on about the tale of corruption from a filly unicorn to the Queen of the changelings.

This story is a sequel to Kingdom Hearts 2.7: Friendship Is Magic

This day was suppose to be perfect
The kind of day of which I dreamed since I was small
But now we've made a mistake
There's no wedding, dancing, or cake,
This day should have never happened at all...

It was suppose to be the best day for everyone, where Princess Cadenza Mi Amore and Captain Shining Armor were suppose to get married. Unfortunately, things ended so badly, where the bride turned out to be a wicked Changeling Queen who nearly took over Equestria, but the love of the two banished the Queen and her Hive far far away.
However, it came with a terrible price. Twilight Sparkle, the faithful student of Princess Celestia, was the first to know something was wrong. But no pony listened to her, and after a failed desparate attempt, Twilight was cast out of the wedding by her brother, and her friends and mentor abandoned her in her time of need, planting the seeds of darkness in her heart.
Now, though the threat has come to an end, Twilight Sparkle lashes out at her friends and brother, and turns them away in pain and anger. Unable to forgive her friends, and herself, Discord, who is on the verge of breaking free from his prison, convinces the unicorn to abandon friendship, leading her down a road to a dark path, to awaken an evil that was sealed away long ago, and to make matters worse, a Crystal Kingdom has emerged in the North, along with an wicked unicorn who wants to burn it all to the ground.
Meanwhile, it has been months since Master Xehanort's end. Things have gotten back to normal, except for Sora. He has been out of place lately, which many believe is Post Traumatic Stress from the Climatic Battle. He says that he's fine... but maybe he's not. But the magic in the universe is fading away, which brings him, Donald, and Goofy back into action. They are tasked by Yen Sid to head south of Equestria and find Twilight Sparkle and restore the connection of the Elements of Harmony, while Riku and King Mickey go north to investigate the Crystal Empire.
But a great shadowy evil has awakened, with Maleficent and Pete taking this opportunity to take over Equestria, with help from a strange individual who is looking for something in the Land of Ponies.
Can our heroes save Equestria and stop the darkness? Can Sora find Twilight and restore the magic of friendship, but can he also conquer his inner demons and come to terms with his own struggles?
Join them on this epic adventure filled with musical songs from My Little Pony and other famous musical classics and movies. It will have magic, drama, comedy, action, chaos... and of course, Friendship!

Despite the MLP characters and disney characters included, the story is rated T for the Fantasy Violence, Comic Relief, and Animated Blood, with Mild Language included.
Keep in mind that this is also an AU, so the story both follows and doesn't follow the ending of Kingdom Hearts III. You'll see when more of the story is posted.

Anyway, hope you guys enjoy the story!
May your hearts be your guiding key!

Author's Message: This is my first story and the idea came to mind after I saw a few pictures with the Mane Six as superheroes (before the Power Ponies episode that came out today). I know that the description might not be forthright in saying that this is sort-of a DC Comics crossover, but in reality, the Mane Six are based off of several characters within the DC Comics Universe that have been combined to form the powers and base of the origin story for all of the characters, both Canon and OC. What I've noticed though is in creating these "superhero personas", they also contain elements similar to Marvel characters and others.
While the prologue might not give in great detail the story of the Mane Six, I promise that all will be explain in due time. The pace of the story might feel slow at first, but I feel that to set a solid foundation in order to tell the story better. The story will follow the events in the show as well as creating parallels between some major story arcs within the DC Universe. Additionally, the story will contain general elements found within several comic book stories such as love (expect some shipping), death (expect a possible dark tag), power, and responsibility.
Since I said this is my first story, I will gladly accept any constructive criticism and possible ideas that you share for future chapters. I hope you enjoy the story.

Chapters (7)
E

Continues right after Chrysalis is expelled, Celestia, and a few of the Mane Six begin to find things that quickly generate a conspiracy altogether about HOW the Changeling Queen could have caught wind of the wedding, and how to infiltrate it without being discovered.

For a while, Celestia is given false prophets, and demands, such as her giving up the crown, and the throne. While she refuses, she also neglects to take the entire situation too seriously... as she believes Chrysalis was the biggest threat, and denies the possibility of something far greater looming over her head. Despite this she intends to go on with the daily life, and ultimately get to the medal Ceremony dedicated to Shining Armor for so many years of Captain's duty. The ceremony takes place only a few weeks after the wedding.

However it becomes apparent that that is not true. As the reader is completely aware of a Dark Entity who calls itself "The Dark Soveriegn" or "Dark Soveriegn" "Lord Sovereign", and so on. He is the true entity of evil. Instead of love, he feeds of negative emotion like hate, jealousy, and misery. However, he lacks Chaos, as Choas itself is a neutral foe... seeing as in the series, Chocolate Rain, and Cotton Candy clouds are not exactly true bouts of the darkest will.

Umek/Dark Sovereign turns out to have a very old room inside Canterlot Palace, which Rainbow Dash, and Fluttershy discover, giving the reader time to assume he has lived in Canterlot before... many many years ago, as the place is entirely ruined. The reader learns that the day this occurs, the ceremony is only hours away.

While everyone is assumed to be present with Shining Armor(And Cadence as well) In Ceremony Plaza... Pinkie Pie is the only pony to be late... she is wandering about Canterlot with her own innocent mischief, and planned to be just on queue for when the activity started. She is cut short by a twitch in her cutie mark, something she has never felt before... she can only assume something terrible is about to happen, and rushes to the PAlace.

You learn this is correct, as at one of the less important entrences to Canterlot, is not as heavily guarded. an OC whom you meet earlier in the story, Solster Fire, distracts the guards away from the gate, and leads them off... to hit them with a sleeping bomb... knocking them unconcious, and allowing two other OCs Black Knight, an Scare Crow, two mercenary Zebra's one having an intense grudge on Shining Armor for a reason that is not admitted until early in part 2. They open the gates, and Black Knight dispatches rather easily, the last colt of the gate guards, implying he has a record for being incredibly efficient in combat. HE has a magical weapon that is not revealed until part 2

It is with the act of these three equines, that Dark Sovereign is able to waltz through Canterot like an average citizen despite being nearly as tall as Celestia... he stands out, yet he appears as an ancient, and weak old man... He is accumpanied by Twilight's rival... The Great and Powerful Trixie, who has alligned herself with Sovereign in order to show ALL of Equestria she is stronger than Twilight Sparkle... she is also earlier in the story.

When they enter Canterlot palace, the guards have already been quietly dispatched where need be... and Sovereign merely walks in... he ressurects the numerous statues in the grand hall... creating a small army of tough moving stone ponies. And finally interupts the Medal Ceremony even while Pinkie Pie tries o warn everyone of the impending doom.

The story cuts out at "Welcome Home", and immediately jumps to part 2

Chrysalis has a more major part in the second part, Part 2
