Have you ever wondered how pony names somehow always accurately relate to the identity of the pony in question? Well, that's all thanks to the efforts of one stallion. And he hates his job.

Name Rater has always had a very unique skill: the ability to gauge the talents of others at a glance. And once this became known, everypony began to depend on his guidance, much to his chagrin. This is his story, a tale of great self-sacrifice and even greater grumpiness.

And no, this has nothing to do with Pokémon, the name is just fitting.

Rarity is not feeling like herself. Her experiences with sadness were usually intense and loud, but brief. Not this time. After a chance encounter with a customer, powerful melancholy grips her, unlike anything she has experienced before. She feels empty, hopeless, and miserable.

The newest threat to harmony comes from above: the sun and the moon themselves. 

It's Equestria's Golden Age of Harmony, and the amulet Princess Twilight Sparkle used for decades to start the day and the night is starting to fail. Moving the sun and moon across the horizon grows more and more difficult with every passing day. If a solution isn't found soon Equestria will be condemned to eternal day or night, never changing again.

Hope remains, though, as Twilight looks to the only two ponies in Equestria who might have answers about the sun and moon. It remains to be seen if she is ready to hear those answers, or to do what must be done to maintain harmony.
