While investigating a string of violent crimes in Canterlot, detective Gro'gar—a pony of sordid past and uncertain future—stumbles upon a conspiracy that reveals one of the nation's oldest evils is raising once again.

Now, together with a young Shining Armor and a former cultist filly much like himself, he'll have to uncover the terrible truth before the shadowy cabal makes its next deadly move in their bid for control. A short story depicting the attack on the Capital of Equestria where American Gunships come from mysterious circumstances and assist the ponies from the Storm Kings Army.

The helicopters described are from the Vietnam War. The year from Earth is 1968. Just to clarify that this is not an alternate universe of Vietnam.

What makes a monster? Is it a ghastly, twisted form? A host of unnatural abilities? Perhaps a compulsion to inflict injury upon those that surround it?
Fresh off of her ordeal in Our Town, Twilight Sparkle is faced with this very question when a mare she thought she knew reveals herself to be a creature stepped right out of the nightmares of ponykind. However, this monster, if indeed she is one, has no interest in harming the princess. All she wants is to tell her story, and what a story it is. . .

Coming from a broke and broken family, I never kept high hopes for anything. When my mother died and I moved out of the house, finally making a life of my own, I decided to treat myself. I had a few grand saved up for a rainy day, and I was going to use them to go to E3, video games were one of the few things that kept me sane before and now. That and MLP, but with the show on hiatus, again I figured it would be fun. I got a pretty good Reaper costume. I rarely played him in Overwatch, but I liked his backstory and character. Riding to E3 in a train was kinda fun dressed as him, mainly since I was not the only one dressed up. When I got to E3 I got the usual, games, little trinket things, then I came across what was a sad looking stall, but there was a pair of really good looking guns Reaper carried, and my costume didn't come with those, so naturally I bought them. When I tried them out by myself in the bathroom, my luck, the lights went out...and I was falling...Okay someone spiked my cherry root beer!

Sol is a Vanguard Titan Pilot in the Militia SRS, Maurader Corps. When he and his partner, BK-3891, are sent to retrieve the Grizzly Device Jack Cooper left at the IMC research facility, bad timing and an ambush leads to them being stranded in a barren desert with no life for miles around. How will they get back to the Frontier?

Takes place after Season 3, any episodes after season 3 will not affect this story, just makes it easier to shape the story (I stuffed up with Twilight's castle being in the story, but that is part of the story now, so I added an AU tag)
