An alternate version of "Ponyville Confidential", but unlike my first two stories, this one actually begins towards the end of the episode, and will also be published in four parts. Inspired by Splash Surfer 216's "Ponyville Runaways", this is a concept that I think would've made a great two-part (or even three-part) story arc for the series. The Cutie Mark Crusaders, feeling no longer welcome in Ponyville after being exposed as Gabby Gums, decide that the only thing left for them is to run away from home. How will their friends, and family react when they realize what's happened? And what will happen with Diamond Tiara?

I mean no disrespect to the people responsible for the show, nor do I claim ownership of My Little Pony. I also DO NOT claim credit for Splash Surfer 216's work. I just loved his idea, and wanted to do my own version. This fanfic is purely for fun, and is simply my opinion.

Note from author: Some of you may remember my botched first attempt at this story, and again, I apologize for that, especially to Splash Surfer 216. I honestly didn't mean for that to happen. The truth is, I jumped the gun when I published it the first time, and didn't realize how much I'd messed up until after I did so. I sincerely hope that this time will be different.

One of the many reasons the Cutie Mark Crusaders have their reputation is the group's tendency to ignore whatever the adults are saying -- or worse, to hear just enough to get them in trouble. So when Cheerilee finally covers pony sexuality on a warm, lazy, sleepy day, the trio come away with exactly enough notes to collectively believe the following:

Ponies going into heat is real.
They'll never be interested in sex at any other time.
They're going into heat once, for an hour and a half, and it's going to happen tomorrow.

This can only end well.

THIS IS A SIMILAR BUT DIFFERENT UNIVERSE. I wrote this, starting during late Season 2, so I had to make judgment calls based on the information I had. As such, certain episodes thereafter do not match up, or fit in different places. Consequently, it is a very similar alternate universe. Many events happen in both this and the show timeline, but do not always match. I tried to stay consistent when possible, but certain things were lost to disagreements in interpretation. I like how I wrote my story and will not force it to match what came after I started writing. I've also decided to consider this fluidly finished. I still seem to make updates, but I no longer guarantee them.

Trixie's Pilgrimage of Penitence (working title) wasn't supposed to be perfect. In many respects, the entire point of the tour had been to exhibit how the former showboat had changed for the better, even if that meant deliberately performing sub-par lest she be accused of boastfulness. Trixie had planned for almost everything to go wrong.

One thing she hadn't counted on was a dangerous lapse into depression, leading her to perform the Moonshot Manticore Mouth-Dive as the opening act without any safety measures. And while everything turned out more or less fine, the local newspapers are going to have a field day with this story.

Unless, of course, a credible source can swoop in and convince them she wasn't in any danger.

While preparing to host lunch for the Apple Family for tomorrow's Hearthswarming Day, newlyweds Babs Seed and Featherweight continue to get lost between fond memories of each other and what step they were on in the recipe.
