Every time Luna falls asleep, her lover vanishes. Every morning, she must find who he's replaced.

Sex tag for allusions to sex off-screen and mentions of stallion's equipment. You know the drill. Better safe than sorry.

Written for Zontan as part of a Christmas fic exchange. The prompt he gave was "I want a story about a sympathetic villain protagonist. Tempest, Nightmare Moon, Starlight, Chrysalis, etc - so long as they're out there doing villainous things for good reason."

This story is a sequel to The Second Pony in Space

Long ago, Starswirl the Bearded created a time travel spell. Nopony has ever traveled through time without the use of that spell. Except for one.

Rainbow Dash has returned to Equestria, and nothing makes sense. She knows the pegasus that visited her, but if Rainbow had been gone for ninety two years, she should be dead. And she knows that purple unicorn, but she should be an alicorn and look different. Her dragon should look different too.

But Nightmare Moon returns, and Rainbow and her new friends need to go obtain the Elements of Harmony to stop her from causing eternal night. But Rainbow doesn't want to send Princess Luna back to the moon again, and needs to show why she represents the Element of Loyalty.

Loyalty isn't always easy for everypony, but maybe Rainbow can make it look like it is...

This is the second story in the Shadow-Dashverse. Reading the previous story is highly recommended to understand what's going on.

Luna is through with Celestia making excuses for why ponies don't show her the love and admiration she deserves as co-ruler of all Equestria.

But when a towering monster appears and tells Luna that she can bring her sister to heel and be properly appreciated, Luna remains wary. She is no fool like Sombra, to fall prey to the darkness.

But this "Nightmare Moon" knows too much. Who is she? Why does she bear Luna's mark? And why is she so confident about the course the future will take?

Yellow sun; wet, green planet; barren, dust-ball moon. When I saw the images from the surveyors, I knew instantly that this was the place where I'd set up my hermitage.

The captain told me there were intelligent creatures on the planet, but she doubted they would venture beyond the atmosphere for centuries. That meant I'd have the moon all to myself for six standard months before her ship came back to resupply me.

Six months of peace and contemplation with only the Increate and the sound of my heartsbeat to keep me company. No distractions, no neighbors, no mad aliens with their endless demands.

Solitude. Silence. Paradise.

Or so I thought.

This story is a sequel to The Definitive Guide to Pony Anatomy - Starring Princess Celestia and Princess Luna

'Do not trust an alicorn who weighs any less than her operating manual' - Author of this Guide

Sometimes your alicorn throws a temper tantrum and runs around the house turning off all the lights while declaring herself a new breed of adorable evilness. Sometimes sibling squabbles leave you with a tearful alicorn refusing to raise the moon and allow the day to end. Keep calm and read this guide. This guide will walk you through how to safely contain evil dark pony overlords using readily available household implements such as the humble cardboard box. And if all else fails, it will at least help you make effective use of the astrophysics of alicorn anatomy to manually override the raising, lowering and general joyriding of various celestial bodies.

Published by the Royal Canterlot Publishing House for the Royal Equestrian Diplomatic Mission to Earth. For human audiences only. No alicorns (or humans) were harmed in the making of this guide.

Contains: Princess Luna being generally mischievous and adorable for Hearthswarming Eve. Also contains cardboard. Surprisingly does not contain any bubblewrap for once.

This is a standalone story, but it does sort of have a 'previous episode' you can read here. Reading it is not required to enjoy this particular story, but it's a fun short read in its own right.

Sort of my Christmas fic. I decided to get it done early as I'll be working this Christmas. Again. Happy Hearthswarming, everyone!

Some days, she just wanted to wake up, and not have to deal with any of those things.

Sometimes ponies get their wishes in the most unexpected ways.
