It turns out that even she didn't notice her magic's capabilities for a while. But it can only stay under the radar for so long, given who's looking...

Those things are just about the only consistent elements at Canterlot High School.

Wallflower Blush decided to take some time to reflect. After school, she found herself working casually in the gardens. She didn't expect to be bothered. And she definitely didn't expect that bother to be Sunset Shimmer, which made it a possibly pleasant surprise. It might be good to have someone that's finally willing to listen. The fact it's Sunset makes it a bit ironic.

Forgiveness is usually a certainty in relation to Sunset Shimmer. So why is Wallflower having such a hard time?

Have you ever felt like you didn't really belong? Like no matter how hard you tried you'd never be able to fit in anywhere? After I lost the Memory Stone, Sunset and her friends told me I could finally have people around that cared, but I should have known better. Nothing was ever really going to change. I was always going to be cursed to a lifetime of being ignored and forgotten...

I was never going to be anyone but the odd one out.

It has been weeks since the destruction of the Memory Stone, and over this time, Sunset has been developing feelings for Wallflower as she and her friends help her become visible to the rest of the school.

Wallflower has also developed feelings for the girl she once hated, now knowing who she truly was after the Fall Formal, and admiring her just like everyone else at school.

However, despite sharing the same feelings, the girls still aren’t able to finally confess their love, so one day, Sunset decides that maybe a trip to Equestria could give them the courage to finally express their feelings.
But her plans run into an unexpected detour, into the Everfree Forest.
