Twilight becomes close friends with five other students: Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie Pie that also study in Canterlot Academy like her. Each of them represent a different facet of friendship, and Twilight discovers herself to be a key part of the magical artifacts known as the "Elements of Harmony". They must find a way to defeat Nightmare Moon and her own Nightmare Knights while working out problems that arise in their own friendships

Karl was a shut-in. He worked from home and had everything he needed delivered to him with his love saved for his video games and anime. On a whim, he entered a contest and he won.

His prize was a ticket to a convention and so, with a hastily made Reaper costume, Karl goes to his first ever convention. He is more than a bit annoyed at being pulled away from everything he knows to land in the middle of a village populated by talking magical ponies and their shadow like neighbors.

When said village is attacked, he finds his place a mung the Umbrum as one of their warriors but turning into Reaper was both a blessing and a curse. His actions will shape the future, whether he wants it to or not.

A run-in with a teenage magician was not on Aria's to-do list, but it seems that "fate" has other plans. Now she just has to find a way to get this annoying girl off her back.

... but that becomes kinda hard when she's not sure if she even wants that.
