CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCING THE BEARERS
Twilight Sparkle looks outside the bus as Spike, her brother that sits next to her, plays GBA. Twilight Sparkle sighs as she glances towards open letter.
“My dearest, most faithful student Twilight. You know that I value your diligence and that I trust you completely but you simply must stop reading those dusty old books! My dear Twilight, there is more to a young teenager's life than studying, so I'm sending you to supervise the preparations for the Summer Sun Celebration in this year's location: Ponyville. And, I have an even more essential task for you to complete: make some friends!”
Twilight Sparkle sighs again.
“Look on the bright side, Twilight. The Princess arranged for you to stay in a library. Doesn't that make you happy?” asked Spike.
“Yes, yes it does. You know why? Because I'm right! I'll check on the preparations as fast as I can, then get to the library to find some proof of Nightmare Moon's return,” said Twilight.
“Then... when will you make friends, like the Princess said?” asked Spike.
“Shesaidto check on preparations. I am her student, and I'll do my royal duty, but the fate of Equestria does not rest on me making friends,” said Twilight.
As the airplane lands on airport, Twilight Sparkle walks out and looks around. Spike pulls out a piece of paper from his pocket and looks at it.
“We need to take a taxi to go to our place,” said Spike.
Twilight Sparkle looks up and sees a small town not too far away.
“We’re just walk. It’s not too far away from here,” said Twilight as she walks towards the small town.
Spike sighs as he follows her.
Meanwhile, at Nightmare Castle, Trixie, Sonata Dusk, Gilda and Lightning Dust stand at the main hall.
“What are we waiting for?” asked Gilda, angry.
“The Great and Powerful Trixie has a performance tonight,” said Trixie.
“Well then Trixie, you have to cancel the performance.”
Trixie, Gilda, Sonata Dusk and Lightning Dust look at Sunset Shimmer that walks in.
“And why should the Great and Powerful Trixie listen to you?” asked Trixie.
“Today is the day huh?” asked Lightning.
Sunset Shimmer looks at Lightning Dust that walks towards her.
“The day Nightmare Moon return from her banishment,” said Lightning.
“Then we must make preparation for her arrival,” said Sunset as she walks towards the door.
“Where are you going?” asked Gilda.
“I heard the princess of the sun has a new prized pupil. I want to see who she is,” said Sunset as she walks out as Sonata Dusk follows her.
Twilight Sparkle and Spike enters a small town called Ponyville.
“Maybe the people in Ponyville have interesting things to talk about,” said Spike.
Twilight Sparkle looks at Pinkie Pie that walks towards them while humming a happy song.
“Come on, Twilight, just try!” said Spike.
Twilight Sparkle sighs as she looks at the pink haired girl wearing white T Shirt that has a big heart with blue Shirt unbuttoned and pink skirt along with blue boots.
“Um... hello?” asked Twilight.
Pinkie Pie gasps as she runs away.
“Well, that was interesting all right,” muttered Twilight Sparkle as Spike sighs.
Sunset Shimmer and Sonata Dusk look at Twilight Sparkle and Spike from the hill. ‘So, this is Celestia’s new prized pupil? I don’t see anything special about her, just an antisocial bookworm’ think Sunset. Sonata Dusk looks at her leader.
“She looks human to me,” said Sonata.
“Just shut up, Sonata,” said Sunset.
Spike and Twilight Sparkle arrive at main gate of Sweet Apple Acres.
“Summer Sun Celebration official overseer's checklist. Number one, banquet preparations: Sweet Apple Acres,” said Spike, looking at the checklist paper.
“Yeehaw!”
Twilight Sparkle looks at Applejack that spins her body and kick the tree as the apples fall down to the bucket. She sighs.
“Let's get this over with,” said Twilight as she walks towards the farm girl wearing White T Shirt with jeans skirt and chocolate boots.
“Good afternoon. My name is Twilight Sparkle—“
Applejack stops her kicking and glare towards the duo.
"What do you want?" asked Applejack.
“Well, I am in fact here to supervise preparations for the Summer Sun Celebration. And you're in charge of the food?” asked Twilight.
"Yes. My family handles food for Summer Sun Celebration," said Applejack as she continues her kicking apple trees.
Twilight Sparkle and Spike look at each other.
Trixie appears beside Sunset Shimmer and Sonata Dusk as she looks at Twilight Sparkle with the Apple family.
“So, she is the chosen one that supposed to fight us and Nightmare Moon? Trixie could take her with Trixie’s eyes close,” said Trixie.
“It is more than the meets the eye, Trixie. I don’t think it just only her,” said Sunset.
“Trixie’ll handle her piece a cake,” said Trixie.
“Right now, we just watch and analyse. We will strike when time is right,” said Sunset.
“Whatever,” said Trixie as she disappears.
Twilight Sparkle and Spike walk along the road as Spike looks back at the list.
“Decorations,” said Spike as he looks up to see the town hall.
He pushes the door open and looks inside.
“Looks like decoration is almost done,” said Spike.
“Yes, the décor is coming along nicely. This ought'a be quick. I'll be at the library in no time. Beautiful indeed,” said Twilight.
Spike looks at the front and sees Rarity in her blue shirt and purple skirt with purple boots, making her finishing touch on the wall. His eyes change into heart shape.
“Beautiful,” said Spike.
Twilight Sparkle rolls her eyes as she approaches Rarity.
“Good afternoon—“
Rarity turns her body to face Twilight Sparkle and Spike. She gasps.
“Oh my, what happen to your hair?” asked Rarity.
Twilight Sparkle sighs.
“Just feel some wind surge,” said Twilight.
Rarity smiles.
“Follow me to my place, I will help you with your hair,” said Rarity as she pulls Twilight Sparkle out towards Carousal Boutique, followed by lovestruck Spike.
Sunset Shimmer turns around.
“Our work here is done. Time to head back,” said Sunset.
Sonata Dusk looks at Sunset Shimmer that teleports out. She sighs as she teleports.
Twilight Sparkle and Spike walk towards the field.
“Wasn't she wonderful?” asked Spike.
“Focus, Casanova. What's next on the list?” asked Twilight.
Her adopted brother looks at the list.
“Uh, music! It's the last one!” exclaimed Spike.
They heard distant birdsong fanfare as they follows the sound and sees Fluttershy guides the birds singing.
“Oh my. Um, stop please, everyone, umm. Excuse me, sir? I mean, no offense, but your rhythm is just a teeny-tiny bit off. Now, follow me, please. A-one, a-two, a-one two three-“
“Hello!”
Fluttershy yelps, causing the birds to fly away as The purple with pink stripes haired girl walks towards her.
“Oh my, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to frighten your birds. I'm just here to check up on the music and it's sounding beautiful,” praised Twilight.
The light pink haired girl just keeps quiet.
“I'm Twilight Sparkle. What's your name?” asked Twilight.
“Um... I'm Fluttershy,” said Fluttershy, softly.
“I'm sorry, what was that?” asked Twilight.
“Um... My name is Fluttershy,” said the light pink girl, more softly than before.
“Didn't quite catch that,” said the purple with pink stripes girl.
Fluttershy squeaks. Twilight Sparkle looks and sees the birds return to their positions.
“Well, um, it looks like your birds are back, so I guess everything's in order. Keep up the good work!” said Twilight as she walks away from the shy girl.
Fluttershy squeaks again.
At the Nightmare Castle, Sunset Shimmer and Trixie walk in. Lightning Dust, Gilda and Sonata Dusk look at them.
“Listen. The time has come for us to act,” said Sunset Shimmer as others nod.
"All hail Nightmare Moon!"
